It wasn’t worth the money .Very poor view and cold air was coming inside from cracks in the window.
Awful. Overpriced, terrible service, terrible food. We had to walk out after it took a full 45 minute revolution to get appetizers. Everything costs double what it should here as they cater to “special occasions” to which everyone asks to what special occasion are you celebrating. Food is awful. Had several others FaceTiming at nearby tables the entire revolution and a half we were there. Didn’t stick around for the entree to arrive. Stay away. Chili’s is a better spot to celebrate your anniversary.
The food was to greasy, and all that grease killed the taste of the seafood we ordered
Ms. Lois is THE absolute best!!! She definitely made the dining experience better!!!! She’s such a gem!
The staff was phenomenal. They were always on top of tending to us quickly and we're so friendly and polite. Our food was delicious and the view was awesome! It was a great place to go for our anniversary.
Great experience I really love this place and I will come back
My boyfriend and I went for his 21st birthday. The scenery was amazing and the atmosphere was romantic. As far as the food, we really enjoyed it. We got the local cheese and specialty meat appetizer and the shrimp and lobster ravioli for our entree. I thought the appetizer would be a little more elaborate considering what we paid for, but overall the quality was nice. The price was, well, pricey, but we didn't expect any less. Just a tip though, don't ask to split a dish. We got charged for that without knowing.
Awesome view was awesome n service was. Awesome
overall i like the ambience and the views overlooking downtown area, but unfortunately because it is rotating I felt a little bit dizzy after we eat.. Lol! But Wonderful experience though
The food wasn’t that great and the service sucked
Food was not good at all... OVER RATED & over priced.
Let’s keep it simple.
The view and ambience, service; excellent.
The food and prices; not that great.
We enjoyed the quiet romantic ambience, the food was delicious but very pricey. We loved the creme brulee and the peach lemonade. We were seated promptly and with courtesy. The bad things are, it is surrounded now by skyscrapers on about 60% of its rotation so you do not even see the sunset. The restroom is accessed by walking a flight of stairs. Overall for a once in a life time experience it is worth it.
I wrote in the notes it was Klaos’s birthday. They asked what the occasion was when we got there and asked if we were celebrating anything special. Wanted the dessert to be a surprise.
Was so romantic setting
Very good service.
Was surprised that even st 9 pm there was a wait just goes to show your a Houston fav . Truly our waitress was what made the dining experience exceptional. She was perfect . I want her always ! Really enjoyed myself and my guest did also
Spindletop is a neat concept, but has the feel of a tourist-trap, complete with pricey food, difficult reservations, rushing staff. View is great, food was decent, but it wasn't a place I wanted to stay and have a good time, and would not go back. Although a few other tables were certainly enjoying it. Likely a good place for a birthday, maybe a first date.
This place is outdated needs a remodel ASAP.The restaurant it’s in a very good place but needs to be modernized.
The experience is very nice however the waiter that we had did not have any type of customer service especially for the amount of money that we paid.
We came for our two year anniversary. We were both in awe of the view, service and food. We will definitely be back soon! Thank you again!
Food was great. View was great. Service was exceptional!! Will be back and have already told others.
this place was amazing! so happen, i got engaged that night and the waitress was in on it with my fiancé lol. the spicy shrimp and lobster ravioli is to die for! the raspberry lemon drop cocktail was superb! i will be back!!
We've always seated next to windows in moving restaurants-this was our first visit to this one-they sat us in the upper section not next to the window. Not sure if this was the reason, but I began to feel dizzy. The chicken's skin was blackened....it made it taste delicious! Made me feel better :).
Our waiter was very nice. One thing, no Sweet and Low :(
The quality and taste of the food was subpar for the price. I could not believe that a wine and alcohol tax was added to my bill. We ordered 3 drinks and the wine and alcohol tax was $36 in addition to the cost of the drinks. I will not go back.
I’m sorry but I’d like to be honest and it doesn’t complete with the tower of America’s in San Antonio. Was quite disappointed in the food and for the price I expected a little better quality since I paid 200 dollars at spindletop and I paid 160 at the tower of America’s. Thank you for your time
Made reservations for my husbands 40th and I left disappointed. We ordered drinks, appetizer, dinner, and desert. If you want a beautiful view it’s definitely nice but other than that I would not recommend.
Really enjoyed our night, staff were super friendly, food very good. The view is ok, a lot of buildings around half of the revolution.
Spindletop was amazing! The staff were incredibly hospitable, polite, and informative. They seemed to really supportone anotherto ensure that patrons have a great dining experience. You will enjoy it!
Love the atmosphere and the waiter was excellent . My fiancé really enjoyed her birthday dinner and experience there... Thank you guys so much
Went For Me And My Girlfriends anniversary and the food was amazing. Try the spicy lobster raviolis I recommend it. Really nice place to go with your loved one on your anniversary.
It’s always fun to dine in a rotating restaurant. The food was good...not great. The service was very good and the view was amazing. You are paying for the view so you understand that not everything else needs to be the best....just good. I recommend but not overly enthusiastically.
The steak was over cooked and dry. The read for Mac n cheese was good but not plentiful for the price. The rack of lamb was good but the potatoes and green beans were cold and tastes old. Over all I won't be returning. Spindletop is over rated. Too expensive for cafeteria quality food. I should have just went to Perry's steakhouse.
The qwentaty of the food is too small , the rice wasn't cooked will .
Even though I gave an overall 5 stars, there is one point of contention that I have that I believe would make Spindletop even better. They need to not have such a seafood-centric menu. I know this may be what they have been all about for a long time, and I know they advertise it as a seafood restaurant, but I think it's time for a change. I would like to see a menu with less than 50% seafood.
Other than that, this restaurant may be the best kept secret in Houston.
When we were seated, we were asked if we were celebrating anything special - a nice touch as most restaurant servers initially as for a bar order. Although the selection is very limited, we did enjoy some of the offerings. The tomato chowder was fair, but the romaine salad was unique and very tasty. We chose the seafood pot for one (the only entree not subject to the $9 plate sharing charge). It was fantastic, and the portion was extremely generous; we couldn't finish it. Spicy and wonderful. Since we were celebrating my birthday, I was presented with a small cupcake with candle after the meal. A nice touch. Service was mediocre at best. No fresh pepper was offered, and no shakers were on the table. I had to get up to find someone to bring me pepper. All in all, it was a nice experience, and we certainly would return if we are ever in Houston again. A more extensive menu would be appreciated.
The view is of course outstanding. Ambiance wonderful. Very nice. The food, however, was overpriced and average at best. Drinks were good!
Everything was great! It's a nice place with a beautiful 360°view of Houston and very testy food 😋
Very poor customer service, trash.
