Skewers Mediterranean Café & Grill Ratings and Reviews
I liked the food and Hila the belly dancer A LOT..she was entertaining and vibrant and interacted very well with the audience. i also LOVED the singer...Great MUSIC...catered to all tastes and genres. AND languages... The only drawback is the hookah smoking INSIDE the restaurant. Initially I was planning on coming back and inviting almost 40 other friends, but that number may not be realized because I think many of them will not come because of the indoor smoking. That was the same reason we did not book at Byblos Cafe on Richmond. Personally, I will go again but I don't know if I will be able to have a big party there or not. Thank you.
Attended this restaurant on Valentine's Day. What started out as a nice evening, began to fall apart as the restaurant got busier. The waitstaff appeared to be lacking a few servers for the busier-than-usual evening. The music was way too loud to on a night you need to be able to speak without other tables hearing. Need to have a better alcohol service policy. After three attempts to please a customer, the owner / manager had to come to explain why the man wasn't receiving his drink, in a voice loud enough to be heard over the loud music.
Food was alright. Best thing : rice. Kabob : dry.
I'm not even going to get into the debacle with the bill. Needless to say, this group of staff doesn't appear to be meant for food service...
I liked the appetizers more than what I liked the main course. We asked for lamb which is supposed to be their speciality and it was barely ok. The service was great, the wine es good, and the dancer and DJ were entertaining. I think it is a good place for group dinning if you don't particularly care for high quality lamb which is what I was hoping for.
Food was good, entertainment was excellent, but the service was horrible. The waitress was friendly but we had to go get her to order more food and drinks. On a Friday night the place was empty and now I know why, it's because of the service. I will not come back there anymore, other restaurants are far superior than this one.
I had searched the web for a mid east restaurant which also had belly dancing. This was the only on which offered that on a Saturday night that I could find. The surroundings were very ordinary like a very casual place for lunch. You could see the kitchen from where we were eating. I felt sorry for the workers and owner since the four of us were the only ones in the restaurant at 8 pm on a Saturday night. Service was excellent and the waiter and owner were very nice. The menu was more like a lunch menu with very few choices with meat from a roast.
