Jose was our server and he was the best! He has a happy attitude and was attentive to all of our needs.
Always a treat to eat at Stanfords. Love the smoked chicken linguine.
Been to Stanford's many times but this time was pretty disappointing. Never been to this location either. We were placed in a quiet part of the restaurant outside the bar area. The server got our drink order. I received mine but my girlfriend got hers after we received our meal. That's 30 minutes in. Nothing was said about it. The steak was great but the sides were tiny. Waters were filled once long after they were drained. It was definitely a server issue. Still tipped 20%. Which is quite low for me especially during these times. Buck up Stanfords!
Our service was great. We actually arrived early for our reservations but were seated right away anyway.
We ordered onion rings for our appetizer, as we both love onion rings, and I did like the light batter that was used. The dipping sauce was also very good. It surprised me that the dipping sauce was buttermilk garlic. I didn't taste much garlic. But they were tasty.
I ordered the Filet Mignon Cabernet Tips which I found to be very bland. I thought it should've been seasoned better. In my opinion the dish relied too much on the flavor of the mushrooms & sauce instead of the entire dish. The steak wasn't as tender as I expected Filet Mignon that I've had in the past. I think the seasoning used on my husband's steak should've been used on the sirloin tips before adding the sauce. That would've enhanced the flavor alot. I did order sautéed onions to be added on the dish and that added some of the much needed flavor. I wish there had been more of the grilled onions.
I had two bites of my husband's steak which we both thought was tender, seasoned well, juicy, and cooked to perfection.
His baked potato was huge and the asparagus and green beans, which I had, were very well cooked & seasoned. They were not over-cooked at all.
Since this was our anniversary dinner we were surprised with a free dessert. We picked the chocolate mousse cake which was divine, rich and very full of flavor. We enjoyed it very much. Thank you for that.
This was our first dining experience at Stanford's.
Will we return to your restaurant? I don't know.
My husband's steak was wonderful, the vegatables not over-cooked and the devine dessert. The wait staff wasn't overly attentive, but there when we needed him. So, I think we might return, but for a steakhouse restaurant, I didn't find anything unique to make me want to make Stanford's my new to-go-to place for steak.
Only thing to complain about is the booth cushions could use some reinforcement.
Food was excellent, service was very good.
Their new menu is great. More options to choose from. Server was also friendly and personable. However, did not get his name.
It took 15 minutes to get service. No water no hello, no nothing. The restaurant wasn’t even busy. Food was just okay and we set among ugly fake poinsettias.
We had wonderful service and the food was EXCELLENT we had ribeye and they were cooked perfectly
The food was very good, and while the lunch menu is small it gives a wide variety of choices.
What more could you want? Good food and excellent service about sums up our experience last night. Will be back for sure.
My Father’s Birthday. Good meal, friendly service, great conversation. Only issue was that dad drank them out of Jack Daniels.
The servers were helpful and thoughtful in their interactions, even with each other. I really got the feel that they operate as a team! Great to see that!!
Inattentive wait staff
We had the Prime Rib and it was done perfectly and was very tender. The half order of house salad was a very large portion and had many fresh ingredients. Really enjoyed our meal and couldn’t ask for better service.
It was a good experience
Had a great evening. Second time my wife and I met with friends for dinner. Definitely will be back. Great service and delicious food. Thank you all
We received the BEST service we have ever experienced at ANY Stanford restaurant. I wish I could remember the young man’s name. He did tell us he came here from Mexico or Guatemala about 12 years ago. He was pleasant, attentive and helpful. He made our experience even more wonderful!
I ordered a $29 dollars center cut steak. What I got was less then 1/4 inch thick with a bunch of fat on it. It looked like a thin slice of poor roast beef. They took the charge off our bill but it was by far the worse steak I have ever had in my life and I am 65 years old. The baked potato was greasy. How do you even make a greasy baked potato? Needless to say, we won't be going back.
My fish tacos were pretty soggy, and not actually crisp. I also think I got the bottom of the rice because parts of it were hard and clumped together. Drinks were good, my husband liked his burger. The avocado salsa on both of ours was great. Waiter was pretty slow.
All in all it was a good evening. The only slight complaint was the pork chops were a little over cooked. We have done Valentine's at Stanford's for 3 years in a row and will probably will make it 4 next year.
knife too dull to cut steak, price was too high for what you got. Vegetable was Brussels sprouts. They were dry and over roasted. Not very flavorful. But the company that joined me was wonderful.
Never not satisfied. Always leave sated and overall happy and that consistency is rare for a restaurant.
