Very good food, cocktails and a staff that made us feel very safe with Covid-19!
Quality is the Key! Thanks Southpark Seafood!
We will be back and hopefully all the weirdness of the times will be over!
We felt very safe and cared for when dining (inside) at Southpark. Everything and everyone was GREAT! We will be back- thank you Southpark!
Excellent menu and food. Service was personalized. Nice wine list.
Great food and service!
The Chef really knows what he's doing! The Salmon was so fresh, and the flavors of the bowl were perfectly balanced! I was so full, but couldn't stop eating it was so good!
Food and service always great here. A nice outdoor dining option!
We had a very good outdoor dining experience at Southpark. The food was excellent as always, and it was nice to be back.
Always fabulous, so happy they're open for lunch in the CV19 era. Super-safe, and still the same great food.
Totally comfortable. Clean table ready when I arrived (early), and prompt, attentive servers. We had yummy oysters, Brussels Sprouts and Fresh Focaccia with our Bubbly... super fresh, super delicious, super atmosphere.
We’re coming back!!!
The drinks were amazing and the food was even better!
Our experience was really disappointing. From the start— they were understaffed and were very overwhelmed which we were understanding of. But everybody we came into contact with was very short and rude besides the food runner. Everybody seemed annoyed with the customers. We ordered our appetizers the brussel sprouts and poke. Both unflavorful and just not very good. But we still ate them and hoped the best for our entrees, didn’t wanna be adding onto the stress and made a big deal from the appetizers because they were edible just not good. Then the entrees came out about 35 min after our first course and we took a bite of both of them and just couldn’t do it. The chippino tasted like chef boyardee and the salmon tasted like a cafeteria dish— I’m not being dramatic. We’re really not that picky. They were both really not edible in our opinion and there’s no way we could have enjoyed them. I already had closed out my tab because we were late for the rest of our night and we told him that we really didn’t want to eat them and didn’t like it at all. He seemed frustrated and ripped up the bill in front of us and said “don’t worry about it.” We felt uncomfortable with the idea of just walking out and it wasn’t his fault and he deserved a tip for doing his job still. So we insisted on paying for something so that we could tip him. He still didn’t seem into it and seemed frustrated but he did it and we were really glad he did. We tipped him $20 and left. Will absolutely never go back and I don’t recommend this place in any way. Such a bummer.
Southpark has several outdoor tables, some in the shade and some in the sun. There's very little traffic these days, so it was very pleasant sitting in the shade. The food is as good as ever -- steamed clams, crabmelt sandwich, and Caesar salad were all excellent.
I was on a week-long business trip to Portland during Covid19 and while downtown Portland is a different experience is was nice to walk into a restaurant, sit at a table in the bar and enjoy a fantastic salad. I had the grilled shrimp salad and it did not disappoint. The service was terrific and the staff super friendly.
I had the clam chowder and 1/2 dozen oysters! It was all delicious. My son had the salmon with a farro, corn mixture that was to die for! Definitely will be back!
My friends and I had a wonderful dinner with excellent service. Kris the tables were more than six feet apart and we felt very safe! I highly recommend Southpark Seafood!
Friendly service. Outside tables are safely spaced at least 6 ft if not more. Pleasant dining experience and food is very good
Excellent food, outstanding service, I didn't get the bartenders name but he was super friendly and personable. Can't wait for Lunch or Happy Hour.
Awesome selection of oysters, I think they had 7+ varieties to choose from when we dined. The mignonette is fantastic. Ordered seafood platter, more oysters, clams, flat iron, several house cocktails—all were fantastic. Spendy for sure but when it comes to dining out I don’t mind the bill as long as the food is fresh and well prepared.
They have best salmon!! Clam chowder was outstanding too
This was our first time out to dinner since Valentines Day as we are higher risk. Staff wore masks. Social distancing was respected. We decided to eat inside. I bring my own wipes. I felt like it was fairly safe, though a young party of 4 was seated nearby -it was an appropriate distance.
