El restaurante Skates es famoso en la bahía por su menú innovador, su utilizo de ingredientes frescos y porque ofrece una vista espectacular de la bahía, del puente de la Bahía, del puente Golden Gate y de toda San Francisco. Este histórico y hermoso lugar de reunión frente al mar, que ofrece pescado fresco y una vista maravillosa, renovó su interior en Abril 2010, añadiendo una nueva barra de mariscos, un salón comedor con paredes de vidrio y un nuevo menú innovador. Skates on the Bay fue inaugurado originalmente en 1983 en Berkeley Marina. The hostess, after first offering an unsatisfactory table, graciously seated us where we preferred to be. Beatriz, our server, was OUTSTANDING! Patient. Knowledgeable. Helpful. Concerned (Consulted with the chef on ingredients to make sure of no allergy problems.) Personable…..Just great!

We got there and sat us away from the window where the view is awesome asked the manager there is we can get a window seat they accompanied us . Then the service and the food where outstanding our server , was fantastic 👏 very nice and gave too notch service 10 all over the board a very positive and the best service. Thank you .

I had requested a sea view table when making the reservation, but unfortunately was not seated at one, even though there were some empty tables available. That was a bit disappointing. That said, the food was overall good and enjoyable.

The food was passable. Our waiter was friendly enough but rarely checked on our table. The servers did not seem to know table numbers and wandered around with our food before arriving at our table; and when they did find us, simply put the food on the table and left, leaving us to organize the dishes ourselves. For the prices charged, the food quality was barely passable and the service terrible. I would not recommend this restaurant

It is one of my favorite restaurant in the bay, the food fabulous, and the service perfect, eve though was busy 2 waitress was coming often to see if we need something else during the whole dinner.

Fantastic dinner at Skates, thank you! My nephew got accepted to UC Berkeley and I requested a window seat, my family was amazed by beautiful view, thank you for a magical night!

Having booked for the ambience and view, the food was better than i remembered. The staff was friendly but device not on point and it was a bit overpriced. But given the view, ease of getting g last minute reservations and quality of food i still highly recommend

We had a very nice lunch with wonderful cocktails and decent food. The service was amazing and you can't beat the views! But the interior is in need of a redo. Even new paint to break up all the tired looking gray would help.