We reserved a table for Valentine's early in the evening. They did have many nice booths though we were escorted pass them into a back corner table. While getting our cocktails the picture on the wall released and fell off which hit the table and knocked the waters over and drenched one of my guest. Shortly after we ordered the noise level from the toddlers being sat next to us was very distracting, needless to say it was not enjoyable. We then received our meals before our salads. Unfortunately my guest who was doused in water, now cold had her steak so undercooked she needed to send it back. I have to say the food was average nothing stood out. They did offer one appetizer or dessert for our troubles. We will pass on coming back.
Overall service and food was good. My father is 89 and walks with a walker, he is very frail and can only walk a few steps without resting. Unless I ask in advance, the hostess always wants to walk us to the very back of the restaurant to be seated. We walk past rows and rows of open booths. It might be wise to train staff to ask elderly patrons or those with disabilities if they would prefer to sit close to the front of the restaurant, rather than risk a fall by having them march to the very back of the room.
Food was great, enjoyed it all and cooked just right!
The food was delicious but the service was horribly slow. It took at least 10 minutes before our drink order was taken. Then we had our appetizers (after quite a long wait) at our table before our dinner order was even taken. Sat for 30-45 minutes after we were finished before our check arrived. Server was friendly... The only reason she got as much of a tip as she did. But the guy who bright out the appetizers was terribly rude.
We love Stanford’s!! The food is excellent as is the service-always consistent on both!! Thank you!!
We go here once a month to have dinner with my in-laws. My in-laws go every Wednesday. I'm sad to say this last visit we waited forever for the waiter, I actually had to go get him. We waited too long in between drinks, soups ect. When my dinner arrived the garlic mashed potatoes were cold to the touch and the short spareribs we so dry. I said something to the waiter, but nothing. So I paid $29.00 for a half cups of Brussels and dry ribs. BIG DISAPOINTMENT
My daughter and I drove 3 hours from Seattle to Portland. After being on the road late that night, we saw that I could make a 8pm reservation for us to get a late dinner after crossing the border into Oregon. We were greeted and sat down by the Hostess all the way in the back of the restaurant. But after 15 minutes of waiting and not even offered a glass of water for both me and my 14 year old daughter, we walkes out and left. No one at the Front desk even stopped us or apologized to us or asked us why we were leaving. Never again. Not a good way to leave an impression. Especially when I made the Open Table reservation 20 minutes prior to 8pm.
Walked in and the staff would not honor our reservation. We waited over 30 minutes and were not quoted a wait time. They told us our table was ready upon entering. When asked the hostess they said just another minute and we waited an additional 15 minutes. Service was slow so we left after an hour. Staff was not apologetic nor accommodating.
Had attentive and pleasant waitress for business lunch meeting for five.
Ordered 2 rib eye dinners from a reduced holiday menu. 1 rib eye was fine, the other was thin, fatty, grisly. Not a quality cut of beef at all. Certainly not a cut worth 30 dollars or so. One of the dinners came with mashed potatoes, they were cold. The other had Baker, which was fine. Dessert was creme brulee and was very good. Service was very good in general.
Foods the best. The atmosphere is great. You can go out and actually visit while you eat. The servers are also the greatest
Drinks were slow to come, the appetizer beat them to the table. The food was amazing as always. Quiet enough to carry on a conversation. Great place!
Wait staff in ugly Christmas sweaters. Limited menu for Christmas Eve with no forewarning. 12oz. Filet may have been 8oz. We used to think highly of Stanford’s but now not so much. Sizzler with higher prices.
Enjoyed a lovely Christmas Eve dinner at Stanford’s. Was not expecting a limited holiday menu but the waitstaff was very accommodating with a couple of substitutions.
We went for Christmas Eve - it was very busy and a little louder than normal. They do have a limited menu for Holidays but the food was very good. The server was busy but very friendly & personable. I think overall the have a great menu and nice atmosphere. Will return!
Our service was very good and the food was excellent. Booth was very comfortable and we were sat at the time we had scheduled our reservation.
As always, the food was wonderful. Our waitress was super friendly and efficient, but there was clearly a problem in the kitchen. Our party of 10 - 7 served at once and the remaining 3 got their mail 15 minutes later. One ordered chicken frajitas and got everything but the chicken, which arrived another 5 minutes after last 3 were served. Awkward for most to be nearly finished with their meal before others get served. Otherwise, the usual good dining experience.
We went there prior to attending the nutcracker. Service was fast and correct. Food was delicious. We had 3 kids and 4 adults and everyone was happy with dinner. We will be back
