Smith’s Bar & Grill is nestled in Paddington, Central London, it is the first place you see when you walk under the bypass behind Paddington Station.

Known for its high ceilings and almost full-length windows, the natural light in Smith’s is just as nourishing and wholesome as the comfortable furnishings and exquisite selection of food and drink that we serve.

The venue is split into the areas:
• Main Restaurant
• Main Bar & Lounge Area
• Outdoor Terrace Canal-side

Smith’s is an ideal venue for weddings, on-location filming, major launch events, and multi-stage music and entertainment events.
The whole venue can comfortably accommodate up to 200 people for a sit-down dinner and up to 400 standing. Its proximity to Paddington Station (50 yards from the Hammersmith & City Underground entrance) makes it quick to get to for those coming from out of town.

This is a nice venue. It was noisy and not helped by unnecessary thumping music which, when turned down allowed for better conversation. My main objection is that , despite a 15% service charge added to the bill, was also asked to tip the waiters. I don’t under what the service charge was for as I was already paying for the food to be cooked and served. If it is for service, it is up to the restaurant to distribute amongst the staff. I don’t like the waiters telling me that they don’t get it in a form of moral blackmail. We have to try and stamp out this insidious way of taxing our meals!

Overall we had a great experience the staff, food and atmosphere was spot on. Food was to a high standard , my only criticism is the lamb chops didn't come with anything at all, no veg / chips etc, but otherwise couldn't fault it. We were a larger table with 3 young children and we were never made to feel like the children were a nuisance which was nice

Were at a dinner here. Had a wonderful time, the food was superb. From arriving to leaving nothing was to much trouble, we were asked what our choices were, if we had any food allergies . We also spoke with the guest relations lady of restaurants while we were here. Looking forward to returning next time, Recommend a visit!

Me and my partner both had the steak and chips and they were delicious. Cooked perfectly. The ambiance is very relaxed and calm. All the staff were very welcoming and understanding of my dairy intolerance and catered to my needs. Overall a very pleasant lunch experience.

We had the calamari and carpaccio and as mains Chicken, Ribeye Steak with Peppercorn sauce and to finish Ice cream. Well and truly enjoyed it! Amazing service, amazing food! Compliments to all the team. Thank you so much! :)

We had dinner at Smith’s restaurant and had a main course of meat, a side dish and a dessert, all very good and the service is really impeccable! The steak is surely one of the best ever had. Over All very kind and friendly, definitely will be back!

This restaurant has a great vibe and location. I had the lamb chops and they were delicious, and a very sizable portion. The staff from those that greet you upon arriving to servers were very friendly. Service was prompt but not at all rushed. Would definitely recommend and also would go back.
