A regular stop to bring friends and family. We had four great meals and appetizers. Our server was great: helpful, attentive. Will continue to return.
We visited Soby's for my birthday dinner with friends. I thought since it was a Monday night it would be quiet and not busy. Wrong! We ordered drinks which were slow to arrive. After bringing the drinks our waitress came to take our order and was very pleasant. I ordered a salad and my friend some soup before our meals. We had only had our drinks for a few minutes when the salad and soup appeared. Before we finished our drinks, dinner came. Dinner was tasty but the service was slow to get the bottle of wine we ordered. The ambience is very nice, but we would have appreciated some time to enjoy our drinks. When our waitress learned that it was my birthday, she put a candle in the pie. Overall, it was nice.
Delicious food - crab cake was great and I liked that They will combine with shrimp and grits. Server was very knowledgeable on food and wine - even looked up a region in Italy for our guest
The only disappointment was that they were out of a lot of menu items due to a large event in town. Service by Michael was excellent.
Food was marginal at best, service was fair, nothing special.
Dishes were creative and delicious. Service was impeccable. Loved it and will definitely be back.
Shrimp and grits arrived without Shrimp and there were minimal grits. Very disappointing. Shrimp was delivered after asking.
We have enjoyed Soby’s brunch for years but the menu since Covid restrictions is not as good. My husband was really disappointed in the chicken and biscuits. He said there was very little gravy and the chicken was bland. I would have preferred a classic eggs Benedict instead of the fried Green Tomatoe Benedict.
The food mostly was the star here. The pimento dip, fried chicken, and vanilla bean creme brûlée were excellent. 4 stars because the bacon wrapped tenderloin was bland and needs more sauce with the lack of seasoning. Service was good, but not outstanding.
Best crabcakes I've ever had. We had 2 servers who took wonderful care of us. They were knowledgeable and helpful with the menu items. Delicious drinks and great music playing. Can't wait to go back!
Had to send filet back for coming out well done, when medium rare was ordered. Over charged for house liquor. Server was only interested in their story, would quickly run off if a question was asked. Not returning.
Food was adequate at best
This was our first real dinner out since COVID-19 and it did not disappoint. Soby’s is a wonderful restaurant and the food choices are varied and sourced locally. I had short ribs and my husband has pork loin. Both amazing and delicious. Our favorite part of the meal though was our server, Brion. He was spectacular and treated us like we were his most valued customer. Very professional, courteous, and timely in all aspects of our dinner. Every server should be a Brion.
Our waitress was wonderful and timely. Food was delicious as always.
We had brunch on the patio on a beautiful day. Everything was wonderful. The reservation form asked if our reservation was for a special event- it was for our anniversary. Nothing was mentioned about it, so I'm not sure why they asked? Or waitress was great. We had the crab cakes, sticky bun, and salmon toast along with 3.01 mimosas and everything was outstanding
Menu was a bit heavy: not a lot of light options for so early in the am for brunch but the fried chicken biscuit was delicious. Pecan sticky bun a bit dry. And coffee not overly flavorful: a bit weak tasting, esp. if you added cream. Location nice and service very good however. Just a bit expensive for what we experienced. I might would recommend it but am not sure.
One of the best brunches I have EVER had! The Fried Chicken Biscuit with Gravy is to die for!
Great food and service!
We visited for a quick dinner before a show at the Peace Center. The service and food was excellent. They served us quickly, and we had plenty of time get to the show.
It’s was Fabulous! They placed our group in the wine cellar and it was perfect. We all loved the ambience and our server was Awesome! Hats off to everyone...our reservation numbers kept changing and they were so accommodating. The food was wonderful also! If you need a special place to celebrate or just have a great meal, I can’t say enough good things. Please check them out!
We selected Soby's for dinner before seeing a performance at the nearby Peace Center. We ate upstairs and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We shared charcuterie and calamari appetizers, ordered tuna, shrimp and grits, and hot honey chicken for our entrees. All were delicious. We shared the creme brulee for dessert. Our server was fantastic! We would absolutely dine here again!
We have attempted to eat at Soby’s previously but left due to a rude hostess. We tried again but were turned away due to being told there wasn’t any seating despite obvious empty tables. This experience was even worse. Again the hostess was quite snobby. We were seated at a table that was separated from the rest of the outdoor tables and was basically in the middle of the sidewalk! We asked if we could be seated at any of the three open tables, but were curtly told by the hostess that they were already taken. Despite ordering my children’s’ meals with our drink orders, they all came much later when our other meals were brought to us.
Delicious brunch! Wonderful service! Will definitely be back!
Great Food and awesome service. Glad to be back!
I have been many times and it is always good. This time the food was great for my guest and subpar for me. I ordered the pork tenderloin and it was close to raw, the bacon wrapped around it was still white and wiggly. I have had it numerous times before and it has alway been my favorite. I brought it home and heated it up the next day in a pan and it was then cooked and good.
Soby's is one my favorite places to eat in Greenville, SC.
Food and service is always excellent. Never disappoints.
Food was just average and the cesear salad was subpar.
Great food, service, and location. We live in Charleston and eat out regularly so our expectations are high because of the bar Charleston market sets. Sit outside if the weather permits.
Absolutely delicious. We chose the vegetable plate preceded by the fried green tomatoes.
Lanette was delightful to have at our booth and the sparkling water was a nice compliment.
Easter brunch. Food was delicious. Service a little slow but that is to be expected on a busy holiday.
We love Soby's and highly recommend it to all who visit Greenville! This Easter was not our best experience there. The food was not quite up to Soby's standards in my opinion. Server was fabulous as always. We will be back
Fantastic customer service and food!
We’ve enjoyed Sobys Easter buffet in the past but due to Covid there wasn’t one. It was a very limited menu and I chose shrimp and grits. It tasted nothing like the true dish I’ve had many times in many restaurants. No Cajun spice and the sauce was more like tomato soup than a spicy brown sauce that usually is used. Thankfully the waiter took it off our check after I expressed my disappointment.
Also there was no bread with our meal which I’d expect in a high end restaurant like Sobys. We probably won’t visit again anytime soon.
Food was served lukewarm and mediocre presentation.
