   The service was pretty terrible, as was the food. They seemed pretty short staffed, which may have contributed to our experience. Our overall dining experience was close to 3 hrs and not by choice just to put things in perspective.

   Heather was a great server. Food was exceptional. Little lite on the lamp Popsicles and the steak although cooked perfect was very peppery. Overall great place and ambience. Pricey but very good.

   Waited over 5 min to be greeted after being seated, The first drink I had was very good. A second of the same beverage was not as flavorful. We had to ask for our check. Our server was the bartender; she was too busy cleaning up the bar which prompted asking for the check. I’m not sure I would return for another visit.

   Exceptionally slow service. Took close to 15 minutes for a server to approach our table despite it being relatively empty in the restaurant. Food came out cold. Seemed like they were having a rough night. Not sure I would give it another shot.

    Unfortunately a bit disappointed. The burger was pretty good along with the fries, but I wouldn’t describe the prices of $19 being worth it. My wife’s meal was incredibly boring and bland. It was a sort of a shepherds pie concoction layered on mashed potatoes. We could have made the same meal at home 10x better and a fraction of the price. Service was average at best given there was barely anyone there. This was our first time and it’s not worth giving it another try.

    Our dinner was pre-game Pacers NBA and we were out-of-Townes routing for the away team. We met 2 other tables near us also attending, one table rooting for each side. We shared a decent volume level lively conversation and the waitress seemed to enjoy it. She was very attentive and made sure we all got to the game on time even though we arrived late due to traffic , they gladly accepted us late for our reservation and pushed things along catching us up to our newly made friends . Very enjoyable dinner, good food, great service and an amazing atmosphere.

    Service and food were not good. Plenty of staff out front but they were all complaining to one another and not helping each other out. Food took forever and wasn’t very good. Will not return

    I was disappointed in the scant menu. A few menu items were not available due to supply issues, but maybe a few other offerings could be available in these cases. My previous experiences were much better. Not sure I will revisit.

    Visited Spoke and Steele before a Colts Monday Night Football game for the first time. Restaurant was clearly short staffed and struggling to keep up with a 1/2 - 3/4 full dining area. Staff was friendly but unable to provide attentive service. Food was of average quality but not in line with the price point even considering the premium location of the restaurant. Disappointed that Le Méridien is not able to operate a higher quality restaurant in downtown Indianapolis.

    Pretty decent spot. Service was kind of slow given it was a Monday night and only an few other tables in the restaurant. But the waiter was very friendly and accommodating food was tasty as well prepared.

    Ate breakfast here before a Colts game. Very nice place. Was seated quickly and the server greeted us quickly once sat down. Food was really good. Would definitely eat here again.

    I took my groomsmen here for brunch before my wedding, and we all really enjoyed our experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and personable. Most people ordered the biscuits and gravy; I had the ribeye hash. Everyone loved their food. Our only (and very minor) issue was the size and quality of the brunch cocktails. Both the bloody marry and mimosas were smaller than I would have expected at a similar restaurant, and the bloody marry in particular was very sweet and lacked flavor. I would definitely go back, and maybe just pass on the brunch drinks.

    The restaurant itself has a great vibe and feel. I ordered a martini and set out to peruse the menu which certainly had piqued my interest. The martini was fantastic but little did I know that was going to be the highlight of my evening. After delivering my cocktail, the server didn't return and no one checked in to see if I needed anything or would have liked to order an appetizer. After 30-40 minutes, I flagged down a server from another section and figured at this rate, I better order my entree/side. She graciously took my order and the food did arrive in a timely manner. The lamb chops were not overcooked, thankfully, but were overwhelmed by a profligate amount of pesto. Not to be outdone, the mushroom scampi was bereft of garlic and only tasted of salt. Now, I do like salt but I could barely get these down. So in sum, great ambiance, interesting menu - poor execution both in the food preparation and in service. This restaurant is in a great location and on Pacer nights has access to approximately 14,000 attendees. And as it was on this Friday night, very few were in the restaurant whether ticketholders or not. Most pedestrians just walked by. Maybe they know. #TryHarder

    Spoke & Steele was a great place for a dinner to welcome friends to Indianapolis after they just moved here. The vibe was chill but profesh, the service was great, and the food was amazing. I'd definitely recommend Spoke & Steele to anyone who's interested in a higher-end (but not crazy expensive) dinner place. (I've been there for brunch, too, and that's also a win.)

    This should be on James beard nomination committee. Chef excellent. We were going to return again the very next night but it was closed. We’re from out of town and had just been to several award winning restaurants back east and S&S ranked near the top. Wonderful✔️

    The restaurant is nice and clean and the food did taste good. The service was less than what was expected. We had a reservation and stood in the waiting area for over 20 minutes, until we spoke to someone to say “will we ever get seated?” For the Lady to say oh I’m sorry I thought you was waiting on somebody. Never once asked if we had a reservation. The service was slow and we never even got one refill. When it was time to pay the server took off with our money was gone for 10 minutes to come back start clearing off our table and said I’ll be back with your check. He forgot we already paid. Foods is good but service is bad.

    Spoke and Steel is beyond delicious and a spot that has fabulous cocktails alongside healthy artisan options. I was extremely impressed with the food and our waitress, Heather, was so great at recommending various food/cocktail options. The staff was so sweet to provide us with a delicious dessert for our anniversary which was very special for us.

    Took 8 people here to celebrate our daughter’s engagement. Great cocktails. Various members of our party had the lamb chops, steak and salmon. All were good, with the lamb chop being the best! We ordered one of each dessert for the table to share. All were delicious—the pistachio gelato and the key lime cakelet were the favorites. Our server was attentive and pleasant.

    I arrived about 15 minutes late due to an event traffic and they were still able to accommodate my reservations. I did leave a note letting the staff know this was for an anniversary. There was no recognition of that. We had a good server who was attentive as possible. We got our food about an hour after we put it. I had to ask a server to check on our food after two tables with at least 3 people got their food who got there 15 minutes after us. The server gave us a shot for our wait. My guest got blueberry pancakes and I got the shrimp and grits. The blueberry pancakes were really good. The shrimp and grits were very bland. It was spicy which I like but there was no flavor. I ended up switching my food out for the S&S which was eggs, bacon, and potatoes. I think it was decent and I was content with it. The manager came in to the restaurant and asked the server how we were doing. The server said she gave us free shots and we were good. I would have been more comfortable with the situation if the manager asked us directly how we were doing. Overall I would go back for drinks but not for food.
