Love Sqwires! Such a wonderful place for brunch, but can accommodate any event or reason.
We got seated about 15 minutes after our reservation time and only had an hour for the bottomless mimosas but it was a very nice place. The juices should be labeled because they get moved out of place and some don’t pair very well with the champagne used. The food was delicious and everyone was very kind and helped out when we needed something. I loved this place and would recommend to anyone in St. Louis!
The waiter was fantastic. He knew when to check in and when to stay back. Perfect service.
Birthday brunch for Millennial daughter. In our previous visits the Bloody Mary/Mimosa bar was fun and full of nibbles. This time there was hardly anything on it but a few olives and some cheese cubes. Very disappointing. Came back to the table with literally a plat with a scoop of horseradish and a green olive on it. Maybe it was because our reservation was for 1 pm but then don’t advertise and charge for a full drink bar.
Great as t place for breakfast and the bloody Mary's are perfect!
The food and the service were second to none! Ask for Joe!
Great food! Unfortunately the service was not very organized- had to wait 25 minutes past our reservation time to be seated.
I went for my birthday and the service was great and the food was wonderful. I had the shrimp and grits and the bloody mary. The Bloody mary bar and the mimosa bar were very nice and I will certainly come back.
Service was gre8as well as our server. His recommendations were spot on. Will visit more often.
Some of my friends and I went to Saturday Brunch. There were six of us. Most of us ordered either salmon or steak eggs Benedict and bottomless mimosas. We also ordered a biscuits and gravy as an appetizer to split. Everything was delicious, and our server, Cat, was excellent. We’ll go again! :)
Went for both brunch and dinner. Good for vegetarians and vegans. Just ok for others. Very casual. Service friendly but slow and piano too loud for brunch.
My birthday dinner. Excellent food. They had a musician performing in the room, which combined with normal conversations made the atmosphere somewhat noisy.
We had a large party but still had great service and the food was excellent! Will be back for sure !
Fantastic Brunch we will definitely be back. The steak benedicts are fantastic!
The food was good, but service was terrible. They were not busy either.
We just recently moved to St.Louis and wanted to try this place as it was close to our residence. My parents were in town, so we wanted somewhere with good food, ambience, yet still unique. SqWires was all of that and more, not to mention, our waiter was impeccable. I highly recommend the Baked Brie for an appetizer, it was excellent. Thank you, SqWires for welcoming us to STL in the best way possible, great food and a great time! Cheers!
Great food and service at Sunday brunch. Piano music was GREAT!!!!
Great “go to place” with good food, nice atmosphere, friendly service.
We did have to request some items 3 times, but they were still courteous.
Enjoyed my lunch in a great modern atmosphere, service was top notch, but food a little pricey
Bottomless mimosas with a snack bar! Good food. Good service.
This was my first foray into dinner here. Have been there many times for breakfast and lunch. A little disappointed in dinner but like the daytime ambience and service.
Our food took very long just to get the appetizer. When it arrived was not very hot. (The drinks were phenomenal!)
But the dinner again when it arrived was not very hot either. And the waiter spilled liquid from one of the plates all down my side as he quickly snatched the plate off the table. Apologetic and got a bar towel with club soda for clean up.
The food and drinks were yummy. Would definitely return.
I love this place and will continue to
introduce more friends and family to this adorable spot! The food is always great, the staff is always so attentive and of course the bottomless mimosas are truly bottomless! For a great date night, one on one or a bunch of friends getting together, this is a spot you should definitely try! You'll definitely want to come back!
Sqwires provides a wide range of services, from wedding receptions, baby showers, anniversary celebrations, and graduation parties to brunch or dinner for a couple or group. They have the facilities and staff to satisfy customers over a wide range.
Sqwires menu is very good, the food is consistently tasty and the service is excellent. I have been there many times and would recommend it to anyone.
I'm vegan and Squires has vegan and vegetarian meals, so I can always find something to eat there. There food is local, fresh, original and oh so delicious. I love the half price drinks during happy hour as well.
