Steven our server was wonderful. Real fresh anchovies on our Cesar salad was a rarity and amazing!!!!
I’ll be back
We have never been disappointed in this restaurant in the 6 years we've been dining there. Glad to see they are able to maintain the standard despite COVID.
Great service! Wonderful Brazino. Chocolate Cardamom Pot de Crème—wicked!
Great food and service
This was our first visit and it won't be our last. Great food and great service from Ricki, our server. From checking in with the Host, meeting our server, Ricki and food runners. Everyone was very professional and friendly.
We asked how spicy a dish was. The waiter was honest with us, which we appreciated as spicy just doesn’t agree with us.
In these Covid times, Southpark's high ceilings and ventilation are an added bonus to their great service and delicious food.
Food was great, service was great too!
Just met with friends. The hostess was gracious. Our server was absolutely perfect.
It was a nice new twist on serving Cod. Dragon Kale was especially good.
Had a long business interview and the staff were so great! The food was excellent and everything was flawless. Thank you!
I'm guessing it's due the COVID-related supply chain issues but the entrees seemed particularly boring for a fancy seafood restaurant. Burger and steak? You can get that anywhere, show us your seafood skills, you're in Portland.
Portions were tiny. King Salmon was less than 3oz and served skin up. My whole Brazinno fish was charred black on outside, it gave the whole fish dish a burnt flavor when I dug into it to retrieve fish meat. They put pasta in their Choppino seafood soup. Not traditional. Oysters were good. Peanut butter chocolate stack dessert was good. It was our anniversary and they didn’t give us a free dessert like many other higher end pricier restaurants. Bread at beginning of meal was stale and terrible. And probably the most annoying thing…was the small plates they served our food on. Plate should be large enough for food to fit on without food sliding off onto table when you eat it.
A pre-show dinner. Enjoyed our meal, service was timely!
Wonderful food. Service was attentive by and timely. All very mindful of safety in the midst of an on-going epidemic. Our first adventure after staying home for 18 mo and to a favorite restaurant did not disappoint.
It was so delish! Glad we were there for happy hour prices on the oysters and clams.
We brought friends to what has become a local haunt for us and they enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service as much as we did.
Iced tea was never refilled. Food brought out at different times. Clearly short staffed like most places. Still excellent quality food.
If you like your fish and chips with a lot of batter and limp fries, this is the place to get them.
The food was great!!
Everyone was great except the two hostess up front. They both were Very rude aside from that great food and awesome service from the wait staff.
I loved this place but my last 2 meals not so much. Heavy oily breading on fish and soggy chips (fries). Cole slaw smothered in mayonnaise. Not going back anytime soon.
For what it was built up to be the menu and presentation seemed dated pre-21st century. Food was fine but nothing was memorable. Service was a little slow.
Awesome food and wait staff! We weren't rushed at all, and our waiter kept in mind that we had a show to go to. One of my Portland favorites!
Nice variety of small plates. Their basic foods (fries, bread) are given as much care as the elegant. Great location.
In town for work and remembered a great meal I had here a few years back. Not the same this time around. Our server was wonderful. The food however was not. I will say the oysters and clam chowder were delicious.
Never had a bad meal here. Ate at outside table had lovely salmon and chowder orders. Good wines just nothing to complain about Server great. Seated right away. Heaters and shades against weather so outdoor seating is great.
Great service and food!
Reservations give you such a leg up on getting a table during these trying times; No wait and ushered right to our table; Plus a generous 15 minute allowance which came in handy as we were coming from a matinee that went a tad long. Hostess; Busser and server were all commendable; Efficient and personal and professional. Food is always so good; Our favorite dish hands down were the Brussel sprouts. Oh and THANK YOU for having hand-crafted non-alcoholic bevies available!! Soda water and drinking vinegar spritzers were awesome!
In a time of staff shortages in the hospitality industry, I felt our waiter went out of his way to be attentive and provide exceptional service.
Fantastic food and drink. Highly recommended
Sat at an outside table, (covid,) so there were people wandering by and stuff, but service was excellent and the food is delicious, you can't go wrong here.
Amazing service and food. Perfect pre-theatre spot.
First time in almost two years of dining in Portland. Sure glad we found Southpark Seafood. Felt very safe, great food and the service was amazing! As season ticket holders of Broadway of Portland we will definitely be back!
Symphony opening—great server-excellent fish and chips!
Best seafood meal I had in a long time!! Excellent clam chowder and Brussels
Excellent atmosphere.Waitress was great.fun time enjoying Portland
We had a reservation at 7:15. We were seated promptly in a booth. A little surprised that we were not asked for our vaccination cards as the prior two restaurants we dined at in Portland did require them. Also, not pleased to see that when people came in the front door not wearing their mask, or with the mask down around their necks they were not asked to put them on. I appreciate that restaurants have taken a tremendous hit the past year and do not want to be the mask police, however, they are going to loose a large segment of the population that wants to feel secure while dining. The service was understaffed which was understandable, the food was fine, my meat cooked exactly right, my friends fish was perfect. Great drinks also.
Great happy hour menu!
Everything was great! We were promptly seated upon arrival. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Will definitely be back the next time we're in town.
