Smuggler's Brew Pub
We were seated promptly at the time of our reservation.
The beer was decent. We tried the Blonde Betty, which was refreshing, as well as a red IPA.
Our food was hit and miss. The gem wedge salad was ok, though the blue cheese dressing was too runny for my taste. The Chicken Royale came missing the cilantro mayo, and was very dry without it. The sandwich was supposed to come with bacon which it technically did, a single lonely piece on top. I didn’t feel up to finishing the sandwich, despite being very hungry. We also had the green chili burger, substituting the meat patty for the Beyond burger. I tried a few bites and thought it wasn’t too bad, but my date described it as “not great.”
The demeanor of the staff was a mix of friendly and serious.
Overall I wouldnt recommend this place for more than a beer.
Great place to watch football game and enjoy great food and service!!
Smugglers food is fantastic and service is first rate.
We always enjoy Smuggler's Brew Pub. Everyone finds something they like. We love the empanada appetizers. The beer-battered fish and chips entre is always a favorite!
Can not call this your regular brew pub with bar food. Food is great and good value. The cocktails and beer are good too.
Great food and beers. We all ordered burgers and salads, but the other items on the menu looked amazing. The beer and cocktails are delish! Make sure to make a reservation as it is small and you don’t want to be rushed through your flight of beers.
Do not book this restaurant. We had a reservation that they confirmed first by email then by text. When we arrived there was a note on the door that said closed for a private event. They did not inform us of any cancellations. When I called them they offered no apologies and no explanation. Upon reading other reviews they have done this to others who reserved with them.
Wir waren zum frühen Dinner dort. Ribs und Burger sind absolut zi empfehlen. Sehr aufmerksames Personal.
Really awesome food, beer, and service. Highly recommend! The Elk Bolognese and burgers were great. Citra IPA was also top notch. 👍🏼
I had an Optentable reservation that they said they did not have a reservation for me. I showed them my confirmation on my phone and response was very rude "I don't know what I am looking at!"..Burgers were fair, looked nothing like the photo. Empanda appetizer was frozen in the middle. Service was slow and careless.
The food is great. Our server was awesome. We go every week because we love the food and our serve, she knows what we like and how we like it. So very accommodating for locals and visitors alike.
We called at 5 regarding a reservation at 5:30 via OpenTable to indicate we would be a little late. After being put on hold for 5 minutes, we were told they didn't have our reservation. Although we could have been there at 5:45, they rejected our request.
Fortunately there are other great restaurants in Telluride. Don't waste your time on this one.
Food was good and so was the service. It was a good change from the other places we ate during our trip to Telluride and Mountain Village.
Despite the fact that we made th reservation the day before and the restaurant was empty when we arrived the manager aaid the power outage that day messed up all the Open Table reservations and we could not eat there. Just did not seem to make an attempt for better customer service
They did not have record of our reservation, despite the reservation info in our mobile device. Given bar seating that worked fine
Excellent casual dining spot. The menu has something for everyone and offers classic favorites. Kids loved the crispy chicken sandwich, the fish and chips were perfectly cooked, salads were fresh, and cocktails were excellent. Really, the only knock is the host. He was very friendly and accommodating to us this visit, but beware if you don’t have a reservation!
Good quality bar food with a few twists and good beer selection. Uneventful service = no bad surprises = good.
One of our favorites in Telluride. Great beer and food, and very good service! Our OpenTable reservation unfortunately didn't make it to the restaurant, but they still worked with us to get us a table without needing to wait.
Great place for our family. Two kids were satisfied. We had a corner booth where they were corralled. Quick efficient service. Beer selection was extensive and interesting. Wide variety of food for our group. Burgers, calamari, pasta, salads. Chicken tenders for the kids.
