El restaurante Skates es famoso en la bahía por su menú innovador, su utilizo de ingredientes frescos y porque ofrece una vista espectacular de la bahía, del puente de la Bahía, del puente Golden Gate y de toda San Francisco. Este histórico y hermoso lugar de reunión frente al mar, que ofrece pescado fresco y una vista maravillosa, renovó su interior en Abril 2010, añadiendo una nueva barra de mariscos, un salón comedor con paredes de vidrio y un nuevo menú innovador. Skates on the Bay fue inaugurado originalmente en 1983 en Berkeley Marina. Recognizing that today was Fathers’ Day and you were very busy, there was a 15 minute delay in our being seated. The Waite staff seemed inexperienced and overwhelmed. The failed to bring bread to the table and had to be reminded. The individual who brought the food seemed to be confused by who was to receive which dinner, she placed the wrong order in front of me and seem get upset when corrected. Our food was delivered cold, but we didn’t complain. We took our food with us. Service was very poor today.

We used to come here all the time for Christmas Eve dinner, Easter, Father’s Day and Mother’s Day but hadn’t been here in a while. We came for Father’s Day and we were 10 minutes early for our 12:00 pm reservation. The hostess was very nice and told us we would be seated closer to our reservation time. Our reservation time came and went and we were seated 40 minutes after our reservation time. You could tell they weren’t prepared for the number of people who made reservations. The food was good but nothing really stood out. Every table has a lovely view of the bay. Unfortunately, it is so loud in the restaurant you won’t be able to hear the people at your table.

Some of the best tasting food I've ever had. Waiter was a pro's pro. Will be back.

Antonio ( waiter) made our evening special. The food was great and tasty and the view was beautiful. It was our first time and not our last. Everything was above and beyond. My only complaint was when I made the reservation I asked for a window table, we were not given a window table. When we arrived I saw several empty tables by the window I again asked hostess for a window table and she said none were available, the tables sat empty the rest of the evening and never she let us move. We still had a good view and a grea time. Steve

The setting is lovely but the food was mediocre. The service was not good. We waited a really long time after ordering. The waitress forgot to take one of our orders so I had to track her down and so that delayed everything. She also forgot to bring an entree and had to refund us. My son had a half plate of pasta left over and they cleared it. For the price, you would expect them to offer a Togo box.

Another great evening at Skates watching the sunset. Delicious food, excellent service graciously provided by our server, Britany, and a friendly ambiance.

I have not been served one bad meal. Every meal that I've ordered and have eaten, has been enjoyed. Also, the desserts are delicious.
