Although food is good and the view might be great for some people, wine list and wine service are not good.
There are better options for the same price.
Good service with server exhibiting great guest engagement.
We celebrated out anniversary, the staff & food were amazing.
The place is absolutely amazing! The views are like none other and the service is exquisite. When you visit GET THE CURED DUCK it’s life changing! The shrimp and grits are life altering experiences.
The food is excellent. The waitstaff is prompt and courteous and the view of downtown is fantastic. It’s a great place to go for a special occasion. You won’t be disappointed.
Had a great anniversary dinner. Best view in Houston hands down, and the food was out of this world!
Everything was perfect. Only problem was a screaming 8 year old & time out type parents. When you you pay $200 for a special night out you should expect a fine dinning establishment to control unruly behavior.
Amazing view. Quiet, romantic and intimate dinner. We had the pork belly appetizer, pork shank and ribeye. Food was excellent and cooked to perfection. Service was great, they check on us constantly and also had us cut the steak to make sure it was cooked exactly how we ordered
It is a bit overpriced for the menu they have. 35$ for a raviolli seems to be too much, it was ok, nothing special in terms of flavor. Also, no decor in on the tables, and ambient light is too strong and sometimes makes it hard to spot the view outside. They open late so you can enjoy the sunset only during the summer.
Steak was drowned in steak sauce, I didn’t enjoy it. The appetizer was unappealing to me. I honestly felt like I wasted money. Rather than get my money’s worth.
Everything was great. The people were nice. The setting was beautiful.
I love it, it’s was perfect
Nice restaurant great view I would definitely go again and recommend this place to friends and family
I had to return the soup twice for it being lukewarm at best. The plate was hot but the soup was near room temperature. The manager finally came out to the table and he delivered the 3rd bowl of soup which was hot. My husband had the potato soup and I had the seafood soup. Both had to be returned twice. The waiter Joe was not that good; seemed to be new. Mario, who had waited on us before, gave the service we expected from this establishment. The chicken confit lacked taste and the quinoa has an odd taste to it. My husband ended up sharing my surf and turf which tasted good. For $90 a person, this clearly did not meet our expectations. Zero concessions were made for the poor dining experience we had. Our bill is as full rate. We have no plans to return to Spindletop. We went to our hotel room at the Hyatt and ordered room service. This was not the New Years Eve dining experience we had in mind.
Ambience is pretty good. I had pork shank, I didn’t like it.
My wife and I been there for our anniversary and we experienced great food, services and atmosphere. Beside all that nice 360 view of downtown Houston. We will back again for another event.
It’s a good place but overpriced for the short menu that they have.
First time and had always wanted to go since I was a kid. Worth the trip.
A very chic and upscale restaurant with a wonderful view of the city. The food was prepared and served in a timely manner as well as very delicious. The wait staff was a little slow but it was a busy evening. Walking space is expectedly sparse but understandable.
Horrible food. Overpriced to the extreme. If you go, only do a drink, check out the view and leave. Not worth the time or money otherwise. The carpet and overall decor was dated. Limited food menu and drink menu. Dessert menu was laughable and the two desserts we ordered we didn’t even finish they were so bad.
I will definitely come back every thing was beyond great
Excellent dinning. There are certain elevators that will take you to the floor, make sure you press the Spindle Top button.
I'm not sure what happen But the pork shank had a wild taste to it ...
Great place for a romantic time
The menu was small. Nothing i really wanted tried ribeye and it was in a sauce. Good steaks ddont need that
She had seafood mix.. it was good, but over priced. Romantic ambience was great.
The value of money was good, but the food was not up to expectation. I recommend a lot of food options on the menu.
Not a lot to choose from when it comes to food. Drinks were good. Wait staff was dress to casual for it being priced at a high price. Expected better, it was just ok.
Our waitress was amazingly helpful with food selection and even took our pictures!!
Came here for my boyfriends birthday. We arrived at our scheduled time for our reservation, no one in front of us and the restaurant had just opened 15 minutes prior; we still had to wait about 10 minutes before we were seated.
We had ordered the veggie wraps and were informed that the restaurant had been out of them for several months. Considering the small menu it would be better to either remove said item or replace with another alternative.
When people are there for a birthday it would be nice if the wait staff offered to take a picture of the occasion.
Overall the food was good and the service was friendly just missing a few components to bring it up a notch.
Nice atmosphere, quiet, food was nice, waiter was very attentive.
Food was amazing!!!
😊😊😊😊🎂🎂🎂🎂😉😉😉😉😉😉 .
We booked Spindletop for the 3rd year in a row to celebrate my daughter's birthday. This tradition is one she looks forward to each year and we were extremely disappointed. While I noted on my res that we were celebrating her 10th birthday, it was not until we were seated and reviewed the menu that we realized there was nothing at all kid friendly. I am not talking chicken nuggets, I would have been more than happy to pull items from the menu to make her a meal but the chef was not at all flexible. This shocked me as we were in NYC last week and we dined as multiple restaurants without a children's menu and at each of them we were easily able to find items my girls would eat such as simple pasta, a petite filet, chicken breast, vegetables, etc. The chef noted he changed the menu 3 weeks ago and was very blunt that it was intended NOT to be kid friendly. I found this extremely odd given this is a revolving restaurant and the only time we have ever dined there is with our children as they find it fascinating as I assume many kids would. There now seems to be a significant disconnect between the chef's concept of fine dining for adults and his location, a revolving restaurant, which is too bad. We left after speaking to the chef and will not be back. This put a huge damper on my daughter's birthday as she had looked forward to dining at Spindletop for her big day. I hope the chef will realize that his location attracts palates of all ages and to limit his menu to adults is very much flawed.
Romantic dinner for 2
What a remarkable experience for date night. The ambiance was undeniable. The bottle service was impeccable
Spindletop was great. Great food and the service was great all around. Also the view was incredible!
Bad service, decent food, and limited menu
We went on Thanksgiving to enjoy the view, and really had a great time!. Food was excellent. Had the Turkey dinner which was wonderful. Will go again especially with out of town visitors.