My husband and I waited 55 minutes after we ordered a hamburger and fish and chips for lunch, which is too much time to wait. My husbands burger was overdone. We were told there was a large group ahead of us after we waited 45 minutes. If we were told that ahead of time, we would have opted to leave and go across the street to Square One Brewery.
So everything about my Sqwires experience was good except for one thing. THE MUSIC. I don’t begrudge piano players but the reason I like sqwires is because I can actually have a conversation with the people at my table. The live music ruined that this time. If I wanted a loud atmosphere I would have gone to Wheelhouse.
Was excited to eat at a new place. Took FOREVER - an hour to get our appetizer and dinner which was wrong. The restaurant was lightly occupied but was more
Like a bar scene than a date night restaurant. Of all the food the Brie was the most edible. I hate to leave negative reviews but this was not up to par regarding quality and presentation for the prices. for the same price we could have gone to Vindeset.
can’t win them all.
A great selection with many different food choices to satisfy any taste. Pleasant environment making for an enjoyable meal.
We had a noon appointment but ultimately waited 25 minutes to be seated. We waited what felt like an hour for our food to come. It’s a shame that those delays dampened what otherwise would have been a decent brunch. The live music was great and they generously kept the Mimosas flowing.
Great atmosphere. The pork tacos were dry, however, everything else was good. Looking forward to trying brunch one weekend!
Wow!! Fantastic in every way. We went for brunch on Saturday. They had a great pianist playing. The Bloody Mary & Mimosa bar is unbelievable with anything you would want to add to your drink from fruit and olives to cheezits and Swedish fish! Lol! Our table had the veggie benedict, the tofu skillet, the breakfast burrito, the brioche french toast and a biscuit and gravy. Everything was delicious! Fresh, bright flavors attractively presented. The french toast was my favorite.....so fluffy and delicious. Highly recommended. Great service too! We will be back!
Our service provider was slow , but management was quick to pick up the tab for desert and apologize.
The restaurant was my choice for the group. We wAited an hour for our food . When it did come, it was luke warm and not very flavorful!
SqWires has so much potential to be great - the food is really good, the bar service is quick, and the atmosphere and music is truly a good experience. However, in order to actually enjoy your time at this restaurant, you have to come prepared with a very high level of patience. The service is incredibly slow. Food runners stop to chit chat among each other constantly, servers can't communicate with the host to realize when their tables are being sat, and the food takes way too long to prepare for what they're cooking.
We set a reservation at 9am for the soonest available table (which was 1:30pm), as we've showed up and waited for over an hour in the past. After being sat at 1:30, we were approached by our server 20 minutes later, after the rush had cleared out. Our food arrived 50 minutes after that, and the restaurant was empty.
As stated above, ensure you arrive with a high level of patience, and it should be a good experience
We went around 1. They were pretty busy & missing bussing staff, so it took a bit to get our table. There were a couple of
large parties & the kitchen was backed up. Since we weren’t in any rush, timing wasn’t an issue, especially since our server (Mariana, I believe) let us know at the outset that it would take a bit to get our meal & checked back periodically. The menu is a pretty typical brunch menu, with some options for.variations. The noise level was typical of most places these days, with a pleasant piano background. Our table was right by the door, which turned out to be perfect, far enough from the music and not surrounded by other tables to be quiet enough to have a conversation.
Overall it was a pleasant experience & I’d go back again.
What a fun place for a bachelorette party brunch! The Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar was such a huge hit!
Great food. Kind servers. A little slow with service
My wife and I enjoyed our dining experience at SqWire. The food was good and reasonably priced. The service was excellent. We found the renovated factory atmosphere to be unique and very pleasant. Would definitely recommend to our friends when visiting St Louis.
We had such an enjoyable lunch to celebrate Grandma's 91st birthday! The food was terrific, but Karen's service was even better! We will definitely be back!
