I have been to Sistina many times, for lunch and for dinner. I find it to be a gorgeous place, especially the Garden Room where you feel as if you are dining outside. The service is impeccable and not intrusive. I have never ordered a dish that was not delicious. I keep coming back. It is pricey, but the prices are well-deserved!
Absolutely beautiful setting with outstanding service and ambiance. Will definitely return again.
A neighborhood gem perfect for special occasions!!
Much prefer the main dining area when sitting for two.
I never write reviews but I will about Sistina. This place is always outstanding! Great food, beautiful dining room, and excellent service. Our waiter Jahangir was supper attеntive, friendly and sweet. We had a wonderful lunch. Thank you! And we will be back soon
Very, very good but more expensive than expected
Wonderful Experience, food was outstanding and service was first class Truly a remarkable experience,we definitely recommend coming back again sooner
Fabulous experience. We have been to Sistina several occasions and it is consistently delicious. This past week, we celebrated a birthday. The food was fantastic (in particular the wild mushroom ravioli with truffle cream) and the service was impeccable; Our waiter was particularly attentive to our needs without being overbearing. Great drinks as well 🍹 definitely we are coming back soon
Parents 64th anniversary!
Sistine is always fabulous.
Amazing kitchen and ambience.
Very good, even excellent Italian cuisine. With daily specials the menu has a lot of choices. Since it was white truffle season, they had them, but made no mention of what certainly would have been a stunning price had we not known. There is a "good value" couple pages on the wine list with about a 3+X markup, but the superb and vast rest of the wine list looks more like 4x-5x (maybe more for some). If you have a day or two to browse you might find something of better value. The food is more reasonable than the wine.
Most beautiful bar in Manhattan. Delicious, elegant, thoughtful menu, charming service, and charming owner Giuseppe. Favorite neighborhood spot - never get tired of it!
We went to sistina for the first time after hearing many good reviews from others and we were not disappointed. I highly recommend the veal and the pasta dishes. My scallops with black truffle were quite delicious as well. We loved the desserts and the extra treats the waiter gave us. They also have a lot of specials they where so many that we couldn’t remember so impressed for the way the waiter described we will try the next time, but the a la carte dishes also looked tempting. It was an altogether delightful repast and I highly recommend Sistina to anyone looking for creative pasta and meat dishes served by a professional staff
The Maitre'd was so objectionably rude and surly that I would do my best not to return to what would have been a lovely dinner. There is no reason to behave the way he did!
Sistina is housed in a beautiful space. There are two rooms. The back room is quiet enough to allow for conversation. The front room has a much lower ceiling and the noise level is high. Not conducive to an easy to hear conversation. The service started out fine, although it did take too much time for the server to discuss the menu selections with us (people who arrived after we did were given the presentation before anyone came to us - I guess they are regulars, so being known there seems to matter). My friend had pasta with seafood which she said was outstanding. I had scallops - they were fresh, but non-descript. No server came by during the meal to refill drinks unless we flagged someone down. I would return, would try the pasta or a more substantial offering than a few small scallops, if for no other reason than the restaurant is beautiful, the seating space between tables is generous, and the other diners looked happy and their dishes looked great.
We had a wonderful lunch here after a morning at The Met. Lovely room, wish I could have tried the bar, great service and excellent food. Every neighberhood should have such a fine restaurant.
Absolutely delicious food. Very lovely ambience, despite a large family birthday party going on at a table next to us that interfered somewhat. There are TVs in the bar area which seem somewhat off-putting to me, but the dining room is lovely. Will definitely put it on our list for the future.
Sistina is the perfect place for a unfilled lunch in midwinter or for a marvelous dinner. It's a great place for an occasion, to hang out with friends at the bar, or for a family dinner. Everything about Sistina is first-class. It's a place to treasure and savor.
Hated were we sat. In the back room on an outdoor patio chair. Hated the ambiance. Sorry I sat there but now I will never recommend this place. Main dining room has what I was looking for
Manager is curt. Appears to think we are the ones privileged to be there - not that they are privileged to have us. We were entertaining a colleague and had to apologize for the brusque attitude. Servers tried to make up for it. Dishes were fine but not memorable. Won’t hurry back.
Sistina is a great place to go for dinner
The staff was very friendly, attentive and accommodating and did not hover. The branzino in salt was outstanding!!!! It was beautifully prepared and plated; clean, fresh, moist and tender with incredible flavor the choc soufflé was delicious we definitely coming back great work
Excellent in every respect.
Great restaurant for lunch everything was delicious we love everything service and food where The food was exceptional and the ambiance was perfect. We had 4 dishes and I was shocked at how reasonably priced everything turned out to be. Will most definitely be back highly recommend
Nice place for a birthday celebration
John from Istanbul did a great job taking care of us. Was our first visit but we’ve told several friends how much we enjoyed it. Great location.
Sistina is the perfect upper east side Italian for superb food, attentive service in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. The wine list is outstanding with excellent choices available by the glass. There are numerous specials in addition to the extensive menu including wonderful pastas and salads. Try the swordfish Milanese -my personal favorite.
terrific menu containing both traditional, authentic dishes and new, inventive ones. excellent wine list, including very good selection of half bottles. outstanding cooking and service, everything superb!
Everything we ordered was delicious and the presentation for desert was a work of art.
I have been here many times since their move. The food was always tops, until.....
The quality of their food has really gone downhill and their prices have skyrocketed.
I was there with 2 friends. We all had salads. Not good:( Not sure how they can mess up a salad, but they succeeded:(
I ordered the scallops which (all ten of the small ones) arrived with no vegetables, or anything else.
Their deserts were just OK.
All told, sorry to say, will not be returning.
Food and bar is great. Highly recommended for dinner.
We hosted friend from Piedmont, Italy and had a superb meal. He said “This is very like a restaurant in Italy. The food is excellent and the Parmesan is better than you would find most places in Northern Italy!” His first visit to NYC — you guys brought your “A” game!
It’s a relax place with extraordinary staff and great food. In love with all
This was one of the best meals we as a family have had in NYC! We were there for the New Year’s Eve prix fixe menu and drove from Toronto to be in NYC and have a great meal at Sistina.... it was just utterly fantastic!! Thank you Mr. Bruno, Nestor and Renzo. You and your staff have outdone yourself with the delicious menu options and the award winning wine list!! We loved the four course meal, in particular the spaghetti with caviar; he decor; the DJ; and the overall atmosphere you put forth. The room and clientele were all happy and dressed beautifully which added to the positive atmosphere of what a New Year’s Eve should be. Bravo....Here’s to Next Year!!
Sistina is really a treat. Service is a 10 out of 10. The food is delicious. They serve a Branzino in salt risotto with truffles and the best home made pastas in all NYC we love to come to this beautiful restaurant at least two times a month we love this place, one of the best restaurants in the world definitely highly recommend
Food, wine and service , amazing. Beau
Simply the best of the best. and not just in NYC, the world.
Food and service - exceptional. Charming but noisy dining room. Wine list outrageously expensive with virtually no options for less than $100/bottle. Sadly, cost will make this a special occasion spot only.
Sistina is not a good value. Two glasses of wine cost $58. A simple pasta entree with truffles $120. Cold bread with 2 tabs of butter. Dinner for two $375. Very disappointing experience. Stay away!!
Came here with my girlfriend for our two year anniversary. Everything from service to food was fancy and excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for special and expensive ($175 for 3 course meal for two) night out.
Every time the experience is amazing. Wonderful food impeccable service great wine list. Beautiful decor
A perfect evening
This is our favorite NY restaurant and has been for several years. Terrific Italian food. Wonderful service.
Perfect in every way possible
