    We are long time Berkeley residents who love Skates for a special evening out. My 90 year old aunt and mother with Alzheimer's had a special evening with good food and outstanding service from Antonio. Thank you Skates for being a Berkeley favorite for years.

    It was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the food and view. Service was a little slower but understandable considering the number of customers that were there. Would like to go back again for a third time.

    Wonderful birthday dinner for my husband with daughter and granddaughter. The view can’t be beat, food delicious and staff marvelous. Quite crowded on a Tuesday evening; several other birthdays and even a fairly large wedding party. Despite the numbers, our waiter was terrific. How he managed to keep up with it all, providing outstanding service, is beyond me. Wonderful selection of seafood and so delicious. Locally sourced, prepared to perfection. And always room for dessert. Making choices is the hardest part.

    My relatives were visiting from the East Coast and wanted to celebrate them. Skates is a special place for special people. They enjoyed the view and the food. It’s my go to place for good food and impeccable service. Emily H

    We enjoyed another delicious meal with great service! Brittany, our server, was kind, attentive and efficient as she served us in a timely manner and made very good recommendations about what to order. The view of the emerging sunset was spectacular!
