Easy to eat amazing steak for twoyou're welcome.
Waiter wasn't very talkative. Overall, the food was good, but not worth the price. Hostesses were nice.
Old school place. Honestly, can not get much better
We love St Elmos. This time we sat in a room upstairs we have never been in before so that was great! Service was impeccable. But, we ordered a 45 day aged ribeye and it tasted and looked more like a New York strip. No marbeling. It was good but not the ribeye we were hoping for. Still an amazing 10 year anniversary night.
It was my birthday dinner and wow what a great experience. The service was fabulous and all staff interaction was great. Friendly and attentive. The steak, spinach salad and lobster Mac and cheese outstanding!
We love going to this restaurant. We usually sit upstairs in the bar area. The shrimp cocktail and the Mac-n-cheese are a must!!!!
I enjoy this place everytime I come! We were celebrating a friend's 50th birthday and this was the perfect spot! Thank you St. Elmo.
Service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and highly engaged. The only thing I would bring up is the price point. I don’t mind paying if the food represents the quality. My ribeye was good... but was it worth the cost, I’m not sure as I’ve had better for a lower cost. Other than that, great experience.
Such an amazing environment with the best steak I’ve ever had! It was worth every penny.
St. Elmo's is a legendary restaurant for a reason. The lively atomosphere and the friendly service makes people feel comfortable in a high-end steak restaurant. Some other similarly priced restaurants have an atomosphere where people are almost afraid to laugh. The waiter was excellent and knowledgable and it was a pleasure to show off Indy a little bit to customers through St Elmo's.
Great service from Joel and wonderful food!!!
Great wait staff. Always great food at St. Elmo’s.
We choose St. Elmos as the last meal before my husband’s throat surgery, hoping to pick the best meal I could think of. It did not disappoint! It was a whole dining experience. The waiter, Andy, was a wealth of knowledge and an interesting person. The food was incredible! It was a meal and evening to remember!
Outstanding. My favorite place to go. Fantastic service from Phillip. Great food. Loved the fact that they spread us out. I also like the fact that over the years we’ve eaten in different areas of the restaurant! Amazing place!
As it has been for years, the good and service were outstanding! This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been lucky enough to visit multiple times over the years. We live in Chicago and we drive to Indianapolis to eat there. The steaks are from their own cattle and the shrimp cocktail is the best you’ve ever had. Do not miss a chance to have dinner at St Elmo’s.
Excellent service that made our Anniversary special! Food is top notch.
Had high hopes as a first time patron. Ordered a filet mignon cooked medium. It was suggested by our server we get medium well so based on his recommendation we did. He never mention they butterfly the filet which was disappointing and ended up making the filet overcooked for all 4 in my party. The food was also close to cold with a skin formed on the hollandaise sauce. I honestly expected much more
I was misled about seating our party together. Had they been frank from the beginning I would not have been upset but I feel like they avoided telling me that if my party was more than 4 people we would not be together and possibly not even in the same room. They seated us in 2 different rooms when there was a table available right next to our party. They eventually moved us but should have put us there from the beginning. Covid sucks!
Highly recommended , the food and service is nothing less than
The food, atmosphere, service were all excellent. I would probably rate this 5's across all categories, but I do not dine at restaurants at this level, nor have steak very frequently, so to give it a 5 on value, with the total price at the restaurant considered, is difficult. I have little to compare to it in all my dining experience.
We had a wonderful meal in a small room upstairs near the 1933 Lounge.
Great place with so much history. Really enjoyed learning about the history of the restaurant and it’s owners and patrons.
Everyone always says the steaks are amazing and they are! But I just loved their wedge salad! I want to go back already!
The food was spectacular, as always. Our server was fantastic. It was a great early dinner.
Excellent food and atmosphere and the service was superb
As usual, St. Elmo delivered a great experience!
$40 devour menu was excellent. Added a side of king crab Mac n cheese, which is a must. Finished with a chocolate martini. Overall the food was phenomenal and the service was perfect. Will be going here again.
This place never fails. Our waiter, Steve Allen, is so attentive and his suggestion for the Spinelis was the best steak I have ever had.
An incredible meal all around.
Well done St Elmo’s.
Excellent service and I had the best steak I've ever had. St. Elmos is truly an icon when it comes to resteraunts.
One of our steaks came out decently raw, rest of the meal was good and service was great.
Overall it was really nice. I'm not a professional chef but do okay with cooking steaks so the cost is hard for me to justify. The steak i ordered was great and the presentation was great. We also had the shrimp cocktail that was also really good but i have been buying that sauce for years so it really wasn't any different.
I'm not sure if will go again not because of any real issues other than the cost. I would rather spend money elsewhere perhaps on food that im not that familiar with making.
Service from entering the door to paying the bill was exceptional all around, as was the meal. Highly recommend dinner at St. Elmo’s!
We requested seating for 10. I assumed we would have 2 tables of 5, socially distanced, which would have been fine. Instead we were seated in a private dining room with no minimum food and drink requirement. Our waiter Patrick was nothing short of outstanding. Perhaps the best experience we’ve ever had at St Elmo’s. Thank you to all the staff.
Always hands down the best steakhouse in the country. Shrimp cocktail, navy bean soup and their filet mignon is worth flying 2000 miles for!
This the best steak I've had anywhere. The shrimp cocktail is a really startling starter. Definitely try it if you've never had it before although I don't know if I would order it every time.
Was really nice, food was pretty good but I think other steak houses have better quality cuts of meat. My filet had a decent amount of fat deposits within it which was strange. Mark was our server and he was really informative and quick.
OUTSTANDING all the way around... GREAT food and service...
I have been going to St. Elmo's for 40+ years and with few exceptions I have never been disappointed. The shrimp cocktail is always great, and will clear out your nose, the steaks are always great, the drinks are always a great pour. Our server, Andy, also did a great job!
A must go to experience in downtown Indianapolis. Historic restaurant awesome ambiance. Service is second to none food is excellent every time . No complaints and the shrimp cocktail is a no brained
Hands Down the best food and service ever!!! I could not ask for a more perfect night thank you St. Elmo’s for the unforgettable experience!!
