Our waiter was great and did everything well. However, when asking the host or another waiter to close the door leading to the patio, because the wind draft was making it cold near us, they declined because it would make it hard to push the door as the served those outside. Kind of ridiculous of you ask me. Most of our food was decent. The cocktails were better. One big flaw with the food is that one of my friends ordered a medium rare burger and received it very rare. We of course had to send it back and she had to wait longer to eat while the rest of us had our entrees. Not sure I’d go back to this restaurant due to the service and issue with my friend’s meal.

Feedback on Somerset Breakfast I recently had the Somerset breakfast and overall, it was a decent experience. The eggs were cooked well, the potatoes were flavorful, and the sourdough bread was a nice touch. However, the sausages were disappointing — they appeared microwaved, came out dry and lukewarm, and lacked the quality I’d expect, especially at the price point. As a family of four spending a considerable amount, I found this aspect of the meal a bit unsatisfying. A small improvement in the sausage preparation could make a big difference in the overall experience.

We used to dine at Somerset when living in Chicago few years ago. My son was looking forward to have a brunch there the day of his birthday. I cannot express the level of dissatisfaction for service and food. Much has changed!

Food quality, service (attentiveness and timing of courses(, and cocktails (room temperature martinis)… all a big disappointment

We go there for the waffles and they are light and crunchy and great w/ the honey butter served alongside but the fried chicken was terrible almost felt like a bad frozen chicken that was refried and looked and tasted unappetizing. Another time the beet salad was so salty that it was inedible. Our server was either new or inattentive- we asked to check with the kitchen for food substitution. Never checked back with us until the food came out and we had to ask the table staff to call our server. Besides this food came out of turns and incomplete. Service spoiled the whole experience. They have a beautiful restaurant with a nice patio for a beautiful weather and some of the items on the menu are prepared well. However they should revise the menu for some new items (more paninis and soups) and keep the winners like the waffles and crispy potatoes.

It took a while for the food to come out and mine came out cold but they did fix it and then it tasted good. However it seemed like they were running behind on food for many people.

I had brunch with a couple of friends for my birthday. We've never been here but the reviews and the menu seemed like a nice fit. Let me just say the pictures don't do it justice! It’s such a lovely vibe. Since it was absolutely beautiful, they had the doors open which led to their outdoor seating. Everyone that we interacted with was super friendly and the food hit!! My friend had the egg croissant with breakfast potatoes and I had the fried chicken and waffles which came with fresh strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries. We both cleaned our plates! I totally recommend and definitely come back to check out their dinner menu.

Tuna salad was awful, straight out-of refrigerator and looked as if seared a week earlier. Rest of food was good

The French toast was dry and hard. I prefer it to be softer. The rest of the food was fine.
