Seems to have stepped down a notch since the last time I was here. I love going to Stanford's, but seems to have changed... Can't pinpoint what or why. Maybe it's the migration to the new management company. I liked my Spinach Salad with Salmon, however the piece of Salmon was really small! The onion rings were really good. Everyone else in the group seemed to enjoy their meals. KM
This is always a very nice place to eat and the food is always very good.
Table ready very near time of reservations. Back room seating so noise was not a problem. Very attentive server. No rush for our party to leave.
Excellent service, great food and good prices
I really only went there because I had a gift card from a year ago. The wait person gave me a funny look when I handed her the GC. She explained that the GC might not be good since there was some sort of bankruptcy/buyout last July and certain cards might only work at certain Stanford's?!? Luckily the GC still had its value and everything was great. Oh, the food was fine.
The food was bad and service was super slow. The prime rib was of low quality and not cooked right. The service was almost nonexistent.
No complaints! Food and service was excellent. We come here every year for Christmas eve and will probably continue to do so.

Service was outstanding but sorry to say the food was really not great, particularly for the price. We had “surf and turf” for $36 and the steak was tough, shrimp inedible and asparagus grilled to the consistency of a bamboo stalk! Pretty disappointing for a special occasion. Oh and all was served cold. Not a great experience.
Great place great food and very affordable, I paid for the whole bill and my date left right after, she didn’t even come over so that’s whack.
Great food and nice environment
Service and food were good. We had an issue with a gift card due to the changes from RU Restaurant ownership. We chose to have lunch there because we thought we had until the end of December to use the gift card. We don't feel that those changes re: new ownership and rewards programs have been communicated well to patrons.
Sadly restaurant just got bought out. It was my birthday and my 34 ribeye was a flat piece of meat . Did not make a big deal as we were with friends but it was my birthday ! Cheesecake was good . Waitress great . Don’t think I will be going back and not a lot of options in clackamas . Boo hoo !!
Salmon and dessert was fantastic. Service was kind, but very slow. Seemed like they were a bit understaffed
Our wait staff was attentive, detail oriented, and warm. Food was good.
Good food with a wide variety of choices and prices. Our table was set and ready and handicapped accessible as requested. Our server was outstanding
A little on the pricey side, but the food was excellent, the wine was excellent, it was calm and quiet, and it was comfortable. The decore is nice, modern but relaxing. I wouldn't go here every day, but it will be my go to when I need a calm, relaxing treat. It's like the meal version of a spa day.
Love coming to Stanford's for the Holidays. Warm and cozy atmosphere. Excellent quality food and service.

We love coming to Stanfords but this time the buffet food was disappointing. It was mostly lukewarm or cold and should have been hot. By 5 you ran out of cranberry sauce. The selection was good. For dessert the pie and pumpkin cheesecake were good. The tarts were all crust and very little filling. Don't do them again. The wait person forgot the wine order and we had to ask again. A very mixed bag and if we ever do this again I will not choose the buffet. Thanks for asking.
The restaurant did not have our reservation for Thanksgiving. Luckily they were still able to promptly seat us. The Thanksgiving buffet was fully stocked and very good food. Well worth the price and would do again.
Today was Thanksgiving. Stanford’s offered a lovely buffet with Ham, Turkey and all the trimmings. As well, there was a limited plated dinner menu. So, while one of us visited the traditional Thanksgiving Dinner buffet, the other two enjoyed Panko Chicken Dijon and an incredibly tender Beef Filet. We all were very happy with our meals. Our waiter was attentive and efficient, and the setting was warm and pleasant. It was a very Happy Thanksgiving for our family. Thanks!
Our server seemed to be friendly and present when we first arrived and when we were leaving. She never checked on us, not once, during our meal. As it turned out, the short ribs I ordered were horrible, all bone and fat. I had to work hard to get any meat off the bone. When our server finally appeared to bring our bill, we told her how disappointing the food was. She merely replied that those short ribs are known not to have much meat. We looked at her with a perplexing look wondering if that’s all she was going to say. She finally said she’d go talk to her manager. She came back and confirmed that style of ribs are not meaty, but if we want she’d remove it. Ummmm hello, yes please. I’m not paying for bones. She gave horrible service.
We had a reservation for 6 PM. We arrived at 5:55 and checked in with hostess. We were told to have a seat and they would be right with us. 15 minutes later we are still sitting. Other people are arriving without reservationa and are being told there is a 5 to 10 minute wait. Most of those are then seated before us. I finally asked a different hostess, that we had 6 PM reservation and how much longer it would be, she immediately looked us up in the system and seated us immediately. I had always thought when I take the time to plan and make a reservation, we would be treated as such. We were there to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary, you sure did not help start to make it special. The rest of the evening went well.

This was our first visit since the company, Restaurants Unlimited, went bankrupt and our first visit to Stanford's Clackamas in some years. The first thing we noticed was the new decor and redone benches because it seemed new, not like the rundown one in Jantzen Beach. I asked the waitress and she said it was like this when she started in January so it was done before they went under. The service from beginning to end was superb, some of the best we have had in any restaurant. The offerings were great. We both had salmon with two vegetables (no potato which we did not want) and the fish was perfectly prepared along with perfectly cooked especially the seasoned roasted cauliflower. We had a starter salad with our wine and a cheesecake with coffee. Everything was great. It was reminiscent of the early years at this restaurant before they were sold to RU.
Good and knowledgeable server with great overall service with great food, friendly atmosphere
Great service and the Prime Rib was delicious. Overall it was a bit on the pricey side.
One of my go to restaurants. I have been there many times and never had a bad experience.

The new/change in ownership has made the rewards program a bit confusing, but the excellent staff at Stanfords always handles everything in a professional and fair matter.
Very busy lunch hour. Our waitress who has been there for a long time is usually very attentive. Yesterday she must have been having a bad hair day. food yummy as usual, but the service was not.
Our visit was stellar. LOVE the food. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant.
Can't wait to make a return visit.
Your menu has very few gluten free options. Disappointing for some in our group.

Panco-crusted chicken is amazing, every time! Can’t beat steelhead with asparagus as our kid’s favorite meal, either 😄
We went for our 40 Wedding Anniversary and were treated exceptionally well. The wine offered was great by the wine goddess. Food great and got a quiet table just as I asked for. We will be back.
Server was rude, arrogant, unfriendly
Had to ask multi times to refill our water, disappeared at one point had to request someone else to attend to us. Never checked with us to see if anything needed
She needs to get more educated on customer service.
Can’t beat Panko crusted Dijon chicken! Plus, out child just loves steelhead with asparagus for her kid’s meal!
The quality of food has always exceeded my expectations. Tried the drink special and was not to my tasting. Stanford's happily exchanged for something else (no additional charge), much appreciated!
