It's always such a treat to dine at Ski Tip Lodge. The lodge itself is ridiculously charming and rustic. The ambience is particularly warm and inviting in the winter and during the holidays. Additionally, the food and wine are incredible. I highly recommend the wine pairing. Megan, one of the sommeliers, places each wine in a historical context and describes her rationale for pairing the wine with meal. Finally, the service is unmatched. The staff, many of whom have been there for decades, are authentic and friendly. I highly recommend paying the price for this dining experience - it's worth it!

Arrived in time to sit out on the patio and enjoy before dinner drinks; beautiful views of the pine-covered mountains. Taken to main dining room, which is quite intimate and romantic, where we were treated to a glass of prosecco for our anniversary. Both soups were delicious, as was the carrot and greens salad. My wife had the bone-in pork chop, which was large and perfectly cooked, with an interesting heart-of-palm fritter and delicious roasted pepper sauce. I had the magret de canard which was very good. Deserts were enjoyed in the sitting room and both were very good, along with coffee. Service was very attentive throughout the meal. Prices are a bit high, but the supplemental “taxes” add an unnecessary hidden surcharge to the cost. Overall a very nice meal and experience.

I’ve been here a few times. Food on the occasion was subpar. Scallop appetizer was inedible. Our waiter was not the best but the wine sommelier was very good. A lovely place to have dinner just not the best experience this time

New Chef Jonathan is creating a wave of excitement through the laid-back Summit County dining scene. We have always enjoyed our STL dinners. However our last 2 dinners have had some terrific taste twists with perhaps some subtle Asian influence. It is rare that we feel compelled to “thank the chef” in-person for a spectacular dining experience. But thank him we did.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at the ski tip last week. As usual, the food was delicious and innovative. Service was excellent. The restaurant is charming and welcoming. Yes, it's pricey, but it is worth every penny if you are looking for a memorable dining experience.

The pork dinner was not very good. The carrot cake was not good at all. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was awesome. I’ve been to the Ski Tip several times, and this was the first time I’ve been disappointed with the meal.

A perfect dining experience every time. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it for the attention you receive, the quality of the food and the uniqueness of the experience. The chef got creative with an off-menu vegetarian meal for me, Don our waiter helped my stepdaughter with one of her first drinks ever (yes she is over 21 but has special dietary restrictions). Megan the sommelier was fantastic w with her suggestions. And the dessert experience is so great. Perfect spot for a special night! Thank you Dom and crew for everything!!!

I took my parents to Ski Tip Lodge for dinner and, after having read the reviews on Open Table, had high hopes for a memorable experience. We received just that. The service was among the best service I have ever received - warm and welcoming. The food was incredible - decent portion sizes for a fine dining experience (I left feeling full) and interesting flavor combinations. The best part of the dinner was the wine pairing. The sommelier came to the table for each course and shared stories about each wine, the region and vineyards they came from, and why they were chosen for the course. It was truly a special dining experience. The cost of the meal was high - three of us had a cocktail before dinner and adding the wine pairing to the four course meal and, with gratuity, I paid just over $500. For a special dining experience, though, I felt that we received in exchange for what was paid was well worth it. I highly recommend Ski Tip Lodge.

What a lovely experience! If you are anywhere in the area do yourself a favor and make a reservation. Our food was was amazing, prepared is an unexpected way. My husband and I have done many course meals paired with wine, but I have to say in all honesty Meagan gave us the best. Her knowledgable storytelling for each bottle she brought to the table gave us memories of a lifetime. She hit it out of the park! My hubs said it perfectly "This experience alone was worth the 13 hour road trip" We can't wait to return.

Beautiful setting near the lake. Interior of this old building wonderful. Staff excellent. Food very good but overpriced. Some add-on costs which we did not encounter at other restaurants in town. $280 including tip for dinner for 2. 1 glass of less expensive wine apiece. Memorable experience but wish it were more reasonable.

This may have been the best meal of my life and I have eaten at my share of top restaurants around the world. The food was divine, the wine was superb, the service was delightful, the ambiance/location was the perfect place for my husband and I as we were celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary. The cauliflower soup was the best ever followed by the best caprese and halibut which was equally superb in preparation and flavor, the layers of complexity blended yet stood strong independently like a perfect marriage! It was heavenly. Truly one of if not the best dining experiences of my life. Compliments to the chef and all who served us and made the evening historic. My only regret is that we live in VA not CO so it will be too long before we can return for another epic dining experience in a truly special place. I wish the Ski Tip was down the road. Thank you to all for an outstanding night!

Very romantic with excellent service and food. The chef went out of his way to accommodate our plant based diet w/no oil with a few days advance notice. They moved us into another room for dessert in front of a huge fireplace. Loved every minute!

Amazing to be at the Ski Tip for the last seating of the season. The food as always is superb and the service is second to none. Kurtis and Megan the sommeliers are a delight to work with and really make the meal special with a wine paring. This is my favorite restaurant in Colorado.

Charming place in authentic log cabin. Lovely stone fireplace. Service was excellent. Salad and soup courses were delicious. Lamb was tough and flavorless, but vegetables were perfect. Dessert was not good. We had apple strudel and bananas foster style waffle with ice cream. Both were served cold and would have been better warm.
