A perfect meal.
Excellent service. Amazing food. Beautiful ambiance. We were there for a business meal, but I would recommend for any occasion at all.
Wonderful evening with outstanding food, wine and service from our waiter, Caesar, all within a beautiful atmosphere, Highly recommend.
Everything, from the moment we walked in, was fantastic. Appetizers, specials, entrees, wines, music, service and especially the quality of food and ambience. 👏🏽
This restaurant is amazing. I have eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed in any meal I've had. The wait staff and hostess are very professional, knowledgeable and nice. Atmosphere is beautiful.
Always excellent- best food in NYC
My daughter and I enjoyed this restaurant very much!
Our family of 6 finished up at the Met and we were looking for a place to sit down for nice, early dinner. Just around the corner couldn’t have been more convenient. The view of the green space from the dining room was relaxing and the quiet, refined atmosphere was a refreshing alternative to the hustle of the Met. On vacation from Texas, we’re a bit out of our element in a “Beverly Hillbillies” kind of way, but the staff was nice to us anyway. Cesar, especially, took good care of us. The food was unique and very tasty. A bit pricy - but given the location, the atmosphere, the attentive service and the high quality of the food and wine I felt it was worth the splurge and would highly recommend Sistina to anyone looking for a special dinner. I understand the chef has another restaurant in town - we look forward to trying it soon.
Fantastic food service an ambiance. Can’t wait to bring friends there.
Service was impeccable: attentive, accommodating, knowledgeable and professional. The extensive wine list and sommelier are more than worthy of the 2018 Wine Spectator Restaurant Award. From the fresh oysters to the soft shell crab to the veal scallopini with black truffles to the grilled apricots with assorted finger cookies; everything was superbly prepared and beautifully presented. A must after a full day at the Met or any occasion.
Cesar is charming. Sistina is a treat. Expensive, but "special". Great wine list!
We had a delicious dinner sharing an appetizer and each ordering a pasta dish for the main course. The restaurant is really pretty and the tables are well spaced. Although it might be more expensive than our average night out it was certainly worth is and I will definitely be going back.
Great restaurant .
One of NYC's finest restaurants! This is the place to enjoy an excellent meal in a fabulous ambience and with tremendous food and service.
Fantastic food, amazing service, beautiful restaurant! All around one of the best dining experiences we have had in Manhattan. We will most definitely be back again!
The food selection was varied and everything was delicious. The ambiance was very appealing and the attention to details outstanding.
EVERYTHING FROM START TO FINISH WAS SPECTACULAR! THINK OF THIS PLACE FOR ALL OF YOUR SPECIAL OCCASIONS.
Outstanding dining experience! I will be returning soon!
Fabulous! Beautiful room, GREAT food.
Absolutely first rate in every way. Truly! Even a bit better than its sibling, Caravaggio, and that, dear reader, is saying quite a lot.
This was a lovely dining experience but for one thing: there is no accessible bathroom. The bathrooms are a long marble staircase away from the dining area, and that same staircase is used by the wait staff to bring food from the kitchen which seems to also be downstairs. Last night someone offered to accompany my husband, but I would be afraid that such help would not be available all the time.
The food was great, the pasta was amazing and flavorful. The ice cream was great ! Excellent Italian cuisine!
We only had a bad experience by finding an insect in my drink. The drink has been replaced right after showing my glass, but I was expecting more than a just a replacement of my drink. They should normally offer at least the drinks for free. It’s quite expensive restaurant I was expecting better service or reaction
The atmosphere was very nice and the appetizers/wine were fabulous, but the main course was dry(pasta) and the pork chop was raw. Not very happy and probably won't be back.
As you walk up the few steps to Sistina's door, you already feel that you are in a kind of wonderland. There are two beautiful spaces, the main dining room and the garden room--hard to choose between them. Superb food and a fine waitstaff. This is an elegant place in every respect.
A wonderful, hidden gem. Our reservation was honored promptly. The service was impeccable from start to finish. We were not rushed at all. Time was taken between each course. Wonderful wine list. The decor was beautiful and the back pillows were an elegant touch. Well done, Sistina.
Jovani was an EXCELLENT waiter.
We've been to Italy numerous times, so it's a bit of a shock to admit the Sistina is not only the best Italian restaurant in the world, it's very possibly the best overall restaurant on the planet. Attention to detail, genuine, warm, caring people and food that tastes and is presented way above world-class, contribute to a dining experience that hits all the right buttons. It is not inexpensive, but this gem truly shows that you get what you pay for. Not to be missed.
Superb restaurant. Excellent food (our pasta dish was to die for), great service and ambiance.
Come here often with my wife for dinner. Best Italian food on the UES - no contest.
Best Pasta in the city, IMHO.
Lovely lunch in a very relaxing atmosphere! Great service
I rarely write a review but feel compelled to do so in this instance. My family was there for a mid-afternoon graduation lunch. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. Everybody in attendance gave high marks for the ambience and notably, the very comfortable chairs.
OUTSTANDING!!! - What else is there to say. This is consistently one of the finest restaurants and dining experiences in NYC. Not "inexpensive", but worth every penny, and then some. Not our first time there and I can safely say that my ratings reflect consistency.
I took my mom to the ballet and then to Sistina for dinner. I chose the restaurant because it looked so pretty online. Sistina is more than just a pretty face. The staff could not have been more accommodating to us. The food was delicious. I felt the menu had something for everyone. My mom eats more mainstream food. We were able to chose a dish that pleased her.
The wine list is so extensive somewhat overwhelming. But we were offered help in choosing.
Cannot wait to go back with my husband for my birthday!
Sistina never disappoints. We had an amazing dinner, the service was impeccable and we can’t wait to return in two weeks!! Thank you all at Sistina for making our Anniversary celebration perfect!
Everything was very good. Nice people, good service and amazing ambience. Will return for sure.
First time in Sistinas. The experience was short of expectations and in my opinion a bit overpriced. Deserts are definitely overvalued. There are too many options in NYC to recommend this place. I will not come back.
Besides the food being beautifully delicious, the wait staff took excellent care of us, especially our main server , Giovanni.
(Not sure of the spelling of his name.)
We've been going to this great Italian restaurant for years. Their old location was relatively quiet, which was part of the appeal, along with the terrific food and friendly service. The new location is spectacularly beautiful, but unfortunately much noisier, for those looking for quiet on the UES. Our group of four had great pastas, risotto, veal, artichoke with shrimp appetizer, and yummy zucchini flowers. We didn't have room for dessert, so they let us take home a container of the fragole di bosco! Very kind.
My wife and I took out Clients for a fabulous meal.
The food and service were phenomenal.
Be careful when you order a special.
They don’t mention the price and you will be shocked when the bill comes.
The food is great but the prices are 20-30% higher than a fine Italian restaurant.
Not a place For everyday dining but for special occasions it’s truly recommended.
Excellent Italian food, first class service and a very vibrant ambiance.
