The Main Dining Room consists of our grand indoor dining room, as well as our ocean view patio, and provides patrons with exquisite fine dining. When available, the Spring House Hotel kitchen strives to use vegetables from our very own gardens, Many of our dish’s are created solely to utilize what we grow in our own backyard. We believe that self sustainability with organically grown herbs and vegetables is the healthiest way to cook. We strive to source all produce organically and or hormone and pesticide free if available, collaborating with Farm Fresh Rhode Island, we are able to source local farmers and purveyors throughout New England.

It was our 16th wedding anniversary. The occasion didn’t start off very good due to us having to wait and be seated 25 minutes after our reservation time. We ate at the Spring House Barn since the main dining room was closed due to it being off season. Host and bar tending staff were great. Atmosphere in the Barn was rustic and open kitchen. Very energetic and the aromas emanating from the kitchen were fantastic. Our main server appeared scattered, was in attentive and left us disappointed.. it being our wedding anniversary.

Linguine with fresh clams was very good; Pizza would have benefited from more mushrooms and cooked a few minutes less. Elderflower cocktail was unusual and tasty!

Service was polite but mostly inattentive, though the atmosphere was very nice and food was consistent and tasty. Mixed drinks were well done as well and delicious.

You can't beat the bird's eye view from the porch of Spring House Hotel - wait, yes you can. The food and service was terrific. We enjoyed the linguine with plentiful and outstanding clams and the burger with truffle fries hit the spot after a day of hiking the island. We enjoyed every minute and every bite!

The Spring House is an annual tradition on our vacation. We came over for the day and knew we needed to bring our friends for her birthday celebration.

The restaurant was very busy on a Wednesday night, but we made a reservation and so we were seated immediately. Our waitress was an experienced one and was able to dote on us a good deal. She was personable and knowledgable about the fare. We ordered several dishes - scallops and Chicken. Both were prepared and presented very well and were scrumptious. No doubt we will come back to the Spring House.

We've been many years in a row and had good experiences. This time our server was cold and surly. She actually didn't remove an extra place setting and chair at a round table ( we had to ask a different server). She offered my son NO vegetarian option and told my husband there was no draft beer ( as the table next to us was served draft). The filet mignon was overcooked which could be overlooked if the service was nice. My daughter forgot her sweater. We went back twice the next day asking them to look for it. No luck. What kind of restaurant does that?

Arrived early for our reservation and was graciously seated at a great table on the porch with amazing views....which are certainly in demand. Food was very good in quality, not outstanding or " blow your socks off", and priced quite high. $25 -$32 for almost all entrees with modest portions. Miss the classic sauces. Prices have risen and quality is about the same in past few years.

Spent Block Island 4th of July here. It was amazing and we live only a ferry boat ride away. Believe me we will visit at least once a year from here on.

Came back to Block Island to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We had our wedding at the Spring House in 2002, and we couldn't think of a better place to celebrate. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the setting was picture-perfect. Our server, Sierra, was delightful, and even made us a little origami crane as a keepsake that read "Happy 15th Anniversary!" We loved every moment of it and can't wait to come back again.

I love Sprint my House- it's preservation and view are of the highest caliber. The hotel aspect is amazing! Sadly, I cannot say the same for the drink or cuisine quality. The staff are friendly and caring- so come, stay but eat elsewhere.

The Spring House occupies one of the most beautiful spots on Block Island. They offer dining in several spaces, both indoors and out. We dined on the outside terrace and it was lovely. The service was excellent, even though there were some large parties nearby. The food was delicious -- wonderfully fresh seafood. Their wine list leans toward the high end, but a nice feature they offer is several half bottles, which we took advantage of. We had a lovely dinner. The only downside was that we returned home to an email "cancelling" our reservation and thereby not crediting my dining points, but I emailed Open Table and it was quickly rectified. We will definitely return on our next trip to Block Island.
