Made a dinner reservation based on a rave review from a friend who had been there 10 years ago. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful dinner experience. Excellent food – – he ordered the lamb shank which was recommended by our server, said it was the best he’d ever had; I had the pasta with shrimp and asparagus in lobster cream sauce,, which was light and delicious – – and excellent service. We shared an appetizer, each had an entrée, and shared dessert. With one alcoholic beverage the bill with tip was under $100.The restaurant is lovely in an unpretentious way and offers a stunning view of Zion cliffs. Highly recommended.

Last night in Zion NP
Our server, Anna, was a delight - very personable and well informed about the menu.
Loved sitting on the back patio with such a beautiful view!
Brie appetizer and lemon cake dessert were my favorites!!!

Ambiance is very nice. However, the food was a let down.
The couple sitting next to us ordered the Halibut special and they were disappointed and advised me not to order it. So, I changed my order to a menu item - the Salmon. My husband had a steak. We also shared the crab cakes as an appetizer. The salmon was overcooked and the accompanying sides were also. The crab cakes were mostly breading which seemed to be a corn bread. Never had a corn bread crab cake. My husbands steak was decent. The wine list is very overpriced. We ordered a bottle of Turley which we were familiar with which was good.
Overall the restaurant was a disappointment.

Had a reservation 3 months in advance. When we arrived we were told there are no reservations for outdoor seating. The server was extremely non-chalant and not particularly interested in her job. Ordered the Seared Ahi special which the server recommended. My wife's food was extremely bland and mine was was horrible. The fish was coated in a super salty seasoning and wasn't blackened at all. We decided to find another place to eat. The manager did apologize and comped us our drinks.

Such an enjoyable way to end our Zion vacation. Food was excellent and the service was as well. Lamb shank and filet mignon were superb and the artichoke appetizer was a fun way to begin.

Great location with in door and outdoor seating. Very nice pepitas crusted red trout. Excellent service after being seated by a grouchy hostess. We’re on vacation, be friendly to the tourists!

He food was great!!! Artichoke special was delicious!!! Wine suggestion was also good. We got the lamb shank, salmon, trout and shrimp and asparagus pasta. All were very good but the lamb and trout were the standouts! We split two desserts... creme brulee and a chocolate cake with ice cream. Both were phenomenal!!!! I give this establishment very high marks!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at The Spotted Dog! Food was quite good. The chef prepared a dish for me without garlic. I really appreciate it when a restaurant does that!

While visiting Zion National Park for a few days, we stayed at Flanigan's Lodge. I think the restaurant is owned by the same people. We had breakfast at the Spotted Dog every morning. I typically do not like buffets, but the food was fresh and delish. Also had dinner there one night which was spectacular. Great service, food and unbeatable location.

Wine list is really good, especially given its remote location. Service was great. Smoked trout, salad & duck were delicious. Only suggestion would be to offer maybe a rice w/the duck vs fingerling potatoes?

Salad, main courses and deserts are super yummy. The service is also good, especially the waiter delivered the flat bread and took our desert order. Price is reasonable for the quality.

We had made reservations-glad we did as town crowded. Given the option eating outdoors with views of sunset and peaks. Attentive service. Extensive wine offerings. Had brie/topped orange marmalade and Granny Smith apples. Scrumptious. Pasta bundles/pear/toasted almond. Finished with lemon chiffon cake.

I love Springdale snd my favorite restaurent is the Spotted Dog. Their food is unique and healthy with many great selections. After a day of enjoying the beauty of Zion, this is the place to eat and recharge. zi love tgrir crab cakes, some of the best O have eaten. 1 of their specials was Ahi tuna with risotto cake. It was wonderful, a nice size portion. Their desserts are fantastic, the perfect ending to their food. When visiting Zion Natl Park you must eat here!
