Terre Haute Brewing Company erected our beautiful Victorian Stables building in 1890. The building actually housed Clydesdale, Belgian and various other draft horses that delivered beer for the brewery. For private groups, the rear two-thirds of the upper level is our grand banquet hall. The room seats groups from 30-100. Lavish buffets or sit down meals for business dinners and programs, family gatherings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and holiday parties. At Stables Steakhouse we want you to sit back and relax. Take in the surroundings and enjoy the finer things in life...a big steak, a great bottle of wine, and warm hospitality!

I have had gastric bypass surgery so I eat off of the kids menu, my husband gets regular portions. We were told yesterday that you no longer allow that. So we probably will not be frequenting this restaurant any more. Which is sad because we would go there every Anniversary. I think there should be accommodations made when asked ahead of time.

Each time we visit Stable’s Steakhouse, we are pleasantly surprised and impressed with the dishes they serve. Our waiter, Peter, is one of the absolute best around. He does a phenomenal job taking care of us and even double checking to see what the kitchen does and doesn’t have on those busy weekends. Food is always great. Staff is the best around.
