Our waitress was great! She was very knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, and on top of her game. She helped make our experience very pleasant. And the food was great. The atmosphere was warm and nice - even though it was continually busy. We had a very nice time. Thank you, SSG.

We had a great time. We had a large group of parents and HS age girls and celebrated one parent’s birthday. The food was wonderful and everyone found something delicious on the menu and enjoyed their meal. Paul, the manager, was so helpful in suggesting a delicious bakery and even picking up the cake for us. Classy but comfortable restaurant.

The wait was horrendous- even with a reservation. The food took forever to come out. Our server was very good and tried hard, it seems the kitchen was far behind. The food was mediocre and lukewarm. Hard to recommend this place. It has really gone downhill .

Atypical service tonight - got seated and forgotten for about 35 minutes before going back to the host station. Rocky start despite being less busy than anticipated for the holiday but the food was wonderful and perfectly executed. The ambiance is always on target.

I'm a college student and I took my 2 Korean international student friends from my university here as a going-away farewell. They loved it and kept saying the food was so good. It was Taco Tuesday and they said our appetizer nacho platter was the best nachos they ever tried. I loved the ambience and decorations, it was very classy! Our visit was a success!

We loved the food and our server was very attentive. We ordered the shrimp tacos as appetizer and they were amazing! Our entrees were also very good. The asparagus pasta was such a refreshing dish! The combination was delicious and there was no heavy cream or acidic sauces to weigh it down. My husband had the pork chop special and it was cooked perfectly. Our daughter ordered the chicken pot pie which was delicious but she said she wished it was served more in a bowl with the pastry across the entire top instead of two pastry wedges sitting on top of the chicken filling. The only complaint we had, and we were warned by the hostess that the place was very busy and maybe loud, was the fact that we sat in the back room and there was one party of six that was extremely loud. That is not the fault of State Street Grill. I just think they and all of us would have been better served if they had chosen to go to a bar or beer garden instead. Someplace with live entertainment even. One member of their party was so loud and cackling with laughter that it really took away from the ambiance of the place. Might be a good idea for Ssg to just put large groups in that back room or out by the bar and reserve the opposite area of the restaurant for a more calm dining experience. Otherwise we really did enjoy our experience.
