Entertainment, service, and cocktails were great. The food was a mix of amazing and sub par to an extreme that while we liked some items that were prepared to perfection the multiple items that were cold and/or bland make us hesitant to eat there again. The prices would be fine if all the food was at that level but instead the quality was erratic at best.

Caesar salad was great, foie gras was not. escargot was fair. Prime Rib was good, drinks (old fashioned) were great! My wife and I are eaters and don’t waste time doing it. It Bothered me that as soon as the food was gone, they were handing us the check and encouraging us to get up and leave. My $65 Weller bourbon was only half gone. I understand, they make it very clear when you make reservations, that you only get a certain amount of time at the table. I just wish they would have served us faster if the clock was ticking.

Fantastic vibe, wonderful music. It was our first brunch here and it did not disappoint. We've been coming to Skulls for years and were so happy to find that brunch is as enjoyable as dinner at this special place.

Skulls for Sunday brunch is amazing! The live music by Tabitha Meeks trio (piano, drums and string bass) sings and plays endless pop from many eras and the food is excellent. Perfect Sunday morning and nice change up from the honky tonks on broadway.

Seated right away with no wait at all. We enjoyed the lobster bisque and the meat and cheese board as an appetizer. Highly recommend the bisque, it has a slight sweet taste at the end. I had the filet which was cooked absolutely perfect with a side of blue cheese. The blue cheese was $12 and the smallest side I’ve ever seen but it was very good. My husband had the chef’s special which was the salmon. The Brussels were bland and not cooked all the way but the salmon was delicious. My friend had the monthly special which was the octopus. It looked amazing but she wished it was cooked and seared a little more. All in all it was a great meal. Very crowded seating but still comfortable, dark low lighting and fantastic live music!!!!

Our first visit and most likely last. Ordered the butchers board, the Welch’s grape jelly should have told us all we needed to know. “Best appetizer” escargot was burnt and tasted like dirt. Again should have told us all we needed to know. 20 minutes for the board to come out, another 20 for the escargot and another 20 for salad. Then the entrees. Salmon had the consistency of canned tuna, way over done and mush. Brussels not cooked enough, mashed potatoes had so much truffle oil they were not eaten. 3 fillets, were at least cooked as ordered but the “special” came out without the sauce, so that was another wait for that. Entrees were a 45 minute ticket time and that brought us to 10pm. Where we just gave up and took most to go. The highlights were the $45 lobster tail add ons. I can understand and appreciate everyone can have an off night but for $700 I won’t risk it again. Disappointing experience for us as locals bringing out of town guests after hearing good things. We didn’t even bother staying for the show.

This is our second time coming to Skull’s. Made reservations for our second trip and recommend reservations. Food was AMAZING! Our service was Fantastic, gold star to our waitress Priscilla! We were fortunate to snag a place after dinner in the bar area to stay for the live music and the follow on Burlesque show. It gives a Speakeasy atmosphere. Drinks are consistent and delicious. We had four in our party, each one ordering some thing different and every dish was cooked perfectly. Sides were on point. Bring the wallet as it wasn’t cheap but worth every penny! We love Skull’s Rainbow Room ❤️
