Great food and service. Going back again this week!
My lobster wasn’t cooked thoroughly. The waiter forgot to bring our gravy, sour cream & A-1 sauce. Poor service.
Not the Stanley’s of old. Linen tablecloths gone. Plating of food average at best. Did not look appealing. Server was pretty good but the overall experience was poor. I will not be going back.
Our favorite restaurant hands down. We always go there for special occassions throughout the year and they never dissapoint! The wait staff is incredible. They get everything right. My husband is in a wheelchair and is treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Thank you from the wife of a disabled veteran.
Service was phenomenal. Great food & wine/beer selection. Beautiful downtown Tacoma view.
I ordered the Caesar salad and the lettuce was floating in dressing-more like lettuce soup. Brussels sprouts were inedible--uncooked and tough. Server was nice. Manager did come apologize and took one dinner off the bill. We were celebrating our 44th anniversary as we have for many years at Stanley and Seaforts but were very disappointed this year.
Waiters/waitresses were awesome. We had a great time and great food.
We have enjoyed stanley's for several years. On this occasion we were taking advantage of their May early dinner special.generally our experience was positive; however, this was probably the first time my meal was disappointing.
Enjoyed our anniversary here. Wonderful dinner.
Usually the food is outstanding. This time, our prime rib was just okay, and not medium rare as ordered. It was too expensive to be just okay.
Our group of 7 had an excellent meal to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. Our server (Sean) was excellent and everyone enjoyed the meal. Great view.
A wonderful meal, as always. The Seafood fettuccine was great and the prime rib was very flavorful.
Wonderful food and staff! I always feel so welcome when I eat here and the food is AMAZING!!
Mother’s Day celebration!
Nice really nice
Everything was wonderful. Great service great food Made my mother’s day even more special. Thank you for a wonderful day
Had the clam chowder and Caesar salad. Neither one was good and I have noticed the quality of food has dramatically dropped over the recent years. Time to find a new spot to go to.
Very friendly staff. A diverse menu. Excellent for a special occasion.
Their food is delicious and the service was great.
I recommend the prime rib and burnt cream for dessert!
Service and food were great, a solid four stars. Only a couple of fairly minor hiccups stopped me from giving five. I felt like we had too many servers. I think by the time we got our food, we'd had six different people talk to us. It felt like we almost didn't have a single server but were being taking care of by whomever was available. For the food, we split both a salad and steak, and I really appreciate that the kitchen split things so we didn't have to do it at the table. It was the perfect amount of feed for a lighter dinner and kept the bill a little more reasonable. However the two halves of the steak were pretty significantly off. One was the medium rare that we order, but the other was *rare*. (It worked out since my fiance prefers her steak rarer, but for the quality of restaurant, I would expect the steaks to be dead on.
Again, over-all, perfectly lovely dinner for the end of a very stressful day. We were also seated along the window, and the view is just magnificent. I've been before, and I'll be back again.
The service here was amazing! I was very happy with the food, our server, and even the manager that was great.
Took my Mom for Mother’s Day. Seemed to be a limited menu. Food was so so. Very busy.
We are a Mom’s Group, our kids are on the autism spectrum, and we were celebrating Mother’s Day weekend. We had a lovely brunch/lunch at Stanley and Seafort’s!! And the young gal, blonde hair and glasses, who did the reservation, and is the hostess, was just so nice and so helpful for our party 8!!!
What's there to say? Stanley and Seaforts has been on the hill for decades - long enough to become an icon of South Sound dining. Never disappoints the palate and has a great view.
The staff is always super friendly and accommodates our requests with a smile. The menu has the timeless classics that I rely on to be there for very time I visit and a selection of new stuff for variety.
Their French onion soup is the dish from which I judge all others and has yet to be challenged.
The appetizer menu is a eclectic and refined, but includes some simple items everyone can enjoy. The bar and mixologists are also true alchemists that take advantage of NW seasonal fruits and are daring enough to push the limits. Whether it is a simple Martini, or my new favorite the "Three Berry Cosmo" you will not be disappointed.
Staff was discrete and attentive , the food was attractive and tasty, and the view was spell binding.
Very good food lovely window seat. Good evening !
Good food and nice servers. Don’t go if you are in a hurry. At times the service can be slow.
My husband I loved the cozy feel and the beautiful view of Stanley and Seaforts. It was perfect for celebrating our anniversary. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and very attentive.
We really enjoyed our early dining experience. The wait staff were pleasant, personable and non-intrusive. Lovely view. Candle arrived on top of the Burnt Cream for my husband's birthday. Unexpected!
Food was great! Stan our server was very friendly.
I thought that making reservations for 6pm meant we would be seated when we arrived, but we waited 25 minutes. I think it would have been nice if someone had offered to bring us a glass of wine while we waited since we sat at that bar overlooking the bar. We were checked on a few time during our 25-30 minute wait which was good though.
The thing that really bothered me was when we arrived, I saw the Hostess lick her fingers in order to grab the paper part of the menu. So now I'm thinking great, someone's saliva is all over the menus that they hand us...gross...
Other than the complaints, it seemed a bit overpriced for what we received. I will say the food was delicious, very tasty, it just seemed so expensive for the experience being a bit lackluster.
Excellent food, cocktails and service. The view is amazing.
Our food was good. Steaks, short ribs and the Wagyu meatloaf Wellington done perfectly. The service was excellent. We waited in the bar ahead of our reservation and were welcomed and served immediately and enjoyed the great view from there. When our reservation was ready (and on time), we were escorted to our table and transitioned to our new wait staff who recognized our special occasion and proceeded to deliver a great dining experience. The view from our window table made it even better. Highly recommend, especially if you love beef dishes done well, but there is plenty of variety for lighter dishes. Will go back.
I brought my girlfriend here for her 25th birthday before we attended a concert at Tacoma Dome.
We enjoyed the food, service was good and over all was great experience.
The noise level was so high I had a hard time hearing the person across from me. The food was very average for the prices. We sent back the soup which was very salty.
We were celebrating my husbands bday and the service was spectacular. Manager Justin Doll went out of his way to make the evening amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to all of my friends. Best service and attention to detail. I can’t wait to go back!
The food was very good as usual. Our service was pretty good overall, however, I felt that the waiter could’ve been a little more available. Especially considering the fact that it was not that busy. But he did a nice job on the average
Staff and service was amazing! Thank you for the deserts as we celebrated my moms 84th birthday.
Jose is the best server. Service is always great, we have had a part of two to a party of thirteen and every time he is awesome. And, the food is fantastic! They make every special occasion special.
Great atmosphere, good service and good food. Expensive even with happy hour.
