Prominently situated in the heart of Coronado’s iconic village, Stake is a modern take on the classic chophouse of decades past with a chef-driven menu sourced with only the highest quality ingredients available.

Chef de Cuisine Sergio Jimenez’s menu includes a number of share-friendly filets, chops, Japanese A5 wagyu, and dry-aged prime steak, an expansive selection of seafood appetizers including raw oysters from both East & West coasts, Alaskan King Crab, ice-cold shellfish & crudo, healthy salads, and rustic, wood fire-roasted side dishes, in addition to a handful of freshly composed seasonal seafood entrées.

Amazing! We were in San Diego for the weekend & my fiancé loves steakhouses. Did a search & found Stake Chophouse. & im so glad I did!

We started off with drinks ~ Hat Trick & Old Fashioned ~ both were delicious ~ & ordered Rockefeller oysters which were yummy!

My fiancé ordered the 14 day dry aged rib eye & it’s one one the best steaks he’s ever had (& that’s saying a lot because he is so picky!)

I ordered the lobster & crab cioppino & I’m so glad I did! The broth & garlic toast were perfect!

Lastly we ordered the stake chocolate cake & tried the Old Rip Van Winkle to end the night & it was the cherry on top!

Great service & staff! Will definitely come back!

We visit there from out of town 5 times a year and they always remember who we are and really make you feel welcome and appreciated!

And how they cook they cook that American Wagu Eye of Rib to perfection every single time amazes us!

Very good but a bit on the expensive side. The 4% surcharge is ridiculous. Just add it to the menu prices so that customers don't feel that they're being nickel-and-dimed.

This could possibly be the best food and service I have ever experienced. Monica was our server and she was the best. She was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was cooked perfectly. It was expensive, but as good as it was...well worth it.

Our waiter, Jeremy, was outstanding and extremely knowledgeable about the menu, wine and food pairings. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the ambiance was relaxing. Definitely would recommend the dining room experience with Jeremy!

The Lamb chops were out of this world . Add the sautéed Brussel sprouts for a treat . The mixed drinks are creative . .Order anything with cucumber juices . The Red Wine suggested by our server was perfect with the rack of lamb . We were so full that we skipped desert ,,

Our server, Nate, I believe that was his name. He was absolutely amazing, fun, and knowledgeable. Even went out his way to make sure the Birthday girl got a slice of chocolate cake.

I was disappointed when I reserved my table over 5 days prior to arrival, get confirmation of reservation, and I even call ahead to ensure reservation is still good and I get there and have to wait to be seated. Yet, someone who just "walked up" and asked for a seat for two got seated before us. Very disappointed.

Apps were great, meal was ok. Had the half lobster and wedge salad to start and as said they were great. As for the meal when you spend that kind of money on a steak you expect it to be great. I had the 14 oz Wagyu from Idaho. While it was good it wasn’t what I expected. Ordered medium rare and it was much more on the rare side. Having had Wagyu on numerous occasions at other steak houses this one had much more chew to it. For desert we had cheese cake and it was warm. It may just be the way they serve it but again wasn’t what we expected. It could have just been a bad night as the AC was not working in the restaurant either. A little disappointed given it was our 5 year anniversary.
