Our server, Lisa, was outstanding! I tried brussel sprouts for the first time and they were fabulous! The salmon was good but not remarkable. The apple crisp with the carmel sauce is worth travelling for!

I love this place. This time the server didn’t come around as much and the ahi sushi was horrible. Everything else was good tho. It just sucks paying for something that I didn’t eat and wasn’t going to eat. I ate two of them and it was enough to know it wasn’t the same as last time.

This is one of the nicest restaurants in Hillsboro. Excellent food and service. Great care taken with food allergies. Wednesdays are half price wine bottles which made for a great value and there was a nice selection of bottled wines to choose from. Very nice ambience and although we were a larger table, the noise level in the restaurant was minimum so we were all able to hear each other and enjoy the evening. Would definitely return and recommend!

Always a great place to meet friends for lunch. Great tables for large groups. Back room is quiet. Staff is accommodating for unusual diet restrictions . Close to my neighborhood.

We went as a family of 7. Made reservations. They tried to seat us a table for four right in the doorway of the dining room. Clearly wasn’t going to work for our party. Then took us in the way back to a much bigger table. Server came got us waters and appetizer. After the appetizer came it was about 25 minutes before her shadow server in training came back and we asked for our server. She went and got her and we ordered. This restaurant would’ve been perfect had the service time been better. I don’t like to be hovered over at restaurants but a little attention is needed, and the server was nice just not as attentive as she should have been with such a large party.

Staff was very attentive and service was excellent. But all of our dishes were so heavily salted it affected the taste. We want heart healthy food so won't be returning any time soon. Too bad.

Got to the restaurant about 15 mins before our reservation time. The hostess was going to seat us but was stopped by another staff member who told her to wait because we were early. Not sure why we were made to wait until our reservation time before finally being seated. If I had known that, I wouldn't have made a reservation in the first place since we went in at non-peak time.

My date and I had a really good time at this place. Our server was very helpful when it came to ordering our food. She suggested the kind of food that could go with our drink and all. Overall, loved the atmosphere, everything went better then I planed.

We split an order of prime rib and it was cooked to perfection. We also upgraded our vegetables from broccolini to asparagus which was very good. Our waitress was aware of out wanting to enjoy our wine before ordering dinner and enjoying a cup of coffee after dinner. Everything was perfect! We highly recommend Stanford's at Tanasbourne.

I came here wirh a small group of people for my 27th birthday. This place is usually always on point when it comes to service, but on this particular day the waitress who was helping us seemed very rushed and forgetful. She was quite rude, too. Though I don't think she was trying to be. There was a very large group near us that was probably stressing her out, but I don't feel like that should have become our problem. We were more than nice to her, but were constantly met with snark. Anytime she'd stop by the table for any reason, she would bolt away before any of us had the chance to ask her for more water. She left so quickly after taking appetizer orders, that one of my friends, who had planned on ordering an app, didn't get to. We weren't even done ordering and she just left... Just, really dissapointed with the service on my birthday. Food was great tho, as always.

We always enjoy Stanford's for food, service and value that range from good to excellent; this was no exception.

It was a busy night, but we were seated at our reservation time. Service was friendly and professional, but there were some stretches when we'd have liked more water or tea - a minor issue, but normally service is more on the spot. Our waiter was very friendly, and very kindly accommodated a couple of minor substitution requests on our entrees.

Food was excellent - we had filet mignon, it was prepared as requested, and the flavor and tenderness were an excellent value for the price.

I made our reservation for 5 people. Our table was in a room with a large group - I would say maybe 18 to 20 people very close to us. We couldn't hear or converse. There was nothing wrong with the group - it was just large. We asked if they could move us to a quieter area and fortunately, they were able to accommodate us and did so quickly and courteously. Otherwise it would have been a very unpleasant dinner but turned out great.

Food was good. Especially good was the salmon chowder. My swordfish was overcooked, often an issue with fish in restaurants. Served with a pineapple couscous which was very good. My wife and almost daughter-in-law loved their shrimp scampi. We had a reservation for 5 and the hostess seated us at a table next to a very large party which not only was noisy but were standing and invading our space. The hostess did not intervene or offer us an alternative. This was totally unacceptable. So we moved ourselves to a quieter place and were eventtually reseated to another quieter space.

Our server Jennifer was very attentative.

Delightfully surprising, "old school" dark wood cozy bar in a suburban shopping strip. Good food and respectable wine list that hit the spot in a sea of chain restaurants.

Received appetizer with main meal, one of us received coleslaw on their plate, which he did not want, and they just took the plate back to the kitchen and scraped it off and returned the plate. Another of the party didn't want veggies and double fries got the veggies only. Server was slow and it will be a long while before we retrun.

The food is reliably good. Not fantastic or super, but good. The prices are reasonable and the noise level is not too high. You can actually talk to the person you're dining with. So I would call it romantic as well - lots of booths that are private. The light level is not too bright.

Arrived at 7:45 no wait. After we got our drinks we ordered our food, waitress said salad or soup after each meal was ordered(fish/ chips & chicken tacos ). Was surprised they weren't busy as it was Saturday night. Dinner didn't come until 8:30, was disappointed with the wait. Was shocked when I got the bill & was charged $21.00 for 3 cesear salads that was presented to me as part of the meal. Waitress should have pointed out this was an additional charge. It's sad when a simple salad is more them my beer! Not sure if its worth going back. Don't want to remember not to order salad as its too expensive.

The prime rib and steaks were great and a value. The salmon a tad small on the portion side, but well prepared. Not enough crab in the crab cakes, but tasted great. The service was excellent, despite being a large party, and requesting substitutions. Salads were fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back.

We have eaten at Stanfords for years... sadly this time it was really disappointing. Starting with the ice tea we both ordered... it tasted MOLDY - really awful. FYI.. it was 5 pm, so early-ish dinner on a Monday. I ordered the prime rib, medium rare - no mashed asked for extra "seasonal veggies"... husband ordered the halibut fish and chips. After taking the ice tea away our server brought waters that we asked for, delivered our meals. The prime rib was medium - going toward medium well. DISAPPOINTING. And the "seasonal veggies" a MOUND - and I mean a MOUND of broccolini. It was flavorless and VERY greasy - HOPING it was olive oil, however, I only ate about 3 stalks. The best thing on my husband's halibut fish and chips were the fries - and only because they were hot. The fish was terribly overcooked - almost inedible. Our server came by and asked "everything tasting ok? - Ok." And walked away before we could answer! He literally answered his own question to us, for us! (probably inexperience) I think because he could see we were not really enjoying our meals. We have eaten here when was mediocre... and when it was not so good, but this was probably one of the worst times for food and for service. If we had not been leaving for an appointment I probably would have followed through with a manager - however, at the prices Stanfords charges, you really shouldn't have to EVER consider a manager except to possibly say it was really good. I am not a fan of negative karma so it pains me to leave this review however, considering this visit and previous experiences I feel I need to report our opinion/experience.

Excellent service from the greeter to server! Portions overly large - either have to waste or carry home and not always convenient to take home if going on to movie, etc. Smaller servings could bring down the average $30+ price for dinner & beverage.
