Was visiting Portland last week and made a reservation at South Park Seafood. Had an excellent meal - 5 kinds of West Coast oysters followed by a delicious piece of Ahi Tuna prepared perfectly. Also, an interesting and approachable wine list. Great service, casual ambiance. Overall a great spot and the oyster selection is top notch!

Though it's not one of the Sexy New Kids on the restaurant block, South Park delivers in the way that a decent restaurant should, no matter the age: Solid, intentional menu executed cleanly; Service that's just attentive enough; And a recently-remodeled venue that seems to keep up with the Park Blocks trendy vibe, without screaming for "look at me" attention.

Food very good except for too much dressing on the green salad. Good selection of fresh seafood. Excellent service and relatively quiet at lunch.

Great food and great service. But the seating was horrible and cramped with extra tables. I guess it was more important for the restaurant to capitalize on Valentine’s Day. I would have paid more to not have to hear my dining neighbors conversation and worry my server’s backside was going to touch my plate.

Friendly host and waiter. Great food, including the vegetable sides. The Brussels sprouts are addictive. Would definitely recommend it for a nice dinner or business dinner.

Seafood choices seemed limited. Serving Icelandic Salmon in Oregon just seems weird. No halibut on the menu. I ordered the whole crab warm and it seemed dry to me, perhaps I should have ordered it cold. Ceaser salad was totally bland, couldn’t taste any garlic or anchovy. Chowder was excellent and the steamed clams were good, fried oysters were small and not as flavorful as expected.

Outstanding. Very high ceilings made conversatoins easy even though it was packed inside. Food excellent.

My girlfriend and I went to southpark seafood when visiting Portland for date dinner. Dining area is sleek, modern and open. We ordered the cold seafood platter to share. The food was fresh and well presented, but nothing really special in terms of taste. Bread was quite good and our oyster selection was decent. Service was fair, however they were very eager to clear our table several times before we finished. They also took over 10 minutes to return my credit card and receipt after paying. Overall, mildly disappointing dining experience. With so many great restaurant choices in portland, I doubt we will be back at southpark seafood.

Love the new menu— so many options and all prepared so well—Exception is Caesar salad- vey bland dressing-tasted bottled. it used to be an outstanding salad at Southpark.
