An excellent meal, very well priced with top notch service: highly recommended.
The food was good but not exceptional and as I have visited other Jason Atherton restaurants before, I was a little disappointed as I expected more of a wow. The ambience was good as it was buzzy for a Monday night and it had a nice relaxed vibe.
My main criticism is of the Barman who took our order in the bar before we sat down for dinner, who was arrogant, rude and awkward to deal with on two separate occasions and spoke down to us and was very unhelpful. Kept wanting to tell us how it is done in"high end bars" rather than just using the mixer we asked for.
An amazing vibe, the service was very good. We were served by a lovely Lithuanian young lady and an Irish man. One of the managers on duty was originally from Adelaide, Australia.
The food was so so good. We highly recommend you experience it. We will be back.
Good service, great food. Nice atmosphere.
2nd visit to SEH. Excellent food for the price. Would recommend.
Everything was super tasty and the staff was very friendly.
My only complaint was that the sommelier seemed to forget about us, so we ended up having only one glass of wine.
I loved that the music wasn't too loud so you can actually talk.
Great selections of wines
Steak cooked to perfection
Lovely Michelin starred restaurant without trying to hard !
The welcome was good but then service was pleasant but slow.
The vegetarian starter and main were beautiful ideas and really interesting flavours. However the mushroom salad starter was too large as the flavours were so intense and the miso aubergine was literally dripping in cooking oil which was just overwhelming. I did mention this but there was no response to this.
Lovely atmosphere and great menu - my husband’s experience of the food was more positive but for me not quite hitting the mark.
Previous visits had the wow factor both for service and food. This trip however, actually made us question whether the restaurant was experiencing financial difficulty.
The food was at best, average. Corners had clearly been cut. Extremely disappointing. Zero wow factor. Even worse, as this was a special occcassion.
The service in the bar was super slow. 30 mins before we received our first drink.
I would have relayed my disappointment in the restaurant at the time, but no one took the time to ask.
This will unfortunately be our last visit to a restaurant that was up there as one of my favourites. Such a shame.
Was a really fun place and food was delicious. Service was slow thought, took an over hour and a half to get our mains.
Simply wonderful. The attention to detail is out of this world.
Awful service was very busy really inattentive wait staff
Had a great dinner on my own which can be awkward but it was fine. Staff were lovely and food a drink brought at a great pace. The place is buzzy and exciting and quite chic. I was in and out in plenty of time for my evening theatre show without feeling rushed or like I had to run to the theatre. Brilliant. Will absolutely be back when I’m next in London.
Excellent meal. This is what a restaurant is all about, serving food that in my wildest dreams I could not prepare at home.
Incredible food, you get way more than expected for a Michelin starred place. Best steak I've ever had.
Tasting menu, opening course of raw scallops was the outstanding dish. This was spectacular, other courses were certainly good, but not memorable. Cheese selection (3 cheeses) could be much improved. Premium wine flight included some excellent wines. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Great food. Great ambiance. But the veggie menu was a bit repetitive (you’d better like broccoli) and, while GF seemed to be something they could initially accommodate, it all seemed to get hard (GF bread turned up with apologies 5 mins after the starter was cleared away).
Perhaps to do with GF, who knows, main course took forever to arrive - I love a chat between meals but this was a little too long when proper hungry.
Food was great - I loved the fish courses and my wife does love broccoli!
Booked a table for a valentines lunch and it was amazing! The ambience was nice and quiet since we went for a lunch booking and the food and presentation was great. The service was really friendly and made us feel comfortable as we had our lunch. I’ll definitely come back again soon with friends and family !
Turned up late and they were very accommodating. Salmon, pork, and tiramisu were particularly delicious
Service, food and cocktails are amazing. Definitely coming back and recommending. So good! Thank you
Great range of food, very well-prepared - the menu changes, so it may not always be to your tastes. Service excellent and great wine list.
Fantastic value for a pre theatre dinner. Food was delicious and service was great.
This is one of the most expensive restaurants, given its value proposition, that I have experienced to date. And I am not an inexperienced restaurant-goer. Food, service, ambiance was all good to great, but far too expensive. Clearly I am in the minority, as the restaurant was fully booked.
Had a lovely stay to my evening at this restaurant . I will definitely revisit .
The staff could not have been more welcoming and the unexpected touches we received in recognition of the event being my mothers birthday were outstanding. Would HIGHLY recommend.
The food, service and ambience were all lovely. A great place to catch up with friends.
It's a lovely restaurant with character and the service was attentive. We had high hopes but we found the food was a little underwhelming though, some dishes were too salty and the chocolate fondant didn't have the expected melt in the middle chocolate oozing out of it. Didn't try the wine, but can recommend the G&T cocktails! And the cheeseboard selection was great 👍
Took them twenty minutes to seat us and then another ten to fifteen before anyone came for our order. Food was good but not worth the prices.
Food is outstanding in a wonderful venue. Staff are delightful and the sommelier telling you which wine to have with each course is a brilliant touch. Highly recommend, but will need to save up for it.
Fantastic food and very good service. Fine dining in a relaxed casual environment. The ribeye was perfect. Superb cocktails. Possibly the best sommelier I have ever had, in terms of speaking plainly and concisely about the reds on the list, with a great recommendation.
Lovely ambiance, food perfectly presented and prepared. Staff very professional and friendly whilst we were eating. However, once we’d finished dessert and didn’t want coffee I got the feeling it was time to leave - our napkins were whipped away and no more water was offered. I’d have liked to stayed a bit longer as I had met my best friend from childhood, whom I hadn’t seen for a few years. We still had lots of catching up to do but I got the impression it wasn’t the kind of place you lingered around talking after you’ve finished. It was a disappointing end to a lovely lunch.
The quality of the food really sets this place apart and the service was attentive without being obtrusive. Would have preferred a side table but overall a great dining experience - would definitely recommend
Great venue !
Amazing food and drinks !
Great service too !
