Thank you for being open and serving us - we had fantastic service despite having just heard that food service would be impacted by the new pandemic restrictions. We appreciated your hospitality. Looking forward to coming back in the future.
We had the filet mignon and it was tender and melted in my mouth. The asparagus had a crispness to the tips that was wonderful. We had a nice view of the city as well.
We go for the prime rib and the lobster bisque. They are both delicious!
Service was great. The food was wonderful. We even took home dessert.
Had early dinner with my sis in law for some girl time. Started with Lemon Drops and Lavender Martinis. YUM! Moved to warm buttery comp bread and each ordered the House side salad which was huge and delicious with giant chunks of gorgonzola (or bleu?) cheese. Sis had the fish n chips, 3 nicely golden brown pieces, crisp outside, moist and juicy inside. I had the crusted scallops (5) that were melt in your mouth delicious. As full as I was, I cleaned my plate it was so good and I don't even like red peppers! Too full for dessert but my eyes went straight to the Key Lime pie as soon as we were presented the menu, so dessert first next time, LOL! A little loud for 3:30pm on a Sat but could still carry on conversation easily. View always amazing even when gray and rainy. Our go-to girls spot from now on. Agree with previous reviews about lack if dress code, at least ban jeans! Yes, a little pricey but worth every cent for food, view and awesome service we got from our server, Rob!
I made a reservation a day in advance for a birthday and 11 year anniversary dinner. I requested a window table to celebrate the occasion. We arrived and we're set a roll back from the window close to another couple while a window table that was open when we arrive stayed open for over a half an hour. Aside from that the menu was very limited compared to the other times we had been there and the food was very blend on the appetizer and salty for the pasta entree. Rob Service was excellent though and much appreciated. This has always been our go-to for our anniversary but we will consider going elsewhere from now on to this experience.
I am new to the area. I done reviews ans also work on there menu items on restaurants all over from Hell's Kitchen, Bobby Flay, to Guy Savoy to many others. I don't get to do have the caliber of dinning locally.
With this pandemic going I was happy to see that Stanley & Seafort's has to taken the measure to mask up and wear glove for there employees. Stanley & Seafort's entrees was surprising well done for flavor. Prime Rib and Filet mignon.( I felt the Cuts where well done)
But I would like to see a better presentation later but I think the price was too Low for the effort . I would be happy to pay more for the meal as the presentation gets better.
I know with the new restrictions are going to make it tough but Outdoor seating could be in your favor with your lower parking lot and some seasonal special menu list.
Its was a wonderful evening.
Nice and romantic place
Outstanding service, drinks and a perfect setting to celebrate a special occasion!
Stanley & Seafort’s is especially commended for their devotion to both veterans and first responders🇺🇸🇺🇸
Jeff & PATTI Brown
waitress was horrible. She was cold and in a hurry to take our order. She never brought my husband the dinner salad he ordered. The food was not like it used to be. I think we could have gone to outback steak house and had a better steak. Food was room temp and not hot. This had been our Favorite and go to restaurant for any special occasion. We were highly disappointed.
Outstanding in every way
The menu was quite abbreviated from the usual. Food was good, not remarkable. Appreciated the lovely city view and the good attempts Covid distancing
Food was ok, but not for the price. Pretty view of the city, but not many window seats available.
We sat for 40 minutes before we even got our bread. Our salad and soup order was wrong. When we finally got our meals they were cold. We complained and so they took 20% off our meal. We did get a free dessert for our 30 year anniversary but I think that we should have been better compensated. It was supposed to be a special dinner. They just didn’t make it special. Very disappointed. We go there for all of our special occasions.
the usual fabulous food and best service to date.
Great food and service, we will be back soon!
I met up with a dear friend that has been extremely busy with a sick relative for 8 months (not due to COVID).
Our server Brittany, was wonderful, she was most helpful with food choices at particular times when we wanted something not too heavy, a middle choice and then the entrees. The Russian River Pinot was delicious with dinner and the complimentary dessert, very thoughtful and sweet.
Then Sarah V. showed up, asking us to head to the bar if we wanted to continue our chat. What? It wasn’t busy, open tables around and no one waiting for a table. We were taken aback. We asked her what and why but she again stated the bar was open to chat. Time to leave...
