Smith’s Bar & Grill is nestled in Paddington, Central London, it is the first place you see when you walk under the bypass behind Paddington Station.

Known for its high ceilings and almost full-length windows, the natural light in Smith’s is just as nourishing and wholesome as the comfortable furnishings and exquisite selection of food and drink that we serve.

The venue is split into the areas:
• Main Restaurant
• Main Bar & Lounge Area
• Outdoor Terrace Canal-side


Smith’s is an ideal venue for weddings, on-location filming, major launch events, and multi-stage music and entertainment events.
The whole venue can comfortably accommodate up to 200 people for a sit-down dinner and up to 400 standing. Its proximity to Paddington Station (50 yards from the Hammersmith & City Underground entrance) makes it quick to get to for those coming from out of town.

    Really disappointing experience. Prices are far too high for the quality of food and service. My side dish was served cold, and despite clearly mentioning a gluten-free requirement due to allergy the dish came out after the rest of the table had already been served. The waiter was dismissive and didn’t seem to listen to what was asked. For the price point, you expect far better service and attention to detail. Would not recommend and I’d avoid this restaurant. Thumbs down.

    Lovely experience for a special occasion We celebrated my mom’s 50th birthday here, and it was a wonderful experience overall. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, a great place to relax and enjoy a special time. Food The food was fantastic! Great variety on the menu, and everything we tried was delicious. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality. Drinks There was a great selection of drinks and cocktails. We didn’t get a chance to look at the wine list, but we did order a rosé. Unfortunately, the waiter brought us a white wine instead, not what we ordered, but it was still quite nice, so we didn’t send it back. Just a small mix-up that didn’t take away from the experience. Service The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They made us feel comfortable and added to the positive atmosphere. Overall, a great place for both casual visits and special occasions. We’d definitely come back!

    Yes, yes, yes. Fantastic three courses and fantastic wine. First class starter of calamari, followed by one of the softest and most tender pieces of steak I’ve ever had, followed by an amazing dessert. All in all, a brilliant experience. The service was also fabulous. Literally couldn’t fault a single thing. 💙

    Excellent food with impeccable service by Fabrizio. The food is out of this word while the atmosphere is one of a kind which you can only find in London. A beautiful restaurant. A must visit.

    We ate twice in 2 days at Smith’s because we enjoyed it so much. We didn’t try the signature steaks, but instead selected from the starters to eat as share plates, and they were great. The restaurant is very beautifully decorated. Portions are generous, service is smooth, and prices are reasonable. Seating is both indoor and out. Recommended!

    We visited this restaurant on our first night in London as it looked so inviting from the outside. We had a lovely time, and I had a beautiful piece of steak, cooked to perfection. The service was superb, and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Tasty food and drinks, and a wonderful ambiance combined to a great evening. I’d definitely recommend eating here.

    Had a lovely lunch here. The waiter was really friendly, spoke very professional and was very attentive. I ordered this lamb dish which was a decent size portion. The fries are a generous portion as well , so you can get 1 to share between 2. My family got the chicken which was huge, alongside some lovely veg. Would definitely recommend.
