Soby’s New South Cuisine is an eclectic blend of contemporary continental cuisine infused with traditional Southern ingredients, transforming old favorites into something fresh and new.     Our waiter seemed to be in a bad mood and was very unresponsive. The food was amazing except for the duck confit. It was way overcooked and hard to chew.

    We went for dinner on a Thursday night and I have never been in a louder restaurant in all our travels. We were a four top and had to literally shout to each other across the table. Our ears were ringing when we left. The service was excellent and the food was excellent, but we could not believe how horribly loud it was. They need to seriously put some noise dampening in there.

    Great restaurant & great service w Kyle. My only complaint would be that my sword fish was a bit overcooked. It should be nice & flaky, maybe a little pink. I did mention it after our meal. It had a nice sauce. My husband liked his mussels & thought the broth was excellent. This is second time we’ve eaten here. We don’t live in Greenville, or we would go more often. We’ll definitely eat here again when visiting Greenville.

    Excellent meal - had to try the shrimp and grits and was not disappointed. It was served with tasty cheddar biscuits. Service from all was great - very friendly and personable. Will definitely be back! Quick service, but didn’t feel rushed.

    I was strongly encouraged to dine here by a friend. I is a cavernous space. Huge crowd of boisterous drinkers and revelers. Obviously folks are having a good time. But the food, at least mine, was neither well presented or worth trying.

    Loved the atmosphere and enjoyed a great meal at Soby's. We ordered pimento cheese and a salad for appetizers and then shared the braised short ribs for our entree. Serving sizes were plentiful and the food was good! Our server was attentive and polite, although he seemed a little rushed due to being overloaded with tables at the time we were there.

    Beautiful converted mill. Exposed brick with wooden floors. Varied menu. Beef short ribs were excellent! Don’t leave without trying a dessert! Expansive wine list. Skilled waitstaff and servers. Highly recommended.

    Great atmosphere inside with exposed brick and a beautiful wooden floor. The sausage in my wife’s shrimp and grits was a little spicy for her tastes. My bacon wrapped tenderloin was delicious. I had the sauce on the side and was thankful because it had quite the kick. The broccoli had a wonderful favor. The sweet tea was not very sweet. The biscuits were very tasty, so much so we asked for a second basket. Our server seemed to have a lot of tables, but constantly checked on us throughout our evening.

    The service was outstanding, but the sandwich I had ordered came to the table in a grilled bun that seamed to be stale. The bottom of the bun on the outside ended up being hard as a rock. other than that all was good.

    We ate Sunday brunch upstairs at a round table and loved that it was quiet, as we were enjoying our visit with our friends. The food was delicious and LOVED the $3.01 mimosa's. Will be returning again and again......

    Everything was excellent , fried green tomatoes with pimento sauce was delicious , the bread was light and perfect. Fried chicken was superb, not over cooked . Pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked. No wonder they are always crowded- so good!

    Awesome evening and the dinner was spot on. Wait staff were friendly and helpful with descriptions of the entree options. Very pleasant evening and we will definitely return on our next trip to Greenville. Conveniently located near the Westin and many downtown locations.

    Great value on the menu items. Sothern cuisine well cooked and well plated, with attention to the complimentary items like Carolina Gold Rice and Course Grits. The rice is called "Charleston ice cream" for a reason. Good cadence on the service, too...you don't ever feel left alone, but not bothered with verbal anesthesia. Everything is refined but not stuffy. Soby's has maintained a refined service culture.

    Main entrées we’re delicious. (Filet and Fried Chicken). The were not hot just warm which seemed odd. The peach crisp was horrible as there was no crisp pastry. Drinks were excellent and the biscuits.

    Soby's is okay. I would not recommend it. To me, it's overrated. We ordered shrimp and grits and crab cakes. The food okay, but for the amount you paid... it is not worth it. As a resident of Atlanta, I have had better food for the value. I would not recommend it. This is my opinion. The service was great. Thank you, Michael.

    The food for all 5 patrons was rather average. Rather disappointing as we usually like the food. Lemon ricotta pancakes had very little lemon ricotta. The oatmeal was bland. Disappointing to say the least.

    We have been to Soby’s many times. We thought we would try Brunch this morning. We were very disappointed with the fried chicken. It was so salty we could hardly eat it. The biscuit & gravy were delicious as well as the sticky bun. We did not say anything to our waitress regarding the very salty chicken. We are not complainers. The service was outstanding!!

    Cocktails and mocktails were delicious. Appetizers all sound wonderful, we went with the Brussel sprouts and it was DELICIOUS. Entrees we’re plenty of food, shrimp and grits and short ribs, the meat was tender and shrimp cook perfectly. Dessert (Carolina peach crisp) hit the spot!
