This was my first visit to St Jack for Sunday brunch, and it won't be my last. Excellent brunch drinks (bubbles, beer, wine, cider & cocktails), and an excellent menu. The Maple Bacon side may well have been the most delicious bacon dish we've ever had. I had the omelette, which my wife said sounded boring, but it was delicious. Add a side of hash browns for good measure
Food was excellent! The waiter recommended a great wine. Overall great experience.
We love St. Jack. We're from out of town (in Oregon) and dine here every time we are in Portland. However, two of the last three times we have been there, they were out of Ricard -- bad for a French restaurant! But we'll be back. The steak frites was very good, the Normandie mussels were delicious. The padron pepper appetizer is a hit. Our server was charming and efficient.
we had a Birthday to celebrate. This is standard European style where time is relative to the company you keep. Great experience for a long visit with food.
It is wonderful to able to get the seared fois gras at brunch!! I have ordered it at happy & dinner & always cooked perfectly!!!! Jojo was a 5 star server!!!!
My halibut was very salty and a very small piece for $37.00. it was surrounded by some kinnd of tasteless foam and green sauce. The butter lettuce salad was a lot of lettuce with not much else on it...again for the price not very good. My dinner companion also mentioned that his broth with his mussells was also quite salty.
St. Jack never fails to impress. Having dined at both locations over the past six years and always experiencing an exceptional evening, I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The staff are deeply knowledgeable yet equally engaging and helpful, never overbearing or intrusive - really a perfect balance of expertise and effortless empathy - and the food is simply perfect.
We picked this restaurant because of the mostly positive reviews on OT. We arrived on time, and proceeded to wait 90minutes or our food!!! We asked numerous times what happened to our order (as we watched plates of food passing us by). Our waitperson would give a bland look and say "it's coming".No offer of bread, a glass of wine, nada. Two people ordered the lamb confit, which were actually huge lamb shanks. Possibly, they were the reason it took so long. Another order of steak frites arrived barely warm.
The fish was ok.
Needless to say, none of us wanted to eat by the time the food arrived.

Great food and service. The chefs were excellent at the chef counter. The food was excellent and the servers could talk to them.
Aaron went out of his way to make my husband's birthday dinner extra special!! Every dish was so special and magical. The whole sataff team was attentive and made it a wonderful evening! Thank you all.
We ended up sitting outside on the bar side and Shelby took amazing care of us. I don't remember the bartender's name but when we had questions about bourbon and whiskey, he came out personally to talk us through the options and made outstanding recommendations. We'll definitely be back. By the way, the Bavette and Frites was divine!

Best seats in the house are at the counter where you get to see it all happen. Food was perfectly prepared and well seasoned. We will head back soon.
This was a special family dinner. It was the first time at this location, but we’ve been to the east side location. It was an enjoyable time. Great food, great wine and great service. We’re coming back!!
I hated most of my time there for the prices of everything. We barely got served by our waiter once we ordered small plates and brought our own wine. They charged corkage of $30 and we did not get our wine glasses nor did he pour the wine the whole time. I will not be coming back nor referring anyone there!!
Fabulous meal. Attention to detail for the food by the head chef was on point. Head chef was super nice and friendly, and clearly passionate about the food. The wine specialist was overly kind and happy to help with wine recommendations for the restaurant, as well as, the whole area. Hostess and waitress were prompt and knowledgeable of the menu. Highly recommended.
Very noisy, large party of 14 people in center of what is a small dining room made conversation difficult for all other patrons.
Very limited menu, only 4 entree's to choose from. The only special described to us was an appetizer of stuffed squashed blossoms, which we decided to order (didn't ask the price, and it wasn't mentioned by our waiter). The order came: a SINGLE blossom on a small bed of heirloom tomatoes. Who, in their right mind, who cared about their customers, would even consider serving a small (one small bite apiece) squash blossom to a table of 2 people, and then charge $17.00 for it?!
We finished our entree's, both very good but expensive ($41 for lamb confit, $37 for halibut), and then waited 10 minutes, and then had to asked to have our plates cleared from the table, although it was very obvious to the wait staff, who walked by, but ignored us.
Sat at the chef’s counter. Cool to watch them work. Excellent experience for our anniversary!
The hash browns are light and crispy yet also decadent. Croissant was perfection with the rhubarb jam. The Paris Brest is the most delicious version of a lox bagel you will ever have. The breakfast sandwich was so flavorful and the boudin dream and expertly seasoned. The servos is always friendly and impeccable. I can't recommend this place enough.
Great menu, great food. Our server repeatedly "forgot" to drop off our order resulting in a 45 minute wait for bread and appetizers arriving with our meal. The team there took good care of us though and made it right. Overall it was a good experience, but it could have been great.

We have visited St. Jack three times. We noted some new and well crafted additions to the menu. All delicious. The service was good yet we didn’t feel rushed. A very pleasant evening

Delicious Jack's Manhattan to kick the evening off, served along with pommes frites, which were burning hot when they arrived at the table ~ the only way they should ever be served. Kudos! Pasta special with fois gras butter ~ Yum. This place has never disappointed!
The food and the service was excellent but that was offset by the high prices and extremely small servings. You are not going to walk away full.
Service was a bit slow at first. Cocktails took a bit but they were worth it! A perfect French 75 and Tito's dirty martini. Oysters were very tasty. The mussels very perfect little pillows. We had a couple of special requests because of dietary issues and the chef came up with a lovely version of the halibut that fit the bill. The banana bread pudding was a big hit. Perfect for all 4 to share as very sweet. Lovely evening. I know we will return.
Food was delicious however cold when served. Need to get it served faster.
Service and kitchen very slow. Entree arrived 45 minutes after appetizer was cleared. No explanation or apology. One waitress told us they were following a leisurely schedule like this was normal. Took us 2 hours for two courses...didn’t stay for dessert.

Kimberly, our waiter made us want for nothing! Chef was very kind to reveal how he prepared the lamb. Crab salad could have more crab but I think it is off season now anyway.
Interesting cocktails and relaxed vibe. My husband's Vieux Carre request was met with a yes, rather than a typical blank stare! ;-)
Glad that St. Jack stepped up for a great cause to support as well.
Very expensive. Gnudi was ordinary.
