   We got the steak frites and the braised short rib, the steak was overdone and with almost no seasoning, just butter, the braised short rib was extremely dry and the rice accompanying the short rib was still crunchy. We also ordered a side of fries to split but were charged as an appetizer instead of the side. The drinks were great and the waitress was very kind, likely would have adjusted the bill had we asked. For these prices we recommend going elsewhere.

   Food was mediocre at best. The website was misleading; this is a hotel restaurant with meals that you'd see at a low grade wedding in the 2000s. I would not recommend. Even the drinks were just ok.

   We were the first guests for the evening at 5:30. When taking our drink order, we requested a bottle of wine on the menu. The server returned telling us it wasn't chilled and asked for our second choice. Once we said what we wanted, the server returned to the table saying that bottle was out of stock. We asked for a list of wine they had on hand. She left the table and was gone for over 10 minutes. There was only one other table with guests while we had been seated for over 20 minutes with no wine service. We left. No one should have to wait for 20-25 minutes without being served.

   This was my first visit. Small menu but good selection. The food was tasty. The drinks were great. I had a fresh, house-made sangria. Our waiter was personable and attentive but did not provide the quality of service I would expect in this type of restaurant. He could benefit from some guidance and training and he would be fantastic. I will go back.

   food is amazing and priced very well for not only the portion size but the quality as well! service was awesome, and the place is so cute on the inside! wish i would have caught our waitress’ name to give her a shoutout! not loud or quiet, not too many people, overall great experience.

    0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The food was genuinely terrible. Obnoxiously salty, did not feel fresh (meat was chewy), and low quality (clearly instant mashed potatoes). We complained and had the entire meal comped, but had we known it was going to be free my wife and I would not have eaten it. Stomachs hurt afterwards. If someone told me the next meal would be free to, I’d say “thanks but no thanks… and go anywhere else.” We were there for an early dinner, there were only 4 or 5 other tables taken. They have no excuses for this extremely poor performance. For a supposed to be higher end restaurant. This was an extreme disappointment. I’d rather spent our anniversary at a McDonalds.

    We were very disappointed. One server was working the entire restaurant. It wasn't real busy, maybe 4 tables on a Wednesday night. Took 30 minutes to get our drinks. Looked like a manager was sitting in the back just watching everything, but didn't do anything? Location is great, right next to St. Elmos steak house, but you got to step it up or you're out.

    The service was pretty terrible, as was the food. They seemed pretty short staffed, which may have contributed to our experience. Our overall dining experience was close to 3 hrs and not by choice just to put things in perspective.

    Heather was a great server. Food was exceptional. Little lite on the lamp Popsicles and the steak although cooked perfect was very peppery. Overall great place and ambience. Pricey but very good.

    Waited over 5 min to be greeted after being seated, The first drink I had was very good. A second of the same beverage was not as flavorful. We had to ask for our check. Our server was the bartender; she was too busy cleaning up the bar which prompted asking for the check. I’m not sure I would return for another visit.

    Exceptionally slow service. Took close to 15 minutes for a server to approach our table despite it being relatively empty in the restaurant. Food came out cold. Seemed like they were having a rough night. Not sure I would give it another shot.

    Unfortunately a bit disappointed. The burger was pretty good along with the fries, but I wouldn’t describe the prices of $19 being worth it. My wife’s meal was incredibly boring and bland. It was a sort of a shepherds pie concoction layered on mashed potatoes. We could have made the same meal at home 10x better and a fraction of the price. Service was average at best given there was barely anyone there. This was our first time and it’s not worth giving it another try.

    Our dinner was pre-game Pacers NBA and we were out-of-Townes routing for the away team. We met 2 other tables near us also attending, one table rooting for each side. We shared a decent volume level lively conversation and the waitress seemed to enjoy it. She was very attentive and made sure we all got to the game on time even though we arrived late due to traffic , they gladly accepted us late for our reservation and pushed things along catching us up to our newly made friends . Very enjoyable dinner, good food, great service and an amazing atmosphere.

    Visited Spoke and Steele before a Colts Monday Night Football game for the first time. Restaurant was clearly short staffed and struggling to keep up with a 1/2 - 3/4 full dining area. Staff was friendly but unable to provide attentive service. Food was of average quality but not in line with the price point even considering the premium location of the restaurant. Disappointed that Le Méridien is not able to operate a higher quality restaurant in downtown Indianapolis.
