   Why don't Americans understand that cheap sparkling wine is not Champagne. This was an expensive Valentine's day cruise that frankly was disappointing despite being the 5 star luxury version. No Champagne, cheap wine, good was quite good. The service quite slow, we had quite a wait for it drinks. The boat is tired now and not a premium experience. The entertainment was good but next year we'll be doing something different.

   After reading excellent reviews we chose The Star as our Honolulu dinner cruise. What a great decision! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Our server was Brandon who we found very friendly and professional. The music, the food, the atmosphere,and the gorgeous views made for a memorable cruise that we will never forget.

   I had been looking forward to the dinner cruise, and enjoyed the food very much. A few things disappointed me. Our server was a lovely person, but either incredibly new to her job or trained to be robotic. A single question about the menu would stump her. The wine selection is very limited. Our table was right next to the piano, which played pleasant, soft jazz melodies most of the time - but when the Polynesian show or the Jazz vocalist performed, it was very loud and overwhelming. It didn't help that the wind was extreme that night, so the ship never left the inner harbor except for a very brief foray into the swells to see the Hilton fireworks display. All in all, a different night out in Honolulu, but not on a par with other "five star" dining experiences in town.

   Went for last dinner on Hawaii on honeymoon. Overpriced for what you get. Food was okay, servers were a bit mechanical, they had a script and would repeat the same lines at each table. Your are cruising around Honolulu so it is very pretty. They advertisement offered dancing. However there was no dance floor - only the aisles in the restaurant and the waiters were walking up and down the aisles serving. They had an empty section of tables in front of the band - do not know why the could not have cleared for dancing, Overall, it was disappointing for the food, lack of dance space, and cost. Save your money and go somewhere else.

   I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The only thing was our service was slow. We'd order drinks and we can see it sitting at the bar for over 30 minutes, no good anymore. It was a nice sunset and a very comfortable ship. Shout out to Captain Scott Cameron and how very nice and accommodating he was.
