Terre Haute Brewing Company erected our beautiful Victorian Stables building in 1890. The building actually housed Clydesdale, Belgian and various other draft horses that delivered beer for the brewery. For private groups, the rear two-thirds of the upper level is our grand banquet hall. The room seats groups from 30-100. Lavish buffets or sit down meals for business dinners and programs, family gatherings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and holiday parties. At Stables Steakhouse we want you to sit back and relax. Take in the surroundings and enjoy the finer things in life...a big steak, a great bottle of wine, and warm hospitality!

We had one of their specials of the night, surf and turf. Consisted of a 5 oz filet mignon and grilled scallops. We loved it, as usual.

The service was excellent and the food awesome. The only negative was that all three of our steak knifes were not very sharp. Cutting steak needs sharp utensils and makes eating it more enjoyable.

My wife and I have been there 3 times in two years. They’ve had different specials each time we’ve gone. If there’s a special and it’s extremely large like a 2 1/2lbs tomahawk just get it take what you can’t eat home. Their meatball appetizers are the best and we’ve gotten their bread pudding as a dessert which was also amazing.

We went for our anniversary and everything was exceptional. I believe our waiter was Frank who did an outstanding job taking care of our table and the food was amazing!

Our waiter Peter, whom we’ve had several times, is always knowledgeable about the menu items and describes the specials with great detail so you know what you are ordering and what to expect . No matter what you order, the kitchen staff prepares it just right every time. From appetizers to the main course and even desserts they get it right all across the board. Tonight for dinner we had four filet mignon orders and two tomahawks with everything coming out with the best flavor and tenderness.

We had a great time with some new clients. Service was incredible. We didn't have some inconsistency on the cook on the steaks. Flavor was great.
