Wonderful meal. We ate the lamb and veal and both were perfect.
The Scratch menu was outstanding. Very tasty, beautifully presented and GREAT value. The service was outstanding with very helpful and knowledgeable wait staff.
We will definitely be back!!
We absolutely love Spring, one of the best restaurants in London in our opinion ! Amazing, incredibly fresh produce of the highest quality, incredibly attentive and friendly staff and the chocolate cake is to die for !!
Really happy I chose Spring for a client lunch - the service was very efficient, we weren't rushed, everyone loved the food and wine. Would definitely come back for business or pleasure to eat delicious seasonal food in beautiful surrounds.
The food is very nice and the staff is very friendly. I had a memorable birthday dinner. THank you.
Spring is lovely. The chef has a wonderful palate, which translates to flavors delicate and robust. We live too far away to visit Spring in the near future.
Excellent food but very disappointed by vegetarian options. I booked this for my friend who is a vegetarian and there was only one dish on the whole menu that she could eat.
I had never been to Spring before and was a little concerned, as this was an important business meeting but was going on a recommendation, that it was different but very high quality. I wasn't disappointed and neither were my guests. Spring will now be one of my top go to venues for business and social events, as it might well be for my guests.
Only in London for 24 hours to take my mother for dinner, Spring has become our new local and a traditional spot. Amazing food and wonderful location makes it very special. Thanks for a cracking night. Need one in Australia.
The food and ambiance where outstanding..
A bit expensive but it is London.
Overall, we wanted to like the restaurant. It was a little difficult to find, but no big deal.
The restaurant was very spacious on a Friday night @7, so the staff weren’t too busy. Yet there was a ton of time in between waitress checkins, until we asked for the check, then it was an instant response.
The food was good. Not worth the price, but we knew ahead of time that it was going to be expensive.
Cocktail menu was light and uninspiring.
On the plus side, the oysters were huge and delicious, big pro there.
Definitely a disappointing experience. Would not re-visit.
A very lovely restaurant for a date night, nice and quiet atmosphere.
We loved the Scratch menu: well cooked; portions not too huge; v.pleasant ambiance. Altogether delightful.
I had the set lunch menu which was v disappointing. The starter was pasta totally drenched in pesto.
My main course was oxtail, but in reality was mashed potato with a dollup of meat sause in the middle.
However, my friend had from the a la carte amd that was v good. However, if you are going to offer a set menu then I would hope that you would offer dishes you would be proud of.
The cheapest bottle of French wine (which was OK but not exceptionally) was over £40 which is clearly a rip off.
Yet another perfect meal at Spring. Very hard to beat, anywhere.
Sixth trip back to Spring, always hits the highest notes for food, wine , service and all in a wonderful space.
The space allowed quiet conversation in the. most lovely atmosphere with the most delightful service. The food of course excellent.
How incredibly disappointing!
We’d booked the 3 course 'Scratch' menu, since only having an hour spare to eat, this seemed an interesting and affordable option. However, on walking into the restaurant we were immediately struck with the stench of sewers (or drains), either way it was a bad start to a horrible experience.
Yes, the decor is lovely, the loos are very nice indeed and the staff were attentive (if a weeny bit swift serving your courses within a couple of minutes of each other - at most).
But the food.... the concept sounds wonderful, but the execution was dreadful! To be fair, we had a tasty but unattractive starter of braised cabbage with a chestnut stuffing - it was a bit oily and only just warm but otherwise pretty good. However, our main was astonishing for all the wrong reasons: a plate of huge roasted vegetables on a scattering of grains. When I say huge I mean a whole squash of some description cut in half, 2 whole unpeeled carrots and a Jerusalem artichoke (I think) literally plonked over some nonedescript grains with a lot of pickled red cabbage dumped on top! It looked exactly how I've described it and thoroughly unappetising. I mean, for heavens sake - have a bit of pride in what you do, it was awful! Dessert was a square of stale, dry cake with half a pear on the side. Upset? Yes we were, spending £45 within 30 minutes - if that. Terrible experience - should have grabbed a sandwich from the train station!
Very nice setting, tables well spaced and quiet enough to have a conversation without shouting. Not a lot of atmosphere perhaps because only two thirds full. Food was really good and service friendly and professional. But at £90 a head including half a bottle of wine I didn't think it was great value for money. £17 for 6 tortellini!
We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary at Spring but it would be wonderful for any occasion. Wonderful and creative food, helpful staff and beautiful location. Will go back next time we’re in London!
Food was stunning!
Great atmosphere, friendly stuff...couldn't ask for more really. Definitely recommend it. Thank you Spring
Your Scratch Menu is unique and super yummy.
We had a marvelous dinner with you and hope to be back.
Fabulous restaurant, I had Sunday lunch with one of my daughters and we loved it so much that I returned a week later for a mid week dinner with my husband - we will be back again soon !
very high quality and creative food..beautiful presentation....very attentive staff....
The restaurant is beautifully appointed and even with high ceilings it is quiet and doesn't echo. The food was excellent.I was eating early before the theatre and had the "scratch menu" which was excellent value and delicious. The service was very good and friendly.I would go back again when next in London.
Excellent lunch with great food and right atmosphere.
We had the set lunch. The food was delicious. However a few things were less than perfect. Service was very very slow and then too fast. We waited ages for each course and then suddenly when the deserts came ( just before 3pm from a 1pm start) the staff decided they wanted to go home, so served coffee at the same time and started disinfecting the tables around us to make us feel truely unwelcome.
Favourite London restaurant
Stunning meal in a great space. Everything was innovative and perfectly cooked. The orange wine from Slovakia that I tried was hauntingly unusual and delicious. The waitstaff read my mood and my girlfriend’s mood perfectly and were the right mix of forthcoming charm and quiet professionalism. Save room for the lemon ice cream and the chocolate cake.
While the ambiance is lovely, I was unpleasantly surprised by the lackluster service. I ordered a cocktail and the waited what seemed to be a very long time only to have the waitress come back to ask it my martini was gin or vodka, this after we had had a conversation about what brands of gin they poured. After asking if I wished to order and my reply that I wanted to enjoy my cocktail for a few minutes, she disappeared completely. This level of service continued through the evening. While the meal was lovely, the slap-dash service spoiled the evening. Front of house needs serious attention.
Third time back for scratch menu. Fabulous. The last two times Augustus our waiter was so attentive and remembered everything from a week ago. Was recommended and now we recommend it.
Our second visit here this time for pre ballet dinner. Spring has fantastic fresh food, very imaginative. Staff are very knowledgeable and discreet. We had great squid as a starter and the most tender and perfectly cooked rare beef fillet. Unfortunately no time for dessert. A real gem!
Never fail to be impressed with this restaurant. From the food to the staff everything was perfect. Back again on Monday for dinner! Can't wait.
Such a lovely restaurant! I loved trying out the amazing Scratch menu, which uses unused food which would otherwise go to waste: a lovely sustainable idea for 2019!
Particularly appreciated friendly staff and authentic advice on the menu
Such a wonderful restaurant. The food was incredible and the waiters were all super friendly and knew what they were talking about. Would go there again in a heart beat!
Very enjoyable afternoon catching up with friends. Although was expensive. +++
Super ambience great perfect service.
Holiday in London
Delicious! The food and service were both fantastic.
Ambience was lovely and the staff that greeted us were very helpful and polite, however it was disappointing when I found hair in my starter dish and also my partner, who ordered the crab starter, found crab shell in his meal.