The bartender (I believe David T.) was OUTSTANDING. He washed his hands and used sanitizer many times during our visit and made an absolutely perfect Old Fashioned. Honestly the best I've ever had (and I modify it a bit). My husband had Daiquiris.
We had the seafood platter, octopus, two dozen oysters, a little bread and butter, German chocolate cake and cappuccino. OMG yummy. There wasn't a scrap left. Perfect portions. Absolutely awesome dining experience.
I gave a 3* for value only because oysters really shouldn't be $39/dozen on the half shell - we would love an excuse to go more often! They had baked oysters last time and we love those, too.
They were great - only slight teeny hitch was although we expressed strictly gluten-free, server forgot the poke had white soy sauce. However, we caught it and the manager Jason brought out a double/triple portion with no gluten. Great make-good!
During this crazy world we are living with COVID-19, we need to have a bit of relaxation and enjoyment to keep us going. Southpark has always been a place to go for fine food and great people, our visit this time was no different. We started with a Shrimp Cocktail and grilled octopus, followed by the wild Columbia River King Salmon, cooked perfectly. We enjoyed our meal with a bottle of Chardonnay. David was our server who took care of us food and conversation wise. What a great way to spend an early evening outside dining! Perfect. Thanks Southpark!
Southpark Seafood provides everything I was hoping for - great food, amazing staff, accommodating seating (outdoors for social distancing), and did I mention the great food?!
We’ve dined at Southpark many times in the past few years. Nice to go back to a familiar place after so many months sheltering. Good to know the same good service and cuisine exists in the COVID-19 world. Outdoor seating along the sidewalk, closed to pedestrians, was well spaced and quite nice. The glass overhang makes it great when those NW sprinkles arrive!
Our waiter Dave was great, the cioppino yummy!!
Drinks, starters, mains, and desserts were all superb. Of special note were the oysters and the lemon cheesecake. Attentive, efficient, and warm staff. One of our Portland favorites for decades, Southpark Seafood continues its tradition of excellence.
Great Food. Great Service. Safe spaced dining. Loved the Octopus & Clam Chowder.
The clam chowder was a wonderful surprise. We shared the seafood plate with chowder, salad and dessert. Everything was great!
Wait staff very engaged! We loved the wine and anniversary dinner!
Service was basic. The food and wine was good. We ordered the shrimp and grits and I added a squeeze of lemon and it was amazing.
We always enjoy Southpark and this time just as much. Everyone was very happy with their food selection. The service was great and conscious of social distancing. We observed workers cleaning and wiping down surfaces.
We came for the Portland Dining Monthly special. I had green salad, steel head followed by the bread pudding. Everything was delicious. Great atmosphere and service.
This was our first visit. The food was simply outstanding. My wife and I agreed that the steelhead dinner I had was one of the best seafood dishes we have ever enjoyed. I plan to return with one of my sons just to enjoy more of the oyster dishes. Oh my, how wonderful! Our waitress was so nice, so informative. Would we go again? Absolutely!
It was great. Really loved the food. Sat in the bar for dinner so we could get happy hour pricing on drinks. Staff was really accommodating.
Great evening out. The food and service were superb
We enjoyed our Portland dinning month special menu, all courses were fantastic. We will be back.
This worked out very well overall, however I thought we had made a reservation by following the link - for March Dining Month. Was sorely disappointed that we were not able to order off of that specific menu until 5 pm
We love this restaurant! We typically go for dinner, but had out of town guests, so took advantage of the brunch. Wow! The drinks were lovely, and the food was fabulous, as always. Two of us opted for the crab roll. It looked small when it arrived, but had big flavor and was very satisfying! The Tabasco added a little kick and the bread was toasted perfectly. A nice treat. Our group of six were all very pleased with the meal and service. Thanks to our server and the kitchen for helping our allergy-challenged diner to put together the perfect meal within her limitations.
Came for Portland Dining Month. Great meal in a beautifully remodeled space. Exceptional service. Oyster selection was peerless!
