Soleil @k - San Diego Marriott Gaslamp
Food and service was great, not packed on Valentine’s Day, we loved it!
Great food but small portions. Environment was very welcoming and fun. Service was great.
Buen desayuno ,rápido y Cortez quizás le falta un buffet matinal para los huéspedes del hotel
Muy bien savor y gourmet le falto in poco mas de vegetales en losnplatollos
great place for breakfast biz mtg during convention. walking distance from convention center, quiet , low key, great breakfast and fab coffee!!!! b
Had a wonderful night. Made reservation for thanksgiving dinner and they did not disappoint.
Kitchen was closed due to an issue we weren’t able to go
Waiter and food was exceptional. We will be back.
where are my points for this reservation? by the way we had the worst mother's day brunch
Service was good
Food was buffet food probably needed to be refilled but our water was nice and friendly
Love downtown San Diego
Will try it again
No napkins on the table. Three tortilla soups came out cold and at the same time as the meal. Bread was stale. Never posted my reservation to open table. Aside from that it was great.
The menu was limited for and associated with opening of baseball season. Since we were dining on Good Friday and wanting to select from seafood options, the selection was very slim. My bad for not checking the menu in advance.
The restaurant did not honor my reservation as the whole Restaurant was closed due to an event. Extremely upset by this.
Everyone was so great from beginning to end. Loved the outdoor feeling. Even from inside.
Nice staff, good food.
Food was horrible and had to return the fish and order a burger which was charred. $16 burger. I would not recommend this restaurant.
We had a nice time at latitude and then came downstairs for a special dinner everything was great a very memorable night
I did love it. The service was good. I recommend the brussel sprouts!
Had 19 family members over for brunch, was impressed with their ability to handle us. Everyone enjoyed their meals, they were very accommodating with all of our needs.
I also recommend them for dinner.
We've enjoyed Soleil@k when staying at the attached Gaslamp Marriott in the past, so were looking forward to dinner again this time. We were surprised to find that the menu, which had been largely the same for several years, had changed completely. Sure enough, after asking our server, we found that they recently got a new head chef. The food is still good, although we found fewer items on the menu that intrigued us. There is a strong southern influence to the dishes, which is fine but a bit limiting. But I will say that the desserts are MUCH better than they used to be--even though there are only a few, they were all fantastic!
In any event, the decor is still pleasant and the service truly outstanding. We'll still look forward to eating there in the future, just less for the food and more for the memories and overall experience. The wine list is diverse in both varietals and price points, and they also have an impressive selection of after-dinner cordials and liqueurs.
The waiter couldn't answer any of my questions. The debate was on and super loud. There were ppl standing around waiting for the waiter bcz he was alone with no help.
Food was average plus. Service was super. I was dining alone, but my wait staff was still attentive and friendly.
We were unable to eat due to dietary restrictions. However, the staff was very kind and the service was excellent. All of San Diego was crowded due to a convention and we were still seated promptly, with a knowledgeable server arriving quickly. She explained that the menu was limited because of the convention and did her best to help us. The food looked great and other diners were enjoying it.
The food was alright, not great for the price. The ambiance was nice, though very dark making it extremely hard to read the menu. The drinks were wonderful and strong. All in all we would not return to eat again, as it was not anything that we enjoyed that much
My friend wanted a beer with lung but the bar doesn't open until 5. Really? We both had a sandwich on sourdough that seemed a little stale. Not awful but not worthy of a return visit.
We went there as it was close to Petco Park for the Billy Joel concert. It took an hour to get service and then part of our order did not come. Granted, it was a busy night, but this was just poor service.
Absolutely TERRIBLE...services was unbelievably slow. So much so that at least 4 couples sitting around us left the restaurant. When we finally got our food, it was ice cold. Never again!!!! We actually heard the waiter tell one of the customers "I don't care, I get paid by the hour"........
Awful. Awful. Awful on so many levels!
Somewhat limited menu but that's fine because everything I had was well prepared. The servers are very friendly and are quite efficient.
My wife and I got away from our kids and enjoy nice romantic dinner at Soleil@K. Kristee took very good care of us. My lamb chops where huge and very tasty.
After dinner we went to their bar Altitude for a drink - a must see place.
The team only had an hour for a lunch meeting and it took 1.5+ hours to get our food. So I had to leave before getting served, and didn't get to eat. A few from my team stayed behind to continue to wait for their food.
We had a Sunday reservation at noon. The restaurant advertised Sunday brunch. Brunch ended at 11 am, however. That is breakfast, not brunch. We would not have come for lunch.
The rack of lamb was amazing!
Out of town for a conference, we ate here for Thanksgiving, where they had a very bountiful buffet, all inclusive, including desserts and salads, reasonably priced. They managed to squeeze us in for a reservation, although they were highly booked. We sat comfortable in the tented in area adjacent to the restaurant. Servers were polite and professional. Special thanks go to Eric, the Manager, for running such a nice and friendly establishment and his efforts to help.
They really are not able to honor reservations, especially during any busy time. It is more of a walk in restaurant for the hotel. There does not seem to be a restaurant manager, or it there is he/she hides in the back and lets the poor staff be thrown to the wolves. Not really their fault, because there does not seem to be enough staff or a system of organization. Maybe with new management they could get things under control.
We tried to eat breakfast after spending one night in the hotel & we could not get waited on & the place wasn't that busy! Unbelievable & extremely rude. We left after waiting for awhile & walked to Toscana's for a wonderful breakfast with impeccable service. We will never eat at Soleil's again.
Brunch was provided quickly and with good quality food
We had a reservation for 7pm for 9 people. We ordered and waited and waited and waited for over an hour
And we were the only people in the restaurant
Over an hour later the food came out and the mashed potatoes were cold flavor was so so
We tried this place at taste of gaslamp and they had the best sampler out of 20 or so others we tried. Other than the poor service from the valet, who quickly shooed us away regardless of our dinner reservation, and the giant sign stating complimentary valet for people eating in the restaurant; the experience was good. We had flat bread and an assortment of entrees, all of which were delicious.
The service was good, and the atmosphere was great for people watching as a padres game was going on at the time.
A pleasant surprise. The food was much better than I expeected. The Ahi tuna was delicious!
