Hands down, our favorite restaurant. We eat at the Ski Tip once a month!
Great service and wonderful food. We added the wine pairing which beautifully enhanced our meal. This was not the first nor the last visit to this outstanding restaurant.
We have eaten here before and there is no doubt the food is amazing and original. The history of this place is very impressive and being family owned is a plus in my book. The only complaint I have was that we were a little rushed through our meal and as expensive as this place is that wasn’t what I was expecting.
Loved our first experience at Ski Tip Lodge. Great service, excellent food in a unique and cozy setting. The highlight was dessert and drinks service by the fireplace in the living room. We will be back!
We had a great time....thanks.
We will make this a must stop at place for our future visits to the Keystone area.
We had a wonderful time at Ski Tip! The wait staff was excellent, and we loved the repartee we had with our server, Cindy Lu. Kurtis, the sommelier, has an excellent knowledge base from which to choose just the right wine to pair with dinner. The rest of the staff was equally attentive. Kudos to the chef, everyone enjoyed their meal! It is also lovely to sit next to the fireplace to have dessert. Thank you to all for a wonderful time!
We were told the living rooms with fireplaces were too crowded for us to enjoy our desserts and coffee in that evening. The main reason one pays the high prices at this place is to end the evening in this special way. This was our fourth time to celebrate our wedding anniversary at this place... we won’t be back
Our favorite restaurant, it was Amazing as always!!!
Great service and food as usual. This is our favorite restaurant in the US. Megan is heads above any sommelier that you will encounter in any restaurant. Her wine pairings are spot on. Thanks for the wonderful meal
Excellent. We had great food and perfect spacing on appetizers and entree. Love the coffee and dessert at the fireplace room. Made new friends from around the country.
Awesome place. Great dining experience. Get their early and enjoy a drink on their patio. Great sunset and saw a fox. Dinner was amazing. The service was very attentive including a very well informed sommelier. A great bottle of “j” wine and awesome dinner. I had an elk steak and my wife had a seafood dish. Both awesome. Then you “retire” to the fireplace for desert. I had the rhubarb strawberry crisp. Great experience. Make reservations now!
4 exquisite courses paired with 4 very different but superbly chosen wines, in a warm and inviting mountain setting, with superb service. Let’s see—did I miss anything? We love this place!!!
We have been going to Ski Tip for 20 years. It never disappoints... Amazing food and service.
Exquisite food & superb service!
Tiny as it is, they have two knowledgeable sommeliers! The food is spectacular with a prix fix menu. Ambiance is lovely and the noise level is wonderfully quiet. Have been there several times over the years and find it consistent.
The Ski Tip is a gem,new chef succeeds in excellent menu choices and creative dishes. Service is perfect with very experienced somoliers and wait staff. The definition of a local gem.
Overall it was a very nice experience. The food was very good but the portions were small for the cost of the dinner. It would have been nice to have a steak or chicken option for the entree. The selections were different than what was on the menu on open table. I guess the menu changes weekly. We probably wouldn’t have gone if we knew this weeks menu as it didn’t look as good as what was posted on open table so I would definitely double check what was on the menu for the week.
Look this restaurant is the best in the area no doubt. The venue is unbelievable, the patio very nice, and being welcomed into the living room/lounge area for a before dinner cocktail is very nice. I've been trying to get into Ski Tip for a few years only visiting Keystone for busy work events and never had luck finding open time slots that worked for me. I finally ended up here and was really wowed by a very unique dining experience. Unfortunately, a dinner was served cold, and we dealt with that awkward "let us heat it up" moment, or moments......something that ruined the dinner. I won't be back.
We were married here 24 years ago and were so excited that return for dinner. The beautiful and historic lodge was just as we remembered it. Several staff members have been there since before we married. They know the history of not just the property but also they know their wines! True professional who are knowledgeable and friendly!
We had a wonderful 3 course meal that is unbeatable in the area!
Outstanding experience. The food was creative and delicious. The service was impeccable. It is an expensive evening but worth every penny.
Superb, as usual
This is a favorite of my honey and I. We took my parents here in the winter and recently went again for our anniversary. The food and atmosphere are exactly what we want. Cozy and comfortable but high quality with outstanding service. The Ski Tip Lodge does not disappoint. It is fine dinning and expensive but worth every penny and doesn't have the snooty feel.
