About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Great for fine wines
  • Neighborhood gem
ST. JOHN Bread & Wine reflects the rhythms of its locale whilst observing the same respect for seasonal, indigenous ingredients and "the whole beast" as the bigger sister restaurant. Currently opening for dinner, Tuesday to Saturday, this branch very much beats its own drum with a menu structured towards a slightly less formal manner of dining, with guests actively encouraged to share dishes as they're ready from the kitchen.

As well as selling goods to take home from our bakery, wines by the bottle or the case can be bought from our lists to take home with some delivery available.

Bread & Wine has been voted Best British Restaurant by the Evening Standard and named as best value restaurant by The Observer Food Monthly.

Great as usual but service was a little uncharacteristically slow when asking for drinks and ice. Just thought you should.

Fantastic experience! I always wanted to go there since I saw Fergus Henderson with Anthony Bourdain in one of his episodes. Now it was finally the time and I went with wifey and one of our best friends and we had a blast. Next time in London I'd like to go there again

Excellent as always - on this occasion to salve souls after a work disappointment - but if anything even better than the many celebrations we’ve had here. Gets closer and closer to the dream restaurant of my imagination each time. Perfect soundtrack of happy voices, such lovely staff who always hit the right note and who have clearly eaten the food, great wine list - all these complement the consistently excellent food that manages to offer both comfort and adventure.
