Visited Biltmore with a grandchild and, as usual, were impressed. Several prior visits but first dining experience at the Stable Cafe. Great atmosphere, food, and service!
This place is so beautiful inside the stables where prized horses had been kept
The food and service was outstanding! My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and they surprised us with a complimentary dessert.
Great experience. Paula was our waitress and she was very accommodating.
Service and food were great. Amazing setting in the old stable. Perfect spot for lunch after touring Biltmore and the gardens.
The food was a decent value. Our server was excellent. The noise level was very high but the restaurant was totally booked when we were there. I would definitely return on our next visit to the Biltmore.
I found the menu very limited resulting in my ordering a burger. Prices for dinners are out the roof. Side items not interesting (roasted baby carrots). We did enjoy the warm pimento cheese starter.
The service was great, the food was exactly what I wanted.
We were seated at our table five minutes after our reservation time. Then had our hot and delicious food 20 minutes after we sat down. My meal was big enough that I was able to eat it for three meals. So the upfront cost was slightly expensive it was great in the long run.
Excellent staff. Food very good
The service was fantastic, the food was average and high priced for what you received.
Stable cafe was amazing. Our waitress was great, the food was awesome. I loved being there with all the history of this beautiful place.
Donna our server was greatp
Completely enjoyed our lunch at The Stable Cafe. Service was spot on, very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. We ordered The Sampler and the Orange Creme Brûlée for dessert. Loved it all.
Food & service was excellent!
We had a great lunch here. The food was excellent. We shared a cobb salad and the sampler platter. Everything was delicious and we got seated immediately. Our server, Donna, was great! She even took the time to give us a little history of Biltmore and give us some recommendations on what to see on the property. I would recommend getting reservations early because it is popular.
Excellent food, wait staff attentive and friendly. The menu was creative (loved the pickled green tomatoes).
Every time I visit The Biltmore, I go to the stable cafe! LOVE IT!!
The new menu didn’t have anything special. Two of us got the chicken salad, which we both agree was the absolute WORST we have ever had. We ordered it in the croissant sandwich, which they did not gave at 11:30 am. They would only substitute it with a sub par , stale potato roll. No one liked it. Two guests ordered the pork sandwich which was very dry. One person ordered the turkey sandwich and he enjoyed it. One guest ordered the Cobb salad which was typical and on good greens. The only problem with the salad was the minuscule amount of dressing they used. This was not a good dining experience and we will not do it again. Eat someplace in Antler Village or the Biltmore Village before you venture to the Biltmore House. This was borderline TERRIBLE!!!
Very nice environment and wonderful food and service. We will visit again!
The service was wonderful—very accommodating to our very large party of 8 adults and 6 kids. The stable was gorgeous and definitely worth a stop if you’re at the Biltmore Estate.
Food was as awesome as we remembered from 20 years ago. The chocolate marble cheesecake was the best I have ever had.
Great food, service, and atmosphere! We sat at a table in a old stall! So
What an excellent reservations system! It allowed me to check in early, move up the time of my reservation and texted me when my table was ready. The food was excellent and fresh, quite a feat in such a large capacity restaurant. Kristil took great care of us.
Trip with my friends
My daughter is an equestrian so she loved dining in the stable. The food was okay but not anything special. The prices were moderate. We did have the last seating of the day. My husbands address the hamburger and thought it was a bit undercooked but still edible. The Biltmore salad was tasty and fresh. The Sampler Barbecue was cooked well but all sauces VERY sweet. The beans were very sweet. The blackberry lemonade very tart and tasty. Overall good experience for the price.
Great food and great service! This restaurant was conveniently located right beside the Biltmore House. Very unique idea to create a restaurant in the old stables!
Great. Good food and great atmosphere
Food was good until I bit into a bone in my pulled pork sandwich and almost broke a couple teeth. I was completely surprised as I’ve never, in my 30 years, found a bone in pulled pork. Waiter seemed disinterested when I mentioned it, moments later a member of what I can only assume was management walked over and apologized and asked if I wanted another sandwich. I know it’s a generally acceptable and kind thing to ask, but given my immediate experience, the last thing I wanted was any additional food from their establishment. No one else in my party completed their meal either (also pulled pork). Left in pain, frustrated, and out for the cost of the meal. Not likely to return to the establishment due to how things were handled by the staff and, most obviously, a bone where it doesn’t belong.
We had the special of the day a BLT that was fabulous, the best we have ever had. Also had the strawberry shortcake which was just excellent.
My daughter and I ate here at the recommendation of the concierge when we booked our stay at the Village Hotel at Biltmore. How incredibly disappointing. It is a glorified Denny's honestly. From the inattentive service, to the stale, uninspired food, the novelty of eating in the Vanderbilt's stable does NOT outweigh this overpriced waste of time. With so many restaurants so close by in Asheville, do not waste your time or money at the Stable Cafe.
Shared the hamburger. Was good. Service was fantastic.
The music was much too loud. My wife and I had to practically shout across the table to hear each other. The rock and pop music did not fit the setting of the supposed Appalachian theme of the restaurant. How about quiet Appalachian themed music to make a really pleasant experience for the clientele. I realize loud, harsh music gets people not to linger after the meal. My wife and I live locally. We want to make a tradition of eating at the Stable once a month for the years to come. But, if the music does not improve we will find another restaurant to have the monthly tradition.
My husband's Old Fashion was listed online for 25.00 when we reviewed the bill they charges 35.00 (he got two)
Great atmosphere and great service! Enjoyed the delicious food!
Delicious food and excellent waitress. Were able to accommodate food allergy. Would definitely return. BBQ sampler was superb!
Great brisket and just the meal we needed after touring the Biltmore.
This was a good option for a late lunch after touring the Biltmore house and grounds. Food and service were great. It’s right in with the shops. Then we went off to Antler Village for the petting zoo and playground, and our very long day was done.
Great location. Great service. Basic menu but well prepared.
