   First, the food: bread was good and the garlic butter it came with for spreading was awesome. Smoked old fashioned for our drinks didn’t seem all that with the very woody taste, but the buzz kicked in pretty quick. Pasta dish (rigatoni bolognese) was delicious. Added jumbo shrimp to the salad; they were on the saltier side. As far as the atmosphere goes, we were there at 9:15 on a Saturday night and the place was dead, which we liked very much (nice and quiet). Our waitress started and ended very attentive, but never came back to check on us once our food was delivered. She actually didn’t come back until we were all done eating and we’re just sitting in front of our plates for about five minutes, so we don’t know what happened there. The price was fair; $95 (tax included) for 1 pasta dish, 1 entree salad, added jumbo shrimp, and 2 bar drinks. There are some weird fee of around $2.50 added to the bill (we paid cash) which we weren’t sure what that was for, but I wasn’t going to wait 10 minutes to ask our waitress to find out. Overall, would recommend.

   Kyleigh, our waitress was a peach!! Attentive and pleasant. 8oz filet melt in your mouth and the shrimp fra diavolo was just as the name says!

   The entire family had a wonderful time! Apps and meals were delicious! The Pistachio Martini was yummy! Our waiter,Jordan, was GREAT! We’ll be back!

   This is a definite 4.5 restaurant—I was unable to lean towards 5 instead of 4 over all as the value wasn’t quite there for me… it was a little pricey for what it was, and I try to adjust for inflation and the fact that the restaurant business is indeed tough to make a buck in. The food quality over all—in terms of ingredients and preparation was very solid. 7-8 out of 10 for most items (the clam sauces were great, the cannoli average—the veal parmigiana solid—prototypical red sauce with average penne but nicely done cutlets (if you like a crisp panko-esque fry), the garlic bread—good idea with the roasted garlic but the actual bread could have been a notch better.) Everyone enjoyed their meals. Also important was the service—very attentive and friendly, which is key. Also key for me was there was a solid wine list and competent bartender who made a mean Maker’s Manhattan with Antica Formula—they had a nicely stocked selection with a range that included some quality liquors if you want them and an above average beer list. The ambience was nice as the noise level was moderate and the surroundings were contemporary with high ceilings and decent spacing between tables. In a geographical location that boasts of dozens of Italian restaurants, many of them that might rightly claim to have terrific food, this restaurant stands out for their liquor license and service. I intend to visit again, though it might be a more special occasion place rather than my weekly jaunt.

    I was really looking forward to returning because the food and ambiance had been wonderful on my previous visits. What I was looking forward to most was the lollipop lamp chops appetizer. Our waiter seemed inexperienced, which was not what I had encountered previously. Our lamb arrived first, and very overcooked. While he offered to take it back to the kitchen, I couldn't bear to waste such an expensive food. It was ruined. I asked for medium rare and it was almost well done/dry. I asked Sal how it was that our oysters had not arrived prior to the lamb, and his response was a shrug, saying, "I put in all the appetizers at once." Then while still struggling with the ruined lamb, our oysters arrived. They were fresh and meaty enough and well prepared. They were yummy. If you've been there, you know the bread is exceptional, with roasted garlic. My Belvedere Martini was perfect. The Italian Beer he ordered came in the smallest bottles I've seen at a restaurant. 11 oz? My other half ordered assorted seafood over pasta, and there was a majority of mussels, I'm guessing to cut the expense of the dish to the restaurant. But all of it was well prepared and he enjoyed it. My Seafood Risotto was excellent, sporting two wonderful lobster claws, and a few large shrimp, properly prepared with no tails to be removed. I knew I would take most of it home, and just enjoyed my leftovers, carefully warmed up. We had no room for dessert, so we didn't order any. But they knew it was our anniversary, and kindly delivered two complementary small canolli. I was delighted, as one who makes them myself, to find that they were not overly sweet like most out there. And even had a flavor other than sugar. Overall, we had a lovely evening, despite Sal's mistakes (including informing us that he had to share his tips with the bellboys, which we all know, anyway). Sal could barely be understood. (Put a marble in your mouth and practice elocution, Sal.) The manager was attentive.