Sat at the bar with the family and had the best service and dining experience. Steve the bartender was amazing! Food was perfect and would highly recommend this restaurant when in Telluride! A++
A perfect gastro-pub for casual dining after a long day on the slope skiing. Their burgers and sandwiches are outstanding, incorporating ingredients of the Southwest. The great local brews added to the list. The serving staff was friendly and very receptive to the patrons. Make a reservation to avoid a long wait during peak season. The only criticism is maitre d's. They were very discourteous and unprofessional over the phone, when confirming the reservation. A big turnoff to otherwise an outstanding restaurant.
Everything about Smuggler’s was fantastic. It’s conveniently located near the gondola. The service was wonderful. I had the veggie patty sandwich and was delighted with the flavor and seriously the best french fries. I would definitely recommend for some comforting grub.
Great place for craft beer and burgers! It’s a happening place and we enjoyed it. Jennifer was very knowledgeable of the brews and her recommendations hit the mark. My daughter has celiac and gluten free options are a must, plenty of choices. We will be back!
Enjoyed our time at Smugglers..our waiter was awwsome..went for my brothers anniversary and brewer game..we got the bartender to put the TV on the game but she changed it for some guys she knew so we had to change tables 1/2 through our meal to watch another TV...my bill was $95 for 3 burgers and a couple beers for my brother and his wife which was a little pricey but ov all enjoyed ourselves...thanks
Great pork chop! Yum!
Excellent selection of craft brews and GREAT deals during 4 to 5:30 pm happy hour with still competitive prices thereafter. Food had a wide selection. We stuck to sandwiches and they were excellent.
Staff (especially Whitney, Tonia and Nate (Nathan) were very accommodating and professional.
Highly recommend for a casual spot.
The Tator Tots alone are worth going there for! Staff is great and the draft beer options hit the spot for me! We'll be back next time in town. Thank you!
Horrible service, bad food and over and hour to get food after ordering with 3 kids, 2 adults
Large party of 7, 2 sets of parents and teens, everyone had a great time and meal. Service could have been a bit better but overall was ok! Would definitely go back.
Awesome place to eat!! Elk pasta was amazing!!! Literally right down the road from lift 8 and gondola, I recommend eating here for lunch or making a reservation for dinner after hitting up the slopes all day! Yummy rose water martini.
I forget our servers name he was super cool and personable, older man with a great personality:) thanks for making it so memorable :)
We normally have an amazing meal a few times a year at this restaurant. This year I wished we saved our money. The waiter was soooo slow and kept asking us what we ordered. Then the food was not great, something has changed at this restaurant. Then we went for our daughters 6th birthday and they didn’t even offer her a free cookie or ice cream, would it kill them to do that....so we left and spent our money on desert at a different place.
It’s a terrific cozy casual place that has some terrific dishes. Don’t let the word “pub” fool you. It’s a lot more than burgers. It’s a very packed place. It shows you how good they are.
Loved it. Food was delicious and service was outstanding.
poorly cooked food and stale ingredients cant make up for the friendly service and neighborhood ambiance this restaurant provides. Wilted salads, under cooked fish make it a poor value for $$ spent
Fun spot. Good good and wait staff engaging. Super spot for delicious casual dining.
Great food and comfortable ambience, service was good too. We recommend and will be back!
Great food. Good service. The place is a bit chaotic. But worth the visit.
Will go back. Fun and great food!
We had reservations to spend our last night in Telluride at Smugglers. I even confirmed the reservations via open table two nights prior to mention it was my som's birthday. However, when we arrived we were told they had no record of our reservation. I showed them my open table confirmation and they said they were unable to seat us due to a private party. As we were leaving, they said they would honor our reservation, but when we sat down the waiter informed us we had 30 minutes to eat. Nevertheless, we still tried to have dinner. However, after being told that my beverage would take several minutes as they were busy we gave up and left. It seemed unreasonable to expect us to order and eat within 25 minutes. It was very disappointing for the entire family. Unfortunately, we were unable to get a reservation anywhere else in town since it was a busy weekend night. We were very disappointed as not having our reservation honored has never happened on open table in the past.
Burgers were amazing! Fresh cut French fries also outstanding
