Exceptional food and great service… great addition to places to eat in the area.. will definitely be back

We were shown to our table and there was only one chair. There were myself and husband dining, so I had to ask for another chair. I ordered a latte from the bar, the coffee machine wasn't switched on, so I had to wait a while for it to warm up. The latte tasted strong and bitter. We queued for around 10 - 15 minutes for our lunch and the poor woman carving the meat was sweating in the heat. She kept getting a tissue out of her pocket and wiping her face and nose, then continued to serve, not washing her hands. Her hands were bright red and looked burnt with the heat. Please, get her a fan to cool her down. There was no cauliflower cheese and were told that it wasn't ready yet. The meat was pitiful and hardly any on the plate. We have eaten here multiple times and always enjoyed it, but not this time. We will try again, but at a different time

We enjoyed our pre theatre meal very much in a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive . So left feeling very chilled and looking forward to the rest of our evening

Lovely food, ambience and service. As we live by the Norfolk coast we were a little reluctant to have the oysters this far inland but they were fabulous.

Very popular destination - car park was full @ midday - beware as a Cricket club is immediately behind pub !! 😩 not saying i saw anything but word to the wise and don't park near the hedge 😉 Food was good 👍 shame no Beef available for Sunday Lunch 😕 Gravy needs some work - can disguise any plate !! It seems it's a popular stop off for the local cycling community - so get there early if you're planning to sit outside.