Long one of our favorites, Ski Tip has a wonderful history and backstory and an intimate setting for inventive and creative food. Fixed price with adequate sized portions and options this is the best dinning option in Summit County.
Still continues to be one of the best restaurants in the country! The service is awesome! The food is so creative and everything’s is always delicious!! Can’t wait to return.
Easily the best for in summit county. It's a dining experience!
Love love Ski Tip Lodge. Especially special events.
I write with pleasure to inform that my experience at the restaurant was memorable. In particular, the sommeliers were absolutely remarkable; I have never seen two people who enjoyed their positions or who were more engaged than at the Ski Tip Lodge. My server was also excellent. The lodge and surroundings were beautiful, and if you are in the area, this dining experience is a must—the food was excellent as well.
Super setting with a nice pace. Staff let us relax on the patio until ready for dinner. Once we ordered food, it came promptly. Loved having dessert anywhere we wanted. Excellent service by Curtis, Megan and Dominic. Food was great - loved the cheese sandwich crostini in the tomato bisque.
Another superb anniversary dinner for my wife and me is history at STL. We have come to expect the best at STL and they once again hit the mark.
A new executive chef has brought some spice to the table. If you would have asked me how spiced peanuts and pork belly go together, I might have given you a questioning look. But chef made it work beautifully—and Megan came up with a wine that stood up to the pairing task (as she always does). Although the old standard strudel was not on the dessert list (reprise pending perhaps?), the key lime preparation was terrific, with a touch of tart and bitter that was not overwhelmed by sweetness. We’ll be back.
Life is a special occasion. Enjoy
We've enjoyed dinner here on more than 1 special occasion. The food and service is always fabulous. They have a seasonal menu, which is always full of great surprises and choices! The wine list is extensive and you must enjoy dessert by the fireplace! Everything was excellent!
Great food and excellent service. It was a special experience for our special anniversary night.
These folks never disappoint! The exceptional food is only surpassed by the attentive service.
Amazing foot, lovely atmosphere, great service! Always visit this restaurant when we’re in town!
As expected another beautiful evening. Always a treat when we can get a very last minute reservation. Can't wait to see what the new summer menu brings!
This is hands-down the most wonderful dining experience of my life! I would travel back to Keystone solely to come to dinner at Ski Tip Lodge again. The menu is absolutely incredible and unique. The sommelier, Megan, is an absolute gem and made the dinner so much greater with her wine fantastic pairings. There is no limit to my compliments about this place. So beautiful, so historic, so perfect.
Upon arrival the menu was not the same as what was on the website which was in our favor as it had more options for our party.
Greeted by our friendly waitress (shorter hair with glasses) who was very patient as we waited for our party to decide on food. The two people I would call wine experts were very knowledgeable, our family enjoyed the stories that came with the wine and the Amandah story in regards to the procesco.
Our waitress took time to explain each course that came out with great detail.
Zero complaints on the food as the 3 out of 4 courses were fabulous.
However dessert took a drastic turn..
We had moved from our table in the restaurant to their cozy fireplace with our party to await desserts. Which took 45+ minutes to arrive. We had to inquire where our waitress has gone, another waiter had informed us there was a mix up and it would be out shortly. We again continued to wait while the party behind us was enjoying their dessert which arrived promptly after they sat down 10-15 minutes after our party.
When our waitress finally came out with the dessert, there was ZERO apologies for the hour delay in desserts.
When we recieved our bill there was not only a state/local tax but an additional Local tax.
The manager made an appearance, not to apologize for the delay or confusion but to add a bottle of procesco that she had forgot to put on.
$700+ (not including gratuity + 6.4% 'Resort Surcharge' ) later, our party made the charge using a Canadian credit card which was than declined due to out of country possible fraud charges.
Our waitress came out in her again non friendly attitude to let us know she was on hold with Visa for 20+ mins.
Overall, the food was outstanding, wine list was amazing and the environment was a cozy home feel.
The customer service and lack of letting customers know about the additional double tax was deplorable! We will not be returning or recommending this restaurant due to poor customer service and outrageous tax charge.
Love Ski Tip lodge, great service and delicious food but the best part was the ambiance - cocktails and desert by the fireplace, really cosy and special!
