   We have stayed at The Inn at Perry Cabin and also enjoyed several dinners at Starz restaurant while vacationing in St Michaels. The food has always been extraordinary. The setting is worth the visit. However, we were disappointed with the service this time. The staff was not attentive, took too long to take our wine and drink order after we sat down, did not refill our water in a timely manner, and as it grew darker outside, we had to ask for a light on our table, even after all the other outside tables had one.

   I was hesitant to go after reading some of the reviews, but I had a great experience with good service and delicious meals twice. The view is gorgeous. Will be back again before my stay is over.

   I’ve been coming to The Inn for many years now and always enjoyed dinning at the restaurant. However, this time it was all perfect until we got home and my husband received notifications that we were charged more than what we signed off on the bill. He always takes customer copy with him so we double checked. I said the waiter must have mistakenly entered the amount so just give them a call and they can double check their numbers. We were told the restaurant manager will get back to us. We haven’t heard back from them yet. 48 later. I am very disappointed that they don’t take customer concerns seriously as this has to do with us being overcharged in a high end restaurant, and there is no one to call us and refund the overcharge and apologize for us having to deal with this unfortunate situation. Management has seriously failed in addressing this urgent request

   We liked Stars. Food was good and plentiful and service was good. Wish the buffet had some regular bread options rather than bagels and cake style bread (carrot cake, banana bread etc.) Considering price though and the hotel brand, the atmosphere could be seriously improved outside. There were so many flies and it was impossible to keep them from landing on food! So much ended up going to waste as a result. I would probably return but would definitely eat inside.

   I was thrilled to finally be able to lunch at Stars with a friend. I could have not been more disappointed. The first two items I ordered were unavailable, a poor beginning. The soup was lukewarm. The rest of the food items were so heavily salted my feet are still swollen. To complete our wonderful meal my friend’s husband had called ahead to pay for lunch as a surprise. Apparently, this was beyond the ability of the restaurant to arrange this simple act. The surprise was on us as we were charged for lunch. We left the restaurant, Fred called to ask how it was and was shocked we paid. We then had to return to the restaurant and after a very confusing conversation finally get the charges straightened out. This is hardly the experience one would expect at a luxury property.
