Excellent food. The flavour of each dish was so good.

We were stuffed following previous nights visit to the Mermaid where dinner was a bit rich so decided to go for fish and chips. Both were the best we have tasted - fresh and not greasy. Service was excellent and the sweets were exceptional - we very nearly ordered second helpings. We will be going back soon

We had a wonderful lunch - the food was fab, service superb and ambience just perfect thank you!

Steak to share was a wonderful experience and found no fault in the side dishes which were also plenty to share for two. Service was spot on as well as the wine available with a wonderful range of English wines. One of the finer restaurants in Rye…. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is most definitely our favourite place to visit for dining, overnight stays and relaxing. Everything is perfect about the mermaid inn and the staff are fantastic and very friendly, the food is out of this world and the rooms are incredible, we love visiting and are always excited about our next visit. We can not recommend the mermaid enough
