Skip this. Food was not great and overpriced. Two times we went - once for breakfast and once for dinner and BOTH times our orders were “forgotten “ to be turned in.

The pork schnitzel special was amazing! We particularly liked the braised red cabbage. We also had the beef stew which was delicious. We topped off dinner with some fabulous cocktails. We were impressed that the chef came out to talk to us about our thoughts on dinner. We highly recommend St. Bernard’s.

Very disappointing. We felt rushed and it was Valentine's day. Our server was rushed and not very attentive. He bumped into my chair twice carrying food trays. I just felt I was going to get food dropped on my white dressy sweater. We had to ask for drink refills, as they say empty for a while. Our meal was like salad and soup. It was supposed to been beef stew but it came out like the bottom of the pot broth, the Cesar salad was huge, it was big enough for two or three people, we should have been told how big it was so we could have shared it. The fireplace ambience was nice. But the room is large and open so it does get a little loud when tables are full. It's way over priced! $22 for the beef stew broth and salad's I believe were $12. The chocolate torte cake was delicious, but very small for the price we paid. Our dinner plus two cocktails each and tip came to 157. We actually paid $150 but they had added 20% tip when it was put thru as the charge.

We have a great dinner at St. Bernard’s. The food was excellent from start to finish, and the service was great. A very cozy place to eat in Solitude Village. And the are the only place in the Village that takes reservations for small groups. Our reservation saved us from having to wait for over an hour at Honeycomb Grill.

Ate there in Christmas Eve with a limited holiday menu that was fixed price $65 per person. First course was buffet style plus stale bread. Entrees were beef tenderloin, Scottish salmon and stuffed squash. Only the salmon was decent. Sides were undercooked Brussels sprouts and Yorkshire pudding that was dry and hard. Desert was chocolate torte and figgy pudding. Both were not very good. Very disappointing. Service was pleasant and ok.

Thanksgiving dinner “experience” with my dad and beautiful wife. It was buffet style in a lot of ways and yet the food was still good. The service was nice and the servers were very kind and responsive. I will try this place again without the “experience” menu in hopes to have an even better dining experience

Went for Thanksgiving dinner. Everything was good but nothing spectacular. The appetizer buffet and dessert table area was very small. Limited choices. Now the price was less than most Thanksgiving dinners so we were fine with that. Weird oddity, we were charged for cranberry sauce when we requested more than the included table spoon cups we were initially given. Significant up-charge for cranberry sauce, at a Thanksgiving dinner approaching $200 for three people. Weird. That Left a bad taste , even worse than the nasty green been casserole did.

Great lodge-like atmosphere. Quiet and relaxing. Made reservations weeks ahead of time for Christmas but had no idea that it was a prix fixe menu. Total bummer for our two kids (13 and 16). Buttered spaghetti they both ordered off the kid’s menu was subpar and about four bites each. The kitchen refused to substitute mashed potatoes for orzo, which we thought was pretty lame (mashed potatoes were on the prix fixe menu with another entree dish). The Seabass was cooked perfectly and was delicious, as was the asparagus. Mushroom soup was also outstanding. The salad was terrible- romaine lettuce was soggy and didn’t taste fresh.

I have eaten at St. Bernards three times. The first meal was fantastic. It was a lamb shank. The second meal of a duck breast was poor. It was very rare. The third meal was fried pork belly. This had lots of waste and gristle and was poor. Great service. I liked the salad buffet and the desserts.

Service was excellent, friendly and efficient staff. The salad bar etc. wasn't great with limited quantities available. Food good but small portions. Only three entrees to select from. So much better when there was a regular menu. Not worth the money. You get a better meal at the Honeycomb grill.

We have visited St. Bernard's every year when we visit Utah. We have been extremely happy with our meal, the service and the ambiance . This year when we reserved our dinner, the Website said nothing about the change in their menu and format. Usually a gourmet fair that was wonderful with many entrees and sides, they gave us three options for dinner. Chicken, Steak or Trout. (Same price mind you). The best part of the meal was the salad and the antipasto. We ordered the steak figuring the meal would still be superb. First the wait was very long. Apparently someone called in sick (the chef??) No back up to speak of. The manager assisted. The cut of meat was bad for the price and NOT tender or tasteful, it was "just there." Buffed up to look bigger with fingerling potatoes. The dessert was a choice of three items. We chose the cheesecake. It was o.k. and a nice size without any flair. Very disappointed in our meal and the change in format. The ONLY redeeming factor was our waiter who was excellent while he busted his butt serving several tables on his own. We won't be back. The least they could do is notify customers in advance of the change in the format and menu.

I cannot begin to list the problems with our breakfast this past Monday. We were eventually “greeted” by a server who told us, when I mentioned we had a reservation, “I haven’t had time to check opentable.” He then pointed us to an open table. We sat down. I waited to be offered drinks, this didn’t happen. Eventually I tried to get coffee for my husband and there were no mugs. I was then directed to a dish tray/holder on the bar which had mugs. I asked, “Are these clean?” And I was told they were. Turns out, they weren’t. I had to get coffee in the lobby. I won’t get into the production of trying to get a caffeinated hot tea. The food was ok at best. The eggs weren’t hot. The pastries tasted like they came from a box. When my husband wanted more coffee and the carafe in the restaurant was still empty, he asked the server to refill the carafe. He was then asked by the server “Is the coffee in the lobby out too?” I suppose this may have just been a really off morning, but given that there were no apologies or even acknowledgement that this may have been a supoptimal dining experience, I doubt it.

Our food was horrible, the appetizer and salad buffet barely had any food and the prime rib tasted off as if it was old. On top of that the prices are OUTRAGEOUS!! Our waitress was ok but the bartender in the Library bar was so rude she was borderline hostile. They need to go back to the full on buffet or a new chef or SOMETHING!
