Great food and great atmosphere. We had a wonderful server who had a great attitufe. Great visit for our anniversary dinner!
We ate outside on the patio, hence the noise level was understandably a little high. But the food and service were impeccable. Our server Cody was absolutely the best.
The food was delicious as usual but service was off through the entire visit. It took a bit to catch a passing waiter's attention to order. Then, salad and appetizer came at the same time, cheese biscuits came with the main course.
We felt rushed and ignored at the same time. It was our anniversary so wanted it to be special.
Would still mostly recommend because the food was definitely good.
We were on the patio for the Sunday Brunch which was lovely. Good food and great service by Kyle.
Unfortunately my mother and I were a bit disappointed with our selections. We wish we’d ordered something different. The fried green tomato Benedict had a runny over easy egg, not poached, and no hollandaise sauce, which we both were expecting. We will know not to order that again.
I had the fried green tomato benedict which I really enjoyed. My husband had the fried chicken biscuit and gravy which he loved and our friends shared a shrimp and grits which they really liked too. It was a great place for brunch and our server also did a wonderful job taking care of us. We would highly recommend Soby's.
Soby’s is a fantastic place we have been to many times and have celebrated many special occasions. It is always a favorite whenever we are in the beautiful town of Greenville. On this particular day we were hoping to do the Sunday brunch we were accustomed to but due to COVID they were not serving their usual Sunday brunch buffet. We were still however, greeted sweetly and given top notch service by Grant. We will continue to support this wonderful establishment and eagerly await for the Sunday brunch to return.
Great wine selection, food, and service.
Celebrated our wedding anniversary here. Food was great, staff was great. Not the most romantic given we were seated in the center next to the kitchen. Disappointing given I let them know ahead of time so expected better seating.
Food and service was great! We had an amazing dinner here.
Our first time to Soby’s! It was excellent. Glad we made a reservation because it was very crowded! Our waiter Grant was excellent - very attentive & knowledgeable about the menu. I had the corvina dish & it was incredible. My husband had the bacon wrapped tenderloin & he loved it. Great location as well! We were on the SRT all day so it was nice to do a short walk from the Embassy Suites hotel wher we stayed. Can’t wait to come back! Great time Soby’s!!
Waiter was far too talkative, interested in putting on a show. Orders were slow, drinks and salads were missed (not delivered after ordered) made lots of excuses then apologized a lot. Would have been so much better if he just kept quiet and used a pencil and paper. Took an out of town guest because it is always so consistent and good. And it was a bit embarrassing. Will certainly be back. Just a poor night. Food was good.
Everything was so delicious and everyone was extremely nice! Highly recommend!
Great service. Food was mediocre. Some things inedible like veggies being under cooked and others being fried to death (who deep fried broccolini).
Our server was awesome but the food was below average. Their menu could use a few more selections. Corvina was just ok and tasted like tilapia. Fried chicken was overcooked and salmon was undercooked. I had hoped to get a free dessert on my birthday but nothing was offered.
It’s probably a nice place for drinks.
The host and staff were very friendly. The service was quick and the food was very good!! I would highly recommend the honey fried chicken!! Will definitely be going again soon.
Soby's is reliably great. From friendly hostesses greeting you at the door, cocktails, service, food, ambiance all combine to always deliver an enjoyable experience. We found out this visit that they offer free valet service
(except for brunch). It's a dependable recommendation for friends visiting the area looking for an exceptional dining venue and a long time favorite.
We dined at Sobys for a special dinner to welcome my parents on their first visit to Greenville. Since we anticipated the heat, I’d requested an indoor table. While the fans were running it was still a bit warm in the full and buzzing restaurant.
Our server Heather was lovely and attentive, and she indulged my father’s jokes and stories. While the noise level was excessive, we enjoyed a great evening out. When our server misheard one of our appetizer orders (due to the noise), they invited us to eat the incorrect appetizer and quickly brought out the correct dish. We had the cheese plate, calamari and pimento cheese appetizers and ate most of all three dishes. I’ll definitely get the calamari on a return visit.
The wine list is impressive and extensive and Heather had helpful suggestions for our table’s varied taste preferences. The gentleman who brought one round of our drinks to the table had a fun conversation with my beer-loving husband about a brewery in Charleston and now we’re all anxious to make a trip.
For dinner, our party had the fried chicken, crab cakes, salmon and I had the she crab soup with berry salad. All entrees received rave reviews. I was half tempting put a straw in my soup - it was that good. The one disappointment from the meal was my berry salad. It was incredibly overdressed with green goddess and I felt like I was eating a bowl of guacamole.
In short, we will certainly return to Soby’s soon and I’ll even order the berry salad again, but making sure to request 25% of the typical serving of dressing.
Every now and then an eating experience exceeds expectations. We had a lovely night in Greenville, S.C and a fan tas tic dinner at Sobys.
The fried green tomatoes and fried chicken are out of this world. Our lovely server gave us the restaurants history making the evening even better. The founder is first generation American living the dream. 👍👍👍👍
Don't walk...run to Soby's! While on business in Greenville, SC we dined at this fabulous restaurant. It was directly across from our hotel which was a bonus! Being from Boston, we wanted to experience the southern fare and WOW. Fried green tomatoes so light and flavorful. The crab cakes were the best I have ever had--the crab-meat really shine in all its delicate sweetness. The shrimp & grits packed a spicy punch and was enough for two!
Fabulous! Wonderful meal!
Great waiter and awesome food, as always. We always visit Sony’s when we are in Greenville. My husband had the crab cakes and I tried the Nashville hot chicken. Crab cakes were wonderful Andy the chicken had just the amount of sweet heat!
Great restaurant choice in Greenville. Bone Marrow appetizer was delicious along with each entree.
Great food and service ! As it’s a bit expensive I wouldn’t suggest it for everyday dining
Excellent service! Delicious entrees. Lively ambience.
Great service and always great food! Should be some sort of dress code.
Great experience! Had dessert first- don’t miss out on the banana pie. Dinner after dessert and it was equally as good!
We have been enjoying Soby's since they opened and have never been disappointed. Consistent food, service, and experience - always look forward to returning.
Everything about our meal was superb. The food was exquisite; we had the fried green tomatoes (to die for!), the grouper (so great!), the filet and the salmon...we loved everything. The service was fantastic in all ways. They even gave us a free dessert because one of us was having a birthday. We sat outdoors, which was very pleasant, pretty and comfortable. In all respects this is a top-notch restaurant.
