Our server was very nice, however their lunch menu is really condensed and small. As a vegetarian there was only one thing on the menu that I could get. Also got a drink and didn’t really like it, it was a bit unbalanced. Overall nice, but probably a better spot for dinner.
Erica took great care of us & helped find vegan options. The food was amazing! The greens in the stuffed acorn squash were touched with vinegar & complimented the sweet squash perfectly. Farro was firm but tender. The redfish filets were tender inside but crispy on the outside. The veggies (asparagus, potato, and merliton) were flavorful. Wonderful atmosphere although a little loud.
Fantastic spot; great vibe, awesome service and fun show!
No AC. Sent food back to the kitchen. Cocktails were terrible. The water was okay…. The waiters, host, servers, manager, etc. all of the staff was slow, inattentive and messy. I can’t believe the W hotel allows this restaurant to operate. The Olive Garden may be a better dining experience.
Decent chicken sandwich but I was hoping for more in the way of seafood or at least poboy sandwiches for a light late dinner. Chicken was very crispy and not overly seasoned. Cagin Fries needed more seasoning. Waitress was attentive and apologized the bar tender did not listen to her instructions about just a few drops of vermouth. It was still a good martini, just not great.
Past its prime. Wait staff inexperienced. Not a fine dining experience anymore.
The worst ever!!! I will say I have been here before and it was good but this time….. 2 hours in to dinner I say dinner but there was actually no food it never came. Couldn’t get drinks I had to open my own wine both and go get an ice bucket for it at the bar myself… at 2.5 hours we just got up and left… there is no qualified staff or management… 2 bad use to a nice place
Great service and delicious food!
Hi Fi11, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We are elated to hear you had such a great experience here at SoBou. We hope we'll see you again soon.
We waited for 35 minutes after being seated and no one came to our table. I spoke with another waiter and asked if he could find our waiter and still no one came. I spoke to the hostess and still no one came. We finally got up and left.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. I apologize sincerely for your recent experience here at SoBou. I will share this with leadership to ensure this does not occur again. We hope we get the chance to one day serve you in the way we intend to!
Our waitress was very good. Beautiful courtyard. Food was terrible. Vermicelli with shrimp was awful. Noodles were undercooked and shrimp was very charred.
Bapandrap, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We will share this with our culinary team. I hope that you'll join us again one day and we can provide you an experience that was great all around.
Richard was great!

We set outside and it was very nice.
Chef’s experience was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere & service. Unfortunately, the food was just OK. Asparagus served with entree were like chewing bamboo.
Wanted to love it, but just couldn’t.

I took my mom and I here for the special chef’s experience only offered through open table. I will honestly bring someone here EVERY time I come back to Nola the experience was that amazing. The chef, fabulous bartender and staff were absolutely UH-mazing. This will be our new favorite place to return to every time we come. The menu changes based on the season per the chef and we couldn’t be more excited to return ASAP. The bartender made THE best drinks we’ve had in Nola, she balances them superbly and specially tailors them to her guests. The food was also deliciously paired, and we appreciated the differences from the original menu. Thanks to the amazing team, cant wait to recommend it to everyone we know and be back soon. Xoxo
Thank you for joining us here at SoBou and for taking the time to leave us such an amazing review! We can't wait to see you all again:)
Nice staff, lighting bad, a/c blowing right on me, pork undercooked.
Located alongside the W. Ate during pandemic and after hurricane Ida so don't look too far into review. Food and atmosphere good. Have the bread pudding and ask chef for items not on menu.
Was only a very pricey brunch menu at 1:30 pm. This was not made clear when booking. Also a burlesque show, also not mentioned.
Appetizers came out with enteees, ordered 2 medium steaks that were well done, had to ask for silverware,
We had so much fun at the burlesque brunch. Would definitely recommend for a girls trip! The women were so beautiful and every set was amazing. The food was magnificent. I had the crab claws and pecan crusted fish. Literally chef kisses.
The restaurant was very accommodating when I called ahead to have a bottle of champagne brought to the table upon arrival however I had to discreetly remind them twice before it came to the table. We tried the tuna cones, meat pies and boudin trail as appetizers. The boudin link and ball were delicious but the cracklins were the fluffy chip variety, not the true crunchy pork belly. The tuna cones were tasty but gimmicky as each cone had a few of the tiniest diced cubes of tuna. The meat pies were great; crispy and flavorful. The drinks were excellent. The mains unfortunately were so incredibly salty that it was almost hard to finish the meals. We passed on dessert. Our waitress wasn’t terribly attentive with a mostly empty restaurant. I attempted to give feedback more than once but she would grab our plates and run away. Overall it was an average experience and we likely won’t be back anytime soon given the multitude of better options in the city.
Some of the best food you can find in NOLA
Overall experience was nice. The food was not so good, but staff and ambience was great.
The ambience is amazing, the food was okay. It was overly spicy in my opinion but overall it was a really nice experience.
The bar chef experience with chef Nick and the bartender Brandy was nothing short of amazing.
The food was amazing. Much better than I anticipated.
For an appetizer I had the Boudin Trail, which was a boudin link, cracklins and crusted boudin. The crusted boudin was the best part of it. The crackins basically came straight from the bag as best I can tell, and the boudin link was not terribly flavorful. I then had the gumbo, which for the most part was ok. There wasn't a lot of spice as the menu describes it, and the roux is dark, almost like there was a touch of chocolate in it. I then had the New York Strip for the entree, which came with smashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. The spinach was bland and lacked any flavor whatsoever, the steak was over cooked (ordered it medium) and had lots of gristle. The potatoes were good, and the Port Wine Jus on the steak was also very good. This whole meal was way below expectations, and for the overall price with tip at $103, it just wasn't worth it. In fact, this may be the worst meal I've ever had in NOLA from an expectations perspective.

Great except fir the bachelorette party…
What can I say, yet again SoBou did not disappoint. The burlesque brunch was that and then some. I fell in love with one of the dancers but played it cool lol. Great experience!! Already booked another brunch in August
We had the chef’s table experience and it was amazing! The cocktails were perfectly matched to the courses. The chef and the bartender explained each one so well. It was a fantastic experience.

Great spot for sharing New Orleans style small plates and cocktails. Love the lighted bottles that decorate the walls. Creates a very unique ambiance. Would love to come back for the Legs & Eggs Burlesque brunch on Sundays.

Sleek and sexy bar, other areas for weary tourists, and a fantastic room welcome you in. People watching 6 / 5. Good is amazing, boudin trail is a must. Really something classic delivered in a modern form.
