Stable Café is open daily from 11AM to 2PM for guests of Biltmore Estate.

Satisfy your appetite for house-smoked meats, Carolina barbeque, grilled burgers, and other southern favorites in a historic setting that was once the estate's horse stable.

Biltmore tickets or an annual pass are required to visit all restaurants on the estate. For seasonal evening events, dinner reservations for all the guests in the party must have an evening-specific ticket or be an estate lodging guest. Dinner menu is a three-course, prefix menu.

The convenient location next to Biltmore House, friendly hospitality, and delectable food make the Stable Café a popular stop after visits to the house and gardens. The ambiance of the historic surroundings in the renovated stable complex is unmatched.

We dined for the Candlelight Pre Fixe Menu. The service was acceptable but nothing exemplary. We were seated near the kitchen and it was loud, bustling, and distracting. The duck fat cornbread was great but the mains were bland and uninspired. The braised short ribs tasted and looked like pressure cooked pot roast without any seasoning. Overall for 2 adults and 2 children it was $250 without any drinks and not worth the price tag.

We had plenty of time, but food came out unusually slow. The dinner service took about 90 minutes. We also asked for a booth, but first time in 8 years they didn't accomodate the request. Food and server were both excellent.

The ambience was so much fun, especially sitting in one of the booths that are like a stable. The staff was very helpful and attentive, and the food was delicious.

We have been to the Stable Cafe several times, and it never disappoints! Tonight, we were celebrating our 20th anniversary and it was wonderful!
