Stable Café is open from 11am to 3pm daily for guests of Biltmore Estate. Limited reservations are accepted before noon and after 2pm, based on availability. All others will be served on a first come-first served basis.

Biltmore tickets or an annual pass are required to visit all restaurants on the estate. For seasonal evening events, dinner reservations for all the guests in the party must have an evening-specific ticket or be an estate lodging guest. Dinner menu is a three-course, prefix menu.

The convenient location next to Biltmore House, friendly hospitality, and delectable food make the Stable Café a popular stop after visits to the house and gardens. The ambiance of the historic surroundings in the renovated stable complex is unmatched. Enjoy lunch specials like the Stable Café BBQ with 16-hour smoked Appalachian style pulled pork and local roasted chicken! Sandwiches, char-grilled burgers, fresh salads and irresistible with desserts round out the daily lunch menu.

    Our food was excellent. We ordered chicken salad sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich and loved both. Make sure to order the warm pimento cheese spread for a starter!

    Food was excellent as always but the temperature in the dining area was way too cold for us, our food cooled off quickly & we were uncomfortable while dining Otherwise it’s a great place to eat we eat there each time we go

    The catfish sandwich was marginal. It fell apart and was difficult to eat as a sandwich. A lite too gooey. Meatloaf sandwiches were enjoyed. Blackberry lemonade was the bomb, and refills were free.

    We made reservations but found ourselves hungry. The host was able to accommodate us almost 2 hours early! Great wait staff. Both of us had quarter chicken legs for our meal. Terrific food! The drinks were fantastic too (blackberry mule & sangria).

    For this to be a buffet, I was highly impressed. The oysters were delicious and the options for desserts were amazing. Most importantly the view of the sunset is spectacular.

    Recommend making a reservation, because the Stable is a busy spot at Biltmore . It is located in the stable courtyard by the estate , and there are shops to peruse while you wait. We timed our lunch after our tour of the home, which takes about 90 minutes. We shared the barbecue sampler, and it was enough for two!

    A bit pricy but if you’re looking for something a bit more than a burger you will be pleased with your lunch. A seat in one of the stalls might be a bit more quiet than one on the floor. Our server was outstanding and if representative of the rest of the staff will make your meal that much more pleasant.

    Food was very mediocre and expensive. All the food was bland and flavorless. We ordered the Appalachian Sampler and smash burger….the best thing we ate was the French fries. It was very expensive too. I was surprised based upon the reviews. I assume people visit for the novelty.

    Food was amazing from the appetizer, the entrée and dessert, amazing unique drinks, was an absolutely amazing experience. Donovan was our server and he was tremendous. What a smile, we had a great time. Would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting.

    The atmosphere was exactly as we three expected, friendly and relaxed. Each of us tried a different entree and each was very good. Always nice to try something different and your menu certainly provided that. We were introducing a friend from Seattle to Asheville and your cafe was a wonderful start to our afternoon.

    We really enjoyed our lunch here. Great atmosphere in old stables. Food was “on-site” priced, but very tasty, so we considered the high prices a contribution to upkeep of this beautiful property! Would definitely eat here again. Recommend a reservation

    We enjoy the cafe every time we visit annually for our anniversary! We had pimento cheese, champagne, shared the sampler and they treated us to a delicious slice of red velvet cake!

    This was our second visit during our trip. The first visit was better. Ordered the same sandwich both days. First day the sandwich perfect, lots of chicken salad. Today, there was more spring lettuce than chicken salad.

    We were so pleasantly surprised with the Stables. The food was delicious and plentiful. Our server Jeff was outstanding; we didn’t need to ask for refills and he was at the table checking our food moments after it was presented. Just hope I can get reservations in future.
