The Dining Rooms at ‘SMITHS’ is famous for its British beef and industrial atmosphere. The flagship venue, ‘SMITHS’ of Smithfield is the flagship venue, having opened in 2000. Its Dining Room cooks British bred, quality dishes such as Slow Roast Pork Belly, Mash, Green Sauce and Salt Beef, Grain Mustard Mash, Roasted Carrots, Salsify, Red Wine & Pickle Sauce.

A good venue, easy to get to. Plenty of space for a big group. Service was friendly but quite slow. Food tasty but meat not cooked according to requests so take care with steak and beef Dishes.

Team dinner for 10. Very good, welcoming service. Wide range of options on the menu. Nice food - loved the chateaubriand. Overall good value. Would recommend to others.

I dined at Smiths Spitalfields on Friday last. The food was incredible and the waiting staff could not have been more efficient and helpful. I will definitely be back.

Always love this place, and we were accommodated with a late reservation. We had a rare complaint about an overlooked steak but this was taken off the bill with no quibbles. Excellent ambience and service and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I took clients and a work coleague for early Xmas meal . Enjoyed the ambience even though a bit quite good choice of food although luckily had no veggies with us as rather restrictive , Our Waitress was first class and had a great personallity , was not suprised to hear she was a actress and getting ready for panto season . Only downside i would say is bar area downstairs was almost empty and there was nobody to greet us on our arrival and show us to first floor restaurant, and also toilsets are in basement so hike every time one needs convenience although there is a lift . I will definately be going back soon and sure must be great place to lunch when market is open , all in all a really enjoyable experience.

Whilst the food was very good the service unfortunately was not. We order the cote de beuf but were not told that this would take over 45 minutes to prepare. An hour after arriving we had only just received our food and lunch as a whole took over two hours.

Lunch for 3 at 200 quid is the wrong price for average ingredients poorly cooked. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Never again.

The restaurant has a funny layout and the toilet (which is also the bar toilet - so gets very messy) is in the basement. Food and service was good, but wouldn't go back.

Took a client to see the Spitalfields atmostphere. My colleague had been before. My first impressions were that the decor looked a bit functional with little colour. the staff were friendly and greeted us enthusiatically. The meat was good quality and sourced from named providers but the menu doesn't say there are any particular benefits for the diner. The wine list is not huge but the waitress was very helpful in suggesting options. Dessrts were attractive but the 'marsBar' cheesecake needs some refining before it becomes the finsished article. We had an enjoyable evening, the food was good and the staff friendly so well done to them!