Was a little disappointed in the lack of menu options. Food was good, but could get the same thing for lesser price elsewhere. Service was outstanding, and the view was awesome.
Lovely evening with the hubby! Staff was amazing and the food was even better! Thank you for a wonderful night!
Food just ok for price
Celebrating a 50th birthday with 6 people. Overall good experience. Would have preferred not stuffing everyone in a booth and have a more spacious table. We did have reservations, but it felt like we were added on.
Not a bad try at Voegele but lacking something and small. As for the Scallop option, the sauce tasted like a combination of mayo and ketchup, not what I would expect and only 3 smaller Scallops! The Lobster Bisque was too salty but It had a few pieces of Lobster. The Shrimp Cevichi was outstanding and the Crab Cake was also good.
This used to be a very nice restaurant, with outstanding dishes, great atmosphere, and a high cost to go with it. Now, the menu options are very limited, the food mediocre, and the dining room half full of people dressed like they were eating fast food. The service was still decent, but the overall experience was blah. Unfortunately, the bill was still just as high... over $400 for four people, for a meal that would have been better at Applebees for 1/3 the price. I would guess that if they don't figure out their new business plan and niche soon, this restaurant won't survive into the new year-- which would be a real shame for this Tacoma icon.
Great food, service and ambiance. I love this place!
Brittany (+chefs and bartender) helped to deliver a memorable mouthwatering dinner - exceeding all expectations. We were so delighted they made it so easy to accommodate a food allergy. We thoroughly enjoyed perfectly prepared lobster and scallops with a fabulous finish of crème brûlée (including whipped creamed candle for the birthday) for dessert. Our handcrafted cocktails were just right - not too strong and not too sweet - smooth and well balanced. Such a delicious experience.
Everything was great until our waiter asked if we wanted to sign up for a reward card. However he didn’t tell us we would be charged a $25 fee for it. Other than that our food was good.
The view is beautiful, the dinner was exceptional and the service was great. The COVID-19 measures we well thought out and we felt comfortable. Enjoy!!!
Great views and the food and service both good. Their seafood tasting menu was delicious. Filet I was told were excellent. Calamari appetizer also good. Service excellent. Top notch experience
Positives-Attentive service with a relaxing & enjoyable atmosphere that was accompanied with a great view.
Negatives-Usually food has been great to excellent when I have eaten here on previous occasions. This time fish was slightly undercooked and potatoes had a slightly burned flavor to them. It looked like they may have been short staffed so I am going to chalk this experience up to the craziness of 2020 and hope that the food is back on track on my next visit.
Called two days ahead for reservations and got the day and time we wanted. Good social distancing inside and all employees had masks on.
As ALWAYS, an excellent dinner. I've been coming here since about 1974 when Chateaubriand for two was $25.00. That was before it became Stanley and Seafort's. It's our "Go To" place for my wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary . . . and other times, too!
The scallops were awesome and so was the prime rib. The bartender made a perfect dry Manhattan
Love this place. Everything is always perfect. The only thing this time, the catch of the day king salmon was a bit dry. I will definitely be back!
Food was great, service was excellent. Great view!!
Great food with an equally wonderful view. The staff were attentive and helpful. We'll be back!
We were celebrating a birthday/retirement. We were seated within minutes of arriving, the food was great, as was the service. We’re never disappointed when we dine at Stanley’s.
The temperature inside was ridiculously cold. Because it was so cold, I just wanted to eat and get out of there. Not a desired feeling when paying premium for meal.
Service was a little slow, but friendly and accommodating. Ate there for our 17th wedding anniversary. AMAZING!
I took my wife there for her birthday and loved every minute of it. Service was excellent ambience was awesome and the food was top notch.
Amazing food and service. Kitchen made a special meal for me. It was spectacular.
Great ambiance and great food. We both had the pan seared halibut with Israeli Couscous and it was amazing. Could eat it everyday. Would consider adding it to the permanent menu along with a previous special stuffed mahi-mahi. Thank you Stanley and Seaforts. You didn’t disappoint. Will be back.
