Overall good experience however, not sure I would go again. Dry aged steak was too charred, only good flavor was in the center. 80 dollars for a burnt, not charred steak? Thank god the peppercorn sauce made it edible. Wet aged steak was good, side dishes were fair at best. Wait, did we need to ask for bread? Every other table got bread. Maybe I missed something? Maybe just an odd night, but for the first time attending this restaurant I would not recommend.
Never a bad dinner here. The Shrimp cocktail Did not disappoint, as usual. The filet was perfectly cooked, melted in my Mouth. Will be back
The service was amazing and the food was ok.......
Great food and service. Only two small things was host desk did not greet me immediately or with warmth and a smile and the bean soup was only good while everything else was great. Top three waiters of our lives.
Absolutely love it..would go back if in town..it was our anniversary and they gave us a free dessert which was awesome would recommend the white chocolate blueberry bread pudding..
Food was delicious, however the service was lacking. My husband got the wrong steak, and he had to wait while we all kind of waited not to be so rude eating. All our meals went cold. Our server brought bread but never brought bread plates until after they took the bread away. For the price of our meal it was very disappointing.
Food was absolutely delicious. We were seated early of our reservation time. The steaks were out of this world.
We have only been there a few times & it was another special experience. This was a delayed graduation dinner & our son was treated so special without being overboard
Our server, Vladimir, was phenomenal! This was our first visit to St. Elmo and he explained everything on the menu (including the intensity of the shrimp cocktail sauce). The food was fabulous, the service was impeccable, we had a wonderful evening and a delicious meal.
Fantastic food and service
Bone in filet was wonderful,
Shrimp cocktail a treat
Joel Black was oversaw our table. It was our anniversary and he was attentive to every need. Answered our questions, kept the night flowing and was a real highlight to our experience.
First visit to St. Elmos. Started in the lounge with cocktails. Mine was horrible. Dinner followed. It was just okay for me. The shrimp was good. Prime rib was very fatty. My expectations were high based on other’s recommendations. No hurry to return.
A great evening with friends. As with each visit, the St. Elmo team was very attentive and classy.
The Filet was perfectly Cooked and one of the best I have ever had. The Red skin Mashed potato’s were awesome! Server was great!
St. Elmo’s never disappoints!
Some of the best service I’ve had in years. They were extremely conscientious of covid safety precautions. And the food...their dry aged rib eye was better than the steak I had at Peter Luger’s. The filet mignon could have been cut with a spoon. Also, the shrimp cocktail will cure any sinus ailment you have and was so delicious.
Such a wonderful experience! My family and I went to celebrate both my brother and sister's birthdays. Andy C. was our server and he was phenomenal! Extremely knowledgeable, kind, polite, and efficient. He knew his way around the menu, and even gave us a quick history lesson about the restaurant. We cannot wait to go back. It's one thing to have delicious food (which it was, everything was so fantastic and flavorful), it's another thing when it's matched by impeccable service. Thank you Andy!!
This place is definitely in my top 3 restaurants in the country. Will definitely be back.
The BEST, most decadent steak I've ever had in my life! The cocktail sauce is amazing. I do not eat shrimp, but the waiter brought me my own bowl of cocktail and crackers. Service is impeccable. It's definitely a splurge but worth it at least once a year. We'll definitely be back next year.
Nice surprise having the Sunday dinner menu. It was perfect for our need. It was my wife's birthday so that was the occasion for our visit. Our waiter was excellent. We both enjoyed everything about our dining experience. Thank you so much!
It was an awesome anniversary dinner, and we loved the "Happy Anniversary" note we received! We also really appreciated the dessert that we got for having an anniversary.
Great like always. I must for a great steak in Indy.
Amazing service and amazing food!!! It was such a fun evening and everything from start to finish was outstanding!
Very good quality food and drinks great service too
Had high expectations going in and hey exceeded them!
Roxanne provided an amazing experience for us and our friends. Can’t wait to go back!
The wife and I enjoyed our first trip to St. Elmo, great food, great service, and we will be back in the future!
Top quality restaurant! Before our meal, we went upstairs to the lounge for a drink. Highly recommend the smoked bacon appetizer on their bar menu. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection and my chicken was extremely moist and flavorful! I really enjoyed the parmesan crisps that were offered in the breadbasket. You won't be disappointed in your meal but it is quite pricey!
We had a wonderful Anniversary Dinner on Saturday night. They were very busy and we couldn't get a reservation until 9:45 but they let us come on in a bit and enjoy the lounge upstairs while we waited. They had our table ready early and we got to enjoy the rest of the evening. Mark was very knowledgeable and helpful! Thanks St. Elmo's for a memorable night.
Great place, great food and perfect service. Absolutely one of the best steaks I’ve ever had
Our server Jason was great. Phil in the bar upstairs was exceptional as well.
Very overpriced for the quality. Understaffed as well.
St. Elmo is a top steakhouse! Excellent food, superior service, and a distinguished atmosphere make it a night to remember!
Shrimp cocktail was outstanding, as was the bone-in Filet Mignon - wonderful robust flavor, very tender. The USDA Prime Dry-Aged New York Strip was beyond disappointing. Ordered medium rare, it was still tough as nails and lacking flavor. Very disappointing for the money. Similarly, the crab stuffed shrimp entree was disappointing - run of the mill crab stuffing, overcooked shrimp and not nearly enough buerre blanc. Stick with the shrimp cocktail and the bone-in Filet Mignon and you should be a happy diner.
Best place for steak in Indianapolis. We go there every time we visit Indianapolis. Simply the best.
Been to many higher end steakhouses and although the shrimp cocktail was fantastic the Filet lacked taste/flavor. It was the least seasoned steak I have ever had. The Bread Pudding has potential but a bit on the dry side. Waiter was outstanding, bar staff in the upstairs lounge left a lot to be desired on friendliness and efficiency. First trip to Indy if we ever go back another steakhouse will get our business.
The food was amazing, as always! Great service and wonderful restaurant overall.
This was our first time at St. Elmo's. It was very well-prepared. We typically go to Ruth's Chris for our anniversary and we decided to branch out and we were not disappointed. It is a different aesthetic than RC, but worth comparing.
Food and service was great. Portions were large, and I understand why the shrimp cocktail is so popular.
